Zhengxin Chicken Steak

The bento price meals caught my interest by how cheap it is by $11. Located in Milpitas plaza along with Ten Zen and other Asian restaurants. They had various main meat options for the bento menu. They also serve an assortment of Chinese street food chicken, sandwiches, and snacks. I was intrigued that they had numbing peppers as a flavor option.Ambiance: Place was empty, felt like this place was new. Ordered through kiosk. There's 3 seasoning shakers if you wanna add more flavor or spice to your dish.Service: Took about 13 minutes for the food to get ready, staff was friendlySpicy chicken cutlet rice plate $11 (4/5): It wasn't that spicy, tasted mild in spice. The chicken wasn't dry and the yummy. The vegetables and the rice with met on top complimented well. I ordered it to-go and the might have crispiness diminished over time but it was slightly crispy by the time I ate it after 20 minutes. I'd come again for the bentos. It was filling and delicious on the go

Zhengxin Chicken Steak delivers on flavor with their Spicy Chicken Leg Burger, which is both massive and satisfying. The chicken itself was the star of the show--crispy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, with a nice kick of heat that keeps things interesting.However, the supporting elements fell short. The bread was lackluster and didn't add much to the experience, while the lettuce wasn't the freshest, which detracted slightly from the overall quality.That said, the well-executed chicken makes it worth a try, especially if you're a fan of bold, spicy flavors. With some improvements to the accompaniments, this could be a standout option.

More of a grab and go kinda place but there are a few tables inside if you want to dine in! There are tablets inside for you to order or you can opt to order the traditional way at the counter. I got the popcorn chicken, big chicken sandwich, fries, sesame balls, and chicken burger to try. Overall their chicken was satisfying and delicious! Popcorn chicken came in a generous portion and was fried and seasoned well. They really weren't kidding about the big chicken sandwich being big.. it was quite massive. The bread was a bit dry but the chicken and the sauce in the sandwich made up for it! Chicken burger was decent as well. The sesame balls I got were a little under and could've used more time in the fryer but good overall.Definitely try the chicken when you're here, everything else can be skipped.

3.5 stars. I really wanted to like this place, but the chicken was so so so dry. I got the mild pepper, but didn't love the mala taste. The rice was decent and there were both napa cabbage and broccoli. I did like the 1/2 egg they added. Main entree chicken katsu was just too dry for my liking. It was tough to cut through and felt like jerky. May try the drinks next time, but will pass on the chicken.

This is lst location of a Chinese fast food eatery with Nearly 20,000 locations worldwide.Offerings: snacks, drinks, sandwiches, wings, nuggets, rice plate (bento box), desserts, chicken steaks..Ordered at counter. Paid. Food ready in 5ish minutes.Eats: Chicken Fried steak (1/2 lb. 6.99) pepper flava.-cut into "bite size" pieces. Dusted with pepper. Tasted like authentic mala initially. Mala later faded. Should have added more from dispenser nearby. -crunchy crust from panko crumbs. Breast meat within marinated, panko'd, then fried. -didn't understand the process till i found videos online.Zhengxin can demystify their products by posting a simple video about how their product are made. -was speaking to owner the whole time i was eating, forgot to take adequate pics. *Chicken Fried Steak is unique. Eating it involves "dusting" chicken et. al as needed when eating. *CFS has similarites & differences with Shihlin's chicken, Japanese Tonkatsu, German wienerschnitzel, America's southern chicken fried steak. Sips: milk tea (comped by owner)-de fault 30% sugar level is perfect. Would skip ice as it's melting dilutes drinks. -milk had velvety full flavored essence. Probably a premium level or equivalent brand. . *owner says a new line of boba drinks is being developed. Staff has Taiwan veterans with boba skills. 4.5 stars....bbq. Skewers may roll out soon. Excited to taste new products ...**owner sees streamlining their elaborate food making process & supply chain issues as short terms issues. Menu will evolve as slow selling items will be replaced..Thanx to owner for milk tea gratis, assisting me will ordering flava for chicken fried steak..

I wanted to give it a full 4 stars.I appreciate the staff helping me pick this order.But, after I got the chicken and wanted to put the powder. It felt almost impossible to get some spice out of them. All of them.Chicken was hot and tender. Drink was okay, wasn't something unique.It has a fast food ambiance and food came out fast enough.Give it a try.

Ordered: Chicken sandwich combo Comes with a chicken sandwich and a drink! I didn' have any expectations coming in and I saw a couple of reviews saying that this place was similar to Shilin so I was curious to try it out. The chicken sandwich combo comes with a drink (your options are milk tea and fruit tea) and I think it was around $11-12 which is reasonable for the amount of food.The chicken sandwich itself is huge. Mine didnt come as one piece of chicken, instead came in a big piece and a small piece, but I'm not complaining. The chicken was flavorful and juicy and had the perfect amount of spice. I see where the reviews were coming from when they said it tasted like Shilin. I would definitely come again!

A new chain from China makes its way to the Bay Area, specifically to Milpitas. It is close to the porridge restaurant.Fast food vibe with familiar red and yellow colors and cute chicken wallpaper on one wall. Restroom out of order or some door that looks like one. Kiosk ordering available. There is only a few small tables available to dine in.Chicken Cutlet with rice set: One chicken chop rice (original) + one drink of lemon green tea or orange green tea. The chicken was crispy and nicely seasoned. The side of mixed frozen vegetables (American) and kimchi (Korean) were an odd pairing for this rice place. Overall, 3.5 stars.

Similar to Shihlin Taiwan chicken but cheaper.Got the chicken steak with plum (sweet) and cumin dry seasonings. It was good. Not dry considering some of the reviews. 4/5Also got the spicy chicken wings. They seem to be similar to popeyes breading. They seem to be marinated in spicy marinade as the underlying chicken is oozing with spicy oil. 4/5Service was fairly fast.Its a casual snack place.Parking in the plaza is generally easy.

This potato noodle is very good, the quantity is so big that you can't even finish it in one night. It has vegetables, mushrooms and beef. Their fried skewers are also very good. Will come back next time.
