This might be my new favorite brunch menu in Emeryville! I just wish they were in a bigger space. Food is amazing, service was excellent, but seating is very limited - so go early, and only as a party of 2 if you want to be seated in a timely fashion. We were a party of two that arrived around 10am on a Saturday. We were seated within 15 minutes of joining the waitlist. Food came out quickly after ordering. My Loco Moco (5/5) was DELICIOUS, and the portion was huge. I took home leftovers. My friend enjoyed the bulgogi omelette. We also split a short stack of the lemon ricotta pancakes (4/5) the lemon flavor came through but I couldn't really tell if there was ricotta. I also got a yuzu tea, which was sweet and citrusy, and served in a lovely glass teacup. I definitely want to come back to try more on the menu! Thank you to our wonderful and attentive servers, and the chef(s) for their quick work!

Amazing service and the staff are very polite. The wait was a little long as expected to come for brunch on Sunday. Food was very good also and ingredients are well prepared. Loved my fried chicken and waffles, wifey loved her ricotta pancakes. Will try the Loco Moco Next time. The ambiance is a little on the louder side since it's a small place. But cozy and feels very welcoming. Will definitely come back and visit The Sunday... on other days as well. Message to the two guys that helped us today: You guys are very very welcoming and nice and polite and The Sunday is very lucky to have both of you guys working there. You have made our day!!!!

Came here on a random Sunday in the way home and couldn't have been happier. It's a very small place, limited seating. So if you wanna little wait time I would go early or make a reservation. The service was very fast. The servers were very knowledgeable and attentive. Answered all the questions I had. Food was amazing, I had the Sunday omelette so so good. My husband had the loco moco, he finished the whole thing. Can't wait to come back! :)

We went to The Sunday on Sunday! I've been wanting to go back since I first tried this place maybe a yr ago. It was surprisingly busy even around 1:30 pm! It is a small space though, with most tables seating only two people. We started off with some house coffee, which was nice and comforting. Nothing spectacular, but reminded me of an old diner experience or home. The sugar container reminded me of old pho spots I used to go to as a kid!For food, I got the spicy fried chicken benedict with home fries and the bf got the bulgogi benedict with tater tots. Both were so good! The hollandaise sauce on the spicy fried chicken benedict was soo spicy but so yummy and savory! The chipotle hollandaise on the bulgogi benedict also had a little bit of a kick and was a nice savory complement to the sweeter flavor of bulgogi.Even though I've only been twice, this is one of my fave brunch spots in the east bay! I def want to go back and try some of their other items. The table next to us got loco mocos- a spicy version and a normal version, and it looked soo good! They also have a cute wall full of all diff types of hot sauce that people can add, which seems fun to try for spicy food lovers!

Bookmark the spot forever. Finally made to the east bay. Super busy for weekend brunch. Meter parking. 2-3 tables inside with few outside tables. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out fast. Overall, this was a standout brunch with flavors I don't usually get to enjoy in a typical brunch spot. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for something a little different!

Stuffed French Toast: 6/5. Just plain delicious. Breakfast potatoes: 2/5. Relatively flavorless but not outright burnt or poisonous.Bacon Cheeseburger Omelette: According to the carnivorous garbage disposal I call a boyfriend who slammed this one down, a solid 4/5We came to The Sunday in need of some serious breakfast goodness and this spot didn't disappoint. Although there was a long wait, it's not uncommon for a sunny Sunday morning (the irony), and it was well worth it. The space itself is nice and the staff were all pretty polite, so they get points for that, too. I will absolutely be back for more!

The Sunday is a great place for brunch ANY DAY!On the recommendation of friends, we met up at The Sunday for an early Saturday brunch. The indoor seating is quite cozy, but there were additional seats open outside. Because it has been cold recently, we were thankful we were able to score seats inside without much of a wait around 11:00 AM.For the menu, the food had an Asian American fusion vibe. With the four of us, we were able to get a good sampling of the menu:Loco Moco (4.5/5) I liked how this one had a nice kick to the gravy, all while savory and luscious with tender pieces of hamburger meat. It was one the highlights! The Sunday Omelette 2 (4.5/5) Another dish that surprised with the heat from the buldak sauce! It provided enough of a kick that wasn't too aggressive even for my friend who doesn't tolerate spicy much. The omelette also had a good amount of fixings inside to make it decently filling.Korean Style Chicken Wings (3.5/5) Solid korean style chicken wing. Good mix of flavors and executed well.French Toast (3.5/5) Another solid french toast offering that had a good helping of fruit! But not as special as some of the other dishes.Service was attentive and helpful even as the restaurant was starting to get busier. There is street parking available if you drive around but may have to pay meter on certain days so be careful!Overall, The Sunday offers great Asian inspired brunch offerings worthy of checking out!

Great service. Waitlist is Online. Menu Online. 2- party res.ordered 1- Chicken Benedict 1- Spicy Chicken Benedict (Spicy on the after taste) 2 cup coffee; reg and a decafChicken Benedict with white Country gravy. Poach egg made to perfection. English muffin tough to cut through. Would rather have a steak knife to cut through it. Ended up picking it up with my fingers and eating it like a pizza! Didn't finish it but ate all the rest. Tasted my friends Spicy chicken benedict and at first bite, it was so bad then the kicker happened and it was too much for me! Coffee hit the spot! Not too acidic.Cozy, friendly, family style ambiance.I would return again f
