Nightingale Karaoke and Bar

I've been to Spotlight twice and both times was for a private party. The room was a nice size (I think capacity was 25 or so). It had a small stage area and plenty of seating. They have a decent song selection. The computer system to select songs is pretty straightforward to use. It's nice not having to wait hours to sing a song. They don't serve food, but you can bring in outside food for your party. The waitress was great about checking in on a regular basis whenever we needed drinks.Parking is mostly street. Be sure to read the signs because some of the meters do not expire at 6 pm like the ones downtown. If you can carpool or Uber, that would be the way to go.

We reserved a section to host a bachelorette party and when we arrived, our section had a leak. We asked for accommodations and the manager was very rude to us and dismissive. He raised his voice with us when we asked to be moved to another section. His reasoning was because the other section was reserved. (The same size booth next to us was empty and he said 20 people reserved it. How?? It was 8 of us so idk how 20 would fit.) There is a way to talk to customers who want to be accommodated. Instead of treating us with respect after we were inconvenienced because of a leak in the section they chose for us, we were treated as the inconvenience for not wanting to stay in that section after he offered to just move the table down from the booth. I received my refund but I will never come to this establishment again. I will stick to the one off westheimer.

I'm under the impression this place is alright. The DJ said I had an hour till I could get my song in. I come back at 1:30, and this mother f*cker said I had 10 more songs in front of me!!! Seriously? You say something like that, and screw over people who are in line? Not cool man!!!

Nice place for date night. The food is sometimes good but, don't go there for it. And the songs list is nice. Wish they added Dean Lewis' Be Alright

Very recently, we had booked Spotlight Karaoke Midtown for a university event.Although, there was miscommunication and the staff was late 45 minutes to the event, I have to commend this business for their service afterwards. They went above and beyond to get us whatever we needed when they arrived. They were not only apologetic and urgent, they extra mile'd and check on us every so often to make sure we were serviced appropriately.Charlie was an amazing host, and very accommodating even when he ran late.For this, they deserve 4 stars.I almost wrote a negative review but seeing how Charlie and the team reacted after the inconvenience, they definitely deserve the credit.I will definitely suggest this location for an outIng to others, even with the inconvenience we had.

This place needle in a haystack loved the service and atmosphere. Drinks were delicious I went for my brothers bday they had a private room fun private loved that. Restrooms clean And nice as well. Going here for my bachelorette here next weekend let's see if they get back to back good nights but overall must stop by Houston Spot right here. Never forget to tip bartender and waitresses because they hold it down. 5 Stars well deserved.

My friends love to Karaoke for their birthday.. so we always find ourselves at Spotlight LOL. We reserve a room and the only cost is making sure you hit a bar minimum which is easy... drinks are well priced, the space is big (fits 25 people) and it's fun to catch up and sing songs with everyone. I wish they had some other song selections but it definitely has classics and "club bangers" lol.Parking is a nightmare cause it's midtown, but you can pay to park for $20 right by it if you wish. Great fun spot & we always have a good time!

This literally was the worst experience of my karaoke life. There was literally 10 people at this bar and I signed up in which some awful dj named dj Tara or kara literally had them all sing twice or more and I was never called. I waited for over an hour watching repeat singers with no indication if I was coming up. Talk about terrible list management. Never coming here again if I could leave no stars I would

Late review (but better late than never). We went to Spotlight for my best friend's birthday in 2021 and had a blast! The venue was excellent, the drinks were great, and the vibe was nice for a private party. We had so much fun and the hostess was super sweet. We will definitely be back.

My first visit was fun (private room), plenty friends and family. The watered down drinks sucked. But, I'm not a drinker, waitress, ummm okay, not too friendly. But, I gave her a pass cause I could only imagine dealing with people in a club for HOURS. Second visit near the bar area, same watered down drinks, prices extremely ridiculous. But, here's where it becomes a NEVER for me, the service sucked, very rude and disrespectful waitress til the point where guests were being ignored. I am very convinced THESE PEOPLE do not like black people. Hopefully, me outing them will change their behavior. If not, PEOPLE take your black dollar where it is appreciated. Many prejudge, but our group consisted of many business owners, doctors, nurses, etc. Eyes wide open if you must attend. But, it's a never for me.
