NEW LOCATION IS IT!! I was initially sad that they moved because of how convenient their last location was and how they brought the party to that intersection but upon seeing the new spot I've fallen in love all over again! Beautiful decor, nice music, and the previous staff is still here to welcome you :) We ordered the Caesar salad and the xingones nachos with the addition of carnitas and they did not skimp on the toppings!!! They generously added more meat than they did at the old location to our pleasant surprise :) prices are still the same which is awesome and nothing seems to be missing off of their old menu much to my relief. We will def be back! definitely a downtown Oakland staple that we cannot go without!!!

So it's pretty obvious I love this place! I've even followed them over here to their 4th street location since they are no longer open over on Washington. No surprise there since the area is rapidly declining everyday bring more and more unhoused who seem to have drug issues. It's pretty sad to see because the area could be so great it has so much potential. So here we are again and I can't even lie they have the best fries! Crispy and delicious especially with the orange sauce! I could drink that stuff it's so good. Loving the new location too! Great space even more spacious, clean and just overall freshness! If you haven't already give this place a try! Especially on a game night where it's sure to be packed and all the TV's on!

Service was sweet and helpful! You order at the front and get a number. I really liked the decor of the restaurant. The bar looks amazing. I'll have to go back to try some cocktails. Food wise the xingoes nachos were good. The salsa sauce that came on them was my favorite part. The fried chicken came out steaming hot and had good crunch. The waffle is more of a crunchy waffle than a soft waffle. The horchata was top tier.

Love xingones. Been supporting this business for years since Fort Green. Super excited to see them at this new location for about a week. Please go support them.Ordered asada & pollo tacos, a drink, and 2 chicken pieces - they ended up giving me the waffles too. It was about $30 total. The tacos were cold and asada was overcooked, which was a bummer. I also felt taco filling amount was less than I remember. I hope they work out the kinks. Also suggesting that they put a stool at the sink where the bathrooms are so kids can reach the water and soap.

Been meaning to eat at Xigones since their move from old oakland to jack london. Their menu is a bit confusing because I tried coming in for brunch on the weekends, but they are never open.We eventually made our way in for lunch and we ordered a 2 piece chicken with waffles, an asada taco, and 6 piece wings with korean spicy sauce. Our taca came out kind of cold, fried chicken was ok - on the dryer side, and the wings was super dry to the point where even the sauce did not cover how over cooked the wings were. I did like the waffle texture tho, that was the "best" part of our meal. One thing that was surprising to me, while this is a sit-down restaurant, service will be minimal. You order and pay at the door, find your own table, and water is self service at the bar. They bring you your food, and then that's it. The only reason why I made a comment about it is because they asked me to tip while ordering, and I feel like you can't tip without receiving your service. TLDR - food was ok at best, other are so many other options in the neighborhood for similar food.

This has been my go-to friends chicken spot for a while and they really make the best fried chicken!!! Perfectly seasoned and the meat is moist and flavorful. Never had a bad order from this place. And their Mexi burritos are AMAZZZING! Their carne is seasoned and cooked perfectly with so many different spices it's like a party in my mouth. Quick and speedy service and great spot! way better than their original kitchen space at Fort Green

Quality/Quantity - Small Dry Rub Wings - 6 pieces. Decent size wings. But not that impressed with the dry rub. It was just okay. The carrots were actually sweet though. Came with ranch.Shrimp Taco - Decent size and with good flavors. Generous cabbage. A good amount of shrimp, 3-4 medium size pieces. Came with two sauces.Pollo Tin Tin Burrito - Chicken burrito, generous portions. I was impressed that my buddy was able to finish it. I guess he will not be eating dinner tonight.Atmosphere - On the corner of Washington and 8th. Inside the Fort Green Bar.The only signage is a small red sandwich sign. So look for the Fort Green banner.Small location.Plenty of metered street parking. Service - Counter service.Price - $35 + tip.Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2016.

Service - you order at the door and then sit down once you've paid. While there is not a lot of service, their staff is friendly overall. It did take us a while to get our food but it was also Friday night. They had many patrons already filling up the space.Excellent $4 street tacos! The handheld corn tortillas are moist and pliable- that's how you know they're made with love. The fish and shrimp selections are super fresh. I wish I had ordered 3 instead of 2 tacos. Their carne asada burrito is also very well seasoned and satisfying with ample meat, rice, and beans.Fun interior - sports bar "lite" without blasting you with large screen TVs left and right, while retaining their colorful vibe and inviting ambianceSo glad they opened up a location near us. We will be back for sure.

I met my husband here before an event nearby and I'm a fan. I actually didn't realize the area it was in and asked him if he wanted to go to any of the other places I'd been to since it was near my old office, but he was locked in and I'm better for it. We started off with a round of drinks, carne asada tacos, and I got the First Friday taco. The mango margarita was delicious and I was a big fan of the tacos. I would have gotten a second First Friday taco but since it's pretty big, helped myself to a second carne asada taco. The meat was tender and well seasoned and the tacos all had a perfect bite. The staff was friendly, it's a touch divy but not overly so, and it wasn't crowded on an early Monday afternoon. I would definitely return and try some other items on their menu.

Fried chicken burrito. That's all I have to say. I absolutely love it! Everything about it is delicious. It's not a chicken burrito that's fried btw. There is fried chicken in the burrito lol
