Curry Tonkatsu ($13 as of Sept 2023). It's ok. Egg was well done instead of runny. Curry lacked depth

Dined at Night Market noodle around 7:30pm on a Sunday evening. The restaurant wasn't as packed so we were seated right away. The interior is nice, all booth style. I tried the Spicy Black Ramen, Fried Rice and Pork Gyoza. My friend had the Tan Tan Men. The pork gyoza was good, your standard gyoza...I just wish there was a better dipping sauce for it. Fried rice was OMG sooo good! It was very fresh, you can tell the it was freshly prepared. I really wanted to like the spicy black ramen, but there was something about the broth that was very salty. However, beyond the salt you can tell the flavors are there. My friend enjoyed her Tan Tan Men Ramen, you can also get the numbing oil on the side.

I truly love this strip of restaurants and cafes because they all don't miss! I wanted to try something instead of udon so I sided with ramen. I love the interior and aesthetic of the whole place and surprisingly it was close to being empty on a Saturday evening. The inside definitely reflects the name of the restaurant. Since it wasn't busy the service was quick and attentive. The food was a bit above mediocre but nothing blew me away. It was definitely on the better side of all the ramen places in Houston. I would come back if I'm in the area craving ramen. But for now, I might have to stick to my all-time favorite udon restaurant a few doors down.

I was a bit disappointed with this place after hearing all the hype about their noodles. The Tsukemen was hard to finish. Noodles were cold, pork belly was underwhelming, and the dipping broth was lukewarm. I was expecting a rich, savory, and spicy broth but it tasted bland and mostly peanut-y. My friend ordered a shoyu ramen which I got to try and it tasted nothing like what you would expect shoyu to taste like. I think I would rather eat instant shoyu ramen... She was unable to finish her ramen despite being hungry... which is unfortunate to say. The service was good though and I appreciate the cool interior design of the place. Hope they can improve their broths.

Southeast Asian Style Curry Mee, similar to those found in Malaysia and Singapore, has been debuted by Chef Mike MT. This dish features fried wontons, fish balls, and chicken, served with thick noodles in a rich, silky coconut-based curry broth, and is topped with my favorite crunchy fried lard. It's a feast in a bowl, bursting with intense flavors and balanced with the right amount of heat, along with a generous amount of protein. It definitely reminds me of the hawker centers in Malaysia.Chef Mike Tran is an innovative chef who brings unique Southeast Asian flavors to Houston. I hope you get the chance to taste this special noodle soup.@ramenmoto_tx

Stop by with some friends for a quick bite after work. The restaurant is located in a strip center with plenty of other restaurants. Parking was pretty easy around the time that we went, but it does get busier during the evening. our waiter was very kind and attentive to our needs. They did it expressed that they renew on the job, but they did an awesome job to me. Our table tried a few different appetizers and entrées. Everything was really great! I don't really have too many notes, so let's get to the important part,THE FOOD! Kimchi - 4/5Free cabbage - 5/5 - sweet, touch of vinegar, nice crunch Edamame - 4/5 - warm and salted Takoyaki - 3/5 - this is a harder one to grade as I didn't really dislike it, but I just don't think it's for me. I wish the inside was a bit more firm.Demon Ramen 5/5 - you can smell the spice! Nice and filling with the perfect kick! Shoyu Ramen - 4/5 HAKATA CHASHU DON - 5/5 - loved the poach egg! The pork was super tender. I ate it with some of the chili powder, ginger, free, cabbage, and even a little bit of kimchi. Delicious and very filling! Sidenote, the bathroom was nice and clean and their water was excellent. I know it's weird to comment about water, but water does have different taste. Along with my little slice of lemon it was a perfect refreshing beverage. Oh, and another random note, they split all of our appetizers between our party! That was so awesome to me. You typically can't split appetizers, or even have to ask the waiter to do so, but ours did it without us asking. Extra points for that!Anyway, go ahead and stop by the next time we're close. I will definitely be back and you give them a try!

Okay so this is my second time here and I had a great experience. The exterior had a cool vibe and the inside is brightly lit. There's a handful of booths that fit about 4 - 8 people. It's a cozy spot so I wouldn't come during peak times without waiting a bit. Service was great!I had the demon ramen -- it was super tasty and certainly has a kick! I personally love love spicy food so I could have used a bit more spice but other than that, the flavor was so good. I got the thin noodles and added bean sprouts. The egg is hard boiled but the yolk is still jammy. Super tasty!

Ramen as usual was great! Ambiance always clean. Table very well stocked with napkins, chop sticks and spoons. Ryan was our server today and let me tell you he's great! He checked on us more than twice to make sure we were good. The key thing today about his service is he asked if we need scissors! We had kids, this means he is observant, and he understood maybe kids that are young prefer their noodles cut! Good job bro and keep it up.

I think this place has changed concepts a few times - it used to be a Thai market but is now a noodle night market. Not sure it's the same owner or not, but we came by to check it out.We came on a Friday evening and there was only one table seated. Our waiter immediately greeted and seated us with the menu.We ordered the pan fried pork gyoza as an appetizer. It came with 6 gyoza and a spicy dipping sauce. The gyoza themselves were pan fried to perfection. The pork inside was super flavorful and sauce wasn't even needed. Would recommend this.I ordered the curry Tonkatsu as my entree. I really wanted to like this but it was kind of underwhelming. It didn't really have that depth that ramen generally has, nor the richness. The flavor was just okay, nothing special, and it needed a bit more meat. The egg was over cooked a tiny bit but still tasted great. The noodles had a nice chew. With its wooden bench seats and structure, the ambiance is very similar to Ishin Udon a few doors down. The restaurant is clean and the waiter was super attentive and nice.I think this is a good place to try but maybe try the tonkatsu or black garlic Tonkatsu instead of the curry!

Some great finds here! We tried a few things to sample the menu and I will return for my faves. Ebi Chahan (5+/5): Wow this was surprisingly good. So fragrant and tasty! It was topped with an onsen tomago that should be immediately cut into and mixed with the hot rice so it continues to cook! The portion is definitely enough for a meal. Don't be fooled by the unassuming picture in the menu! One of the best fried rice I've had around town. Tori Nanban (5/5): traditional Asian chicken nugget breading and seasoning topped with a yummy egg tartar. Juicy, tender, and definitely recommend!Curry tonkotsu (3/5): love that the ramen came out piping hot but there's not a lot of "meat" in this bowl. It's just a large spoonful of ground beef. The aji-tamago was cooked beautifully! Fair warning this dish has some heat/spice. I did ask for the chili oil on the side and still felt like it was at the peak of my spice threshold. The flavor of the broth was good, but I couldn't finish the dish due to spice level. I'm sure it'd be more enjoyable to those with a higher tolerance. Coco-curry men (4/5): coconut curry base - if you like coconut curries, this is it for you! Very fragrant, less spicy, and loaded with protein and other! This seems more filling than the curry tonkotsu. I really wanted to try the artichoke tea, but at 7-7:30 pm, they were out! Maybe next time...Lots of seating in here and service was attentive as we were the only table.

May have found my new fav ramen spot. Came here on a weekday lunch and it wasn't packed. I got takoyaki which was standard and the spicy black ramen which was very flavorful. You get a good chunk of chasu pork (that were not too fatty) and the egg is also perfectly cooked. Many noodle options here so would def come back.
