Yami bowl has been our go to takeout spot for a couple of months now. The food is delicious, the staff is great. I can't talk much about the ambiance, but the times I've gone in and out, seems like a good vibe. The hostess seems to know her patrons which is a rarity in general.Food:I've had the steak teriyaki, pad Thai, and potstickers. The steak is good, great flavors and sauce. It's served with white rice and vegetables (we always omit the vegetables). The pad Thai is good, great flavors. The potstickers are good as well, just your average potsticker.I enjoy ordering from here, my partner likes it too. All in all, a great addition to the neighborhood and hope to see them thrive!

Yami Bowl initially made me think that it was a fast casual Chinese/ Japanese restaurant that focused on bowls of food with one or two toppings, or a plate lunch. Think Yoshinoya, Waba Grill, and Flamebroiler--can you blame me? Yami Bowl is much more like your standard hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. Service with classic fares, but also twists, like popcorn chicken? The portion sizes are generous and the taste, while not exactly what I'd call, "authentic", it was still pretty good. Maybe a slightly different take on some of their dishes, but still quite close. Inside limited seating with not really much decor. Just one of those places that probably focuses more on the take out business. Parking is limited in the small lot shared by multiple restaurants, but enough. I'd consider visiting again.

TLDR: Great place for a nice to go Thai meal.Tried Yami bowl and was not disappointed. Placed the order on phone and it was ready for pick up quickly.Ordered the maximum spicy level for my drunken lNoodles and since I can handle the spice I absolutely loved it!

This place is a hidden gem! My partner and I were craving things that would be great with rice and Yami Bowl did not disappoint. Their menu has a nice variety, offering teriyaki, Chinese, and Thai food! Tonight, we had the Combo Bowl and Eggplant and Fish in Garlic Sauce, both of which were excellent. The dishes were very comforting... reminds me of some really good home cooking. The Combo Bowl is a plate with rice, veggies, chicken teriyaki and gyudon beef. It was delicious, but the chicken blew us away. It was smokey, tender, juicy, and just some of the best grilled chicken I've had. I'll definitely be getting their teriyaki chicken next time. The Eggplant and Fish in Garlic Sauce was great too. Crispy fish and the eggplant wasn't super greasy. The sauce was sweet, sour and slightly spicy. Very tasty and definitely a rice clearing dish! The service was very friendly and attentive. Yami Bowl is a great addition to the neighborhood and I can't wait to come back!

Literally one of the beeest finds! We were looking for a dinner spot in the area and landed on Yami Bowl.We placed our order online from their website, and it was ready by the time that we got there. The store gave mom-and-pop, homey vibes. When picking up our order, the owner gave us a rundown of everything we ordered. You could tell that they cared about the food they served; everything was packaged with intention. They poked a hole in our popcorn chicken to keep it crispy, and placed a piece of cardboard at the bottom of the bag to keep our food standing up in the car ride... overall, great attention to detail! If you have to try a few items here, we read around and found that some of their most popular items were eggplant with fish and popcorn chicken. These CERTAINLY didn't disappoint - the eggplant was flavorful and garlicky, and the fish was soft and loaded with flavor. The popcorn chicken was crisp and moist on the inside, though it wasn't too spicy. We made a spicy mayo sauce at home to dip it in, and it tasted amazing!Everything was priced fairly IMO - a little sad that we found this later than we hoped, but we're already looking forward to our next visit! =)

Food was ready when we got there for a phone order. We got the Pad See Ew, Popcorn Chicken and Stir Fry Green bean. Popcorn chicken was pretty soft, not crunchy. Pad Thai had good flavor but not alot of noodles. The green beans were yummy. The amount was enough for two adults and a baby. Inside was very casual. It was our first time and for sure will be back. Service was good.Private lot in front.

Ordered pickup and it was ready in less than 20 minutes (though the estimated wait time said 25). On the 15-minute drive home, the spicy popcorn chicken got a little soggy but it crisped up in the air fryer just fine. The shell is smoother, with less breading than Taiwanese popcorn chicken or usual fried chicken, but the inside was juicy and tasty. I could see spices scattered on the chicken but it really wasn't spicy at all, just spiceD. The pineapple fried rice unfortunately didn't have as much salt as I would have liked and suffered the same sogginess as the chicken. It's also possible that the rice wasn't fried to dryness enough in the first place though. It contained 8-10 large pieces of shrimp, cubes of ham, peas, carrots, raisins, cashews, and of course, pineapple.Decent portions (what looks like "snack size" for the small box vs large takeout container meal of fried rice). Definitely enough for two people, as we had some leftovers.

It's a cute little place that feels homey. The owner was sweet and attentive; she gave us utensils based on what we ordered. It feels just like how your mom would prepare the table for you. The food was affordable with big portion - we got green beans, the spicy Thai basil pork, and sweet and sour chicken. The plates were steamy when served, and they all tasted very "homemade". It was well seasoned. Can't wait to try other dishes next time!

4.9/5 stars!WOW! This will definitely be my new go-to restaurant for Chinese food. With a menu of both Chinese and Thai selections, I was excited to see so many different options that were mostly on the cheaper side. I ordered for takeout and the person I spoke to on the phone was very nice. Once I came in to get my food, the employee at the front (who I believe might be the same person I spoke to on the phone) greeted us warmly. She told us our order wasn't ready yet, but she kindly showed us the food that was prepared and explained each one. I loved her customer service and her extremely friendly personality! Anyone can come for either takeout or dine-in, the inside is very clean and has some pictures of food on the wall to help you choose. We got the Mapo Tofu, Chicken in Basil Sauce, Salt and Pepper Fish Fillet, and Eggplant in Garlic Sauce to eat family style. Each item was delicious and something I'd consider ordering again next time. The tofu and eggplant were both covered in their own unique savory sauce that went well with rice! The basil chicken was tender and had a good amount of veggies, same with the fish. I would only say that I prefer the tofu a bit softer and the salt pepper fish could've used a little more seasoning, but that is easily adjustable. Every dish I had scored high with me, I felt they each deserved an equal rating of 4.8/5! I would recommend anyone to try this place out. The plaza it's located in might get overlooked, but it's absolutely worth going to just for this spot. The employee I met made the experience even better because she was a joy to interact with! I'm hoping lots of success for this small business and I will return to try more!
