The Angry Hot Chicken

The kiosk wasn't available so we placed the order with the lady cashier. There was no receipt when order was placed. I had to ask for it. The lady says it cannot print receipts. She showed me her monitor screen of the total charge and asked I take a screenshot of it. From the screen, It says no printer is connected. This is very interesting! Does this mean they have not been giving out order receipts from the register?! Now comes the fun part. From the screenshot of the receipt, there is a $4.80 tips of the $21+ order. I don't mind giving a tip on a to-go order. However, how can you automatically add a tip without customer's consent?! The lady says that's how her boss sets up. This is very shady. This is not the way to do business. I requested to get the tips back. The lady says she would need to call her boss. I told her I would like to talk to her boss so please call. She then went to the back and came back to open the register and gave back my money. I know business is tough these days but a business got to have honesty and transparency. The hot chicken I got was just heavy coded paprika or Cheyanne pepper powder. There was no flavor of the chicken.

The trouble with trusting "influencers" is they tend to make things seem better than they really are because they want to make their own stuff seem worthwhile. That's what happened to me here. I got the number 4 - chicken on mac n cheese on fries.First the good: It's a generous serving size and the staff was nice.The rest is bad.The place is not easy to find, but many of the best hole-in-the-wall places are like that, so I will NOT hold that against them.Sodas are listed as $3.25 for a bottle, but I was charged $4.50. I didn't argue about it, so not sure if it's a price increase or was a mistake. None-the-less, either overcharged or over-priced. I paid ~$22 for my one food item and my soda including tax. The food was the big disappointment. The fries and the mac n cheese were completely flavorless. You wouldn't even know you were eating fries and mac n cheese if you couldn't see them.The chicken itself was mediocre at best. I got the medium heat. It was pretty mild. On that I get it. You don't want to scare people away with the spice level. I wouldn't eat here again, but if I did, I would get the next spice level up. It had a great level of crispness to it, so that's actually another positive. Again though, almost completely flavorless. Then, perhaps to try to mask the lack of flavor, they coat it all in their "secret sauce" which is really just a thousand island type aioli. I ended up throwing about half of my plate away.

The person working was super nice, place is open late, and the place has a student discountI don't have any photos, but the lack of seasoning was very apparent. We got hot and I usually have a bad spice tolerance, it was not even remotely spicy. The chicken was dry and did not leave a pleasant aftertaste in my mouth. The fries, were at most alright. Probably wouldn't come back respectfully.

We came here late night for a quick dinner. It was a small place with a few tables for quick service. I was a little disappointed with the heat of the chicken since I was expecting it to be spicy with the good kick! We ordered the medium slider and hot tender. The size of the chickens were very good and juicy but I felt like it was missing the heat. I felt like they forgot the spicy flavor overall accidentally. I was expecting the big kick like other hot chicken places. It came with honey packets that elevated the flavor a little bit more. We ordered the Mac n cheese on the side but wish it had more flavor to it. I'm willing to try it again but hoping it has more heat.

The food here is delicious! I really appreciate the staff, especially since they stay open so late. I got the angryhotchicken fries and it was really good. The food was piping hot, the chicken was juicy, and the mac n cheese was creamy. The portions were big, as I got this to share with others. The store isn't super big but does have seating available. The parking isn't too bad either, as it's in the same plaza as 7leaves. Highly recommend this spot for late night cravings!

This is my favorite fast food spot!!My boyfriend and I ordered the Fries combo #4 (2 Chopped Jumbo chicken loaded Fries with Mac n cheese) It comes with coleslaw but we asked for no coleslaw. The chicken is DELICIOUS. It's not dry, freshly made and the crust is crunchy and spicy and tasty at the same time. Paired with the creamy cheesy Mac n cheese made with penne pasta. ((((They used to use macaroni but I honestly HATED How it tasted before they switched it to Penne and now I love it))) And the fries are seasoned well so the combination of all the flavors is amazing!! I don't have any complaints. We have ordered pickup from doordash from here for almost a year, and have spent alot of $$$ ordering from here but NO REGRETS Side note to Owner: PLEASE KEEP THE PENNE PASTA NO MACARONI

This place is very similar to Dave's Hot Chicken as they both have nearly identical menus. I prefer this place over Dave's. I got the combo #5 which is a chicken slider and some fries. I ordered the chicken as hot hot spice level. It's a bit unfortunate that they serve chicken tenders only. The piece in the sandwich wasn't really that big, so maybe 1/4th of the sandwich had no chicken. Looking at past photos, the chicken looked a lot bigger and had better coverage. The hot hot spice wasn't too bad, I could feel it but I wasn't begging for water. Overall taste of the sandwich was pretty good. Buns looked a bit defeated. Kind of like the cheapest burger buns you can find at a bargain grocery store. Coleslaw was good, kind of similar to KFC's. Chicken was crispy, crunchy, flavorful, and relatively juicy. Fries were just okay. It wasn't seasoned with salt so it was bland.

Not the best food! I ordered combo#2 with a side of tenders the fries are ok! The tenders are nasty they taste like old fried oil, there was a hair in one of my sliders!!! I ended up throwing my food away no refund no nothing!See image for update I replied to the owner via message and was just left on read. Careless!
