NOBU, NOBU, NOBU. I've heard soo much about you. The space is dope, it looks like you are about to have a fresh, technically prepared, flavorful meal. And you are. The ambiance is great for date night but, she better be special lol because the prices and the servings are not mutually exclusive lol Overall the food was great. Nice flavors that dance on the pallet. The food is made fresh as the servers pace the meal very well. But it felt like I was being rushed through my meal instead of being allowed to enjoy it. I also had the nobu champagne which was good but standard. I was very impressed with the sake (last listing on menu) forgot the name but it was brilliant. Bright, fruity, refreshing. Glad I tried nobu, but not a restaurant I feel I must return to. Hype is real, but definitely hype.

Tried Nobu Atlanta on a Saturday night and it was ok. I tried the Spicy Edamame, Charred Shishito with Mustard Miso, a Hand Spicy Tuna Roll, and the Nobu Classic Rock Shrimp Tempura with Spicy Sauce. The Spicy Edamame was delicious, not too spicy and perfectly heated. The Charred Shishito were so delicious, however, some were VERY spicy. If spicy isn't ok for you, you'll be taking a gamble with this dish...but I loved it!The Hand Spicy Tuna Roll was pretty good, but the rice, tuna, nori ratio was heavy on the nori. The Rock Shrimp Tempura...not good. I would definitely not order this again. It was an overpriced bang bang shrimp, but not as good. The tempura was soggy, the sauce was bland, and I was unsure it the shrimp were full cooked. The ambiance was appropriate for the image they want to have. The music...a bit too loud.I'm not in a rush to return, but if I did, spicy edamame and charred shishito stay on the list.

This place is very hype heavy and mostly for good reason. The service here is top notch! I mean honestly it was not stuffy like I had expected it to be but more friendly and welcoming. Hats off for that! The menu online and what is in the restaurant were slightly different. The item I wanted for my entree (the spicy seafood soup) is no longer available even though it is on the online menu. I opted for some other items in it place including the spicy vegetables. They were pretty good and well prepared and it was actually pretty spicy. The veggies were el dente. I also had a California roll and a piece of salmon nigiri. Those were good as well but nothing better than I have tasted at a less expensive place. The table also shared some shishito peppers that were flavorful and a bit spicy. The yellow tail and the lemon shrimp were not my favorites. They had a taste that just wasn't for me. My two favorites and highlights were the spicy edamame and the white chocolate dessert. They were both simply amazing! My overall take on this place is that the hype is real and the food is solid yet expensive. I would bring someone I was trying to impress here but not dine here regularly.

I'll start with the price point. It's not cheap. But in my honest opinion, the quality of everything I ate was well worth it. The service and recommendations were immaculate. I described my palate to the server, and she guided me expertly from my drink (Unfiltered Sake) to my rolls (yellowtail Jalapeno). The highlight of my meal was the Tiradito Nobu Style, but the roll was so good I ordered another. If I find myself in the area, I'll probably stick to the bar so I can try out some of the cocktails in the swanky atmosphere. The lighting and decor create effortless sex appeal that makes you want to come back.

We came to Nobu for a date night and it's a very sleek and swanky Japanese restaurant located in the Nobu hotel across from Phipps Plaza. I started with the lychee martini and it was delicious. We then opted for the omakase 7-course meal "chef's choice" and it did not disappoint! The Omakase started with spring rolls topped with caviar and a delicious pico dip. Then we had a tray of sashimi sampler, including snow crab leg , red snapper and tuna. After that, we enjoyed a platter of Nigiri as well as a plate of trout and crispy spinach. By this time, we were getting really full and then we were presented with the fried Seabass, which was super buttery and delicate, and then we ended off with the American Wagyu steak, which was tender and delectable. Nicely curated assortment of dishes. Lastly , for dessert we enjoyed the whiskey cream with chocolate compote espresso. Service was excellent and very attentive. Delicious!

My boyfriend selected Nobu for our anniversary dinner and while neither of us have been to this one, I was excited to try based on my experience in NY. Plus I love sushi. I want to be sushi. We had an 8pm reservation and were seated immediately after the host wished us a happy anniversary. The dining room itself is pretty nice, but I did still feel like I was in a hotel lounge. I mean, it pretty much is. It was fairly busy but the customer service was on point so I didn't have any concerns there. Our server was great, though I did anticipate he would have a little more to say after asking us if it was our first time, to which we said yes. Not a huge deal, but I do love when servers provide info or recommendations that may solidify the best possible experience.I started with a Lychee & Elderflower martini. It was very underwhelming, which was annoying because, as we all know, Nobu is where you go to spend unnecessarily, so for $20 I'd rather it not remind me that I've had better. The sushi roll was also comparable to the $5 rolls at Kroger, but I didn't see any specialty rolls on the menu so it is what it is.My boyfriend had the 8oz hanger, which he rated a 7/10. He didn't have much to rave about. Now on the other hand, my cod with miso? A+, 10/10, highly recommend. That dish honestly saved my experience from falling flat and unmemorable. Overall, I enjoyed everything, but this particular kitchen doesn't allow the menu items to taste worth the price. But that's my boyfriend's problem, not mine! :)My expectations may be too high, but I was disappointed that they don't do any anniversary celebrations (dessert, complimentary glass of wine, whatever.) I expected a place like this would, but they do birthdays -- the table next to us was celebrating.Ultimately, I went once, it was decent, and I don't have the urge to return. Glad we finally tried it out, though.

The food is good but I wouldn't say it's spectacular for the price. The tuna tataki with tosazua was my favorite dish, it tasted like soft beef jerky. The drinks were 10/10 and if I'm honest, you go there for the ambiance and the service. My only annoyance which is probably a Nobu standard is the way you are expected to order the food. They have the menu split up into cold dishes, hot dishes and sushi--you have to order them in that order, cold first then hot and sushi last. For the price, I would rather be able to just order what I want when I want.

We stayed at the hotel so we decided to try the restaurant! I've heard of this place before, so I was pretty excited to go. I would say that this place is super pricey so be prepared to spend $$$. The restaurant had an air of luxury, so it would be a perfect special date night spot. We tried both the breakfast (twice) and dinner (once). The breakfast was our favorite. We loved everything, and the portions were pretty generous. I would definitely go back for that. I think if I were to go back for dinner, I would focus more on the dishes rather than sushi. They really excelled in those I felt. There wasn't really anything special with the sashimi, but we were blown away by their signature black miso cod and truffle risotto.

As an Atlanta native and a travel foodie I was so excited to hear there was a Nobu now in Atlanta. We made a reservation for 8 pm to celebrate my best friends birthday now being that this wasn't my first time here I anticipated the service and the food to be nothing short of amazing like my first time however that was not the case.To start we all placed our drink orders which came out fine. After drinks we put in our appetizer and entree order. For the most part we ordered family style to share except our entrees. I'm assuming the food comes out at the time it's prepared to ensure freshness which is fine so everything came out at different times. After about 45 minutes and the server letting us know the rest of our food would be out shortly I realized I had not received my sushi roll. I asked our server because everyone at the table had received theirs. She told me she would check on it. I then told her that if she forgot to put it in, it was fine. We can go ahead and skip it being that I was already full off of our other items we had and we were basically done with dinner I know things happen but it felt like there just wasn't any concern for our experience. She did try and rectify it by offering to have it made but by this time the restaurant was basically empty and we could tell it was about to close. We then asked for bags which everyone knows Nobu has nice takeout bags and who doesn't love a souvenir lol? Someone who wasn't our server then brought us out regular brown takeout bags we asked if we could get the Nobu bags and he explained to us that they were out and they usually run out pretty fast. as soon as he leaves the table, the table next to us with two women received the bags. He was still close to our table so I'm assuming he heard us voice our complaints. My friends felt as if it could've possibly been a race thing being that we were African-American women there and the two women at the table across caucasian, however I don't like to make things about race, but it did feel a little unfair. Our server then comes around with the bags and explains to us that she didn't know why he told us that we didn't have any bags because we did so it could've been a small mistake but it didn't feel good to be treated differently. I know that Nobu is known for a certain clientele however I do feel as if everyone should be treated the same especially after an $800 bill for five people and tipping our server.overall the restaurant is beautiful. The food is good and fresh. I would recommend if you have never been however it's not somewhere that I have to go back to, these were minor inconveniences but being a foodie, I was a little disappointed, especially being that I had such a great experience my first time.Dishes to try:Yellowtail jalapeño Organic chicken Short rib dumplingsParmesan miso rice with truffle
