Best Mexican food in Hayward. The fish tacos are stellar. The flautas are perfect. The other tacos are delicious.

This eatery is located inside the Dirty Bird Lounge, food can be ordered from the kitchen to the right of the bar. Service was standard, the lady took our order, gave us a number to take to our table, we seated ourselves, and about 15 minutes later, the staff brought our dishes out to us. We got the steak sliders which came with fries on the side, and beef and mushroom empanadas listed on the specials menu on the wall. The sliders were quite delicious, and the fries were even better (thin and lightly salted), especially with the strong drinks served from the dirty bird bar. The empanadas were okay. I liked the mushroom version better, which came with a mix of onions and bell pepper. The beef empanadas came with no other ingredients except ground beef, even though the staff told us that all of the empanadas come with onions and bell pepper. And the ground beef was a bit lacking in flavor, so luckily it came with an oil-based sauce on the side which had good flavor and chunks of veggies/herbs. The venue was a bit noisy, and transformed into a club atmosphere later into the night, with the DJ playing awesome tunes on a Saturday (mainly hip hop, and an old school mix). Seating was easy to find earlier in the evening, but filled up before 10pm. Decent spot for a late dinner this past weekend, pretty good for bar food, a filling meal.

Kept seeing this place on Yelp and finally decided to check it out. It's located inside of the Dirty Bird Bar in downtown Hayward. There's street parking available, but there's also a parking lot available behind the building. You place your order, they give you a number and you find a table and they bring your food out. We got the Birria Tacos and the Lemon Pepper Wings. The birria tacos came with consomé and were way better than I was anticipating for a restaurant that's inside of a bar. The purple onion gave the tacos such a good flavor. The wings were really crispy and had lots of flavor as well. I was very happy with the service and quality of food and would return to try other itms on their menu.

I didn't I realize that this place was inside dirty bird. We came here on Saturday and we tried out their burrito and their nachos. Food are a bit pricey but the food is pretty decent service was OK. It's a cool place to hang out.

Came here on a random Saturday midday. Located inside "Dirty Bird". Cool spot with great ambiance. Ordered the garlic parmesan wings and nachos. Both were absolutely delicious. Nachos were unlike I've ever had. It had BBQ sauce which I'm not typically a fan of but this time it worked. Will definitely be back.

Love the space here and the atmosphere is so much fun. Music and drinks plus food!! The beef empanadas were so good I ordered more to go and share the goodness.The bathrooms r in the front while the kitchen is in the back on the right next to the bar. The table and decor in here is so unique and artistic. I've been wanting to check this spot out and still need to come back and try the coffee spot in front.The hours here are different so maybe call just in case but the weekends for sure they are open in the early evening to late night.

I love the vibe, the ease of ordering and the food was hella good. Went back the next day for happy hour!

I definitely do not recommend the food. Of course, I was not expecting a 5 star experience from bar food, but It all looks good, and was sloppy, overpriced, and bland. Half of my Carne Asada was cartilage and so drenched in sauce that the tortilla was soggy. There was a whole bunch of cilantro, and I love cilantro, but I pulld a bunch off with stems. Mind you, 3 tacos here is $15, and the taquaria a block up has much better tacos, and you can get 3 for about $9. The pizza was tasteless and had almost whole tomatoes on it with clumps of brown basil under the cheese. When ordering food, we waited while there were two people at the register. No one said hi or what can we get you. One person just said take her and still didn't say hi we just told them what we wanted. Not bad service by any means, just not the most friendly. The ambiance is nice and chill during day .

Experience on a Wednesday night: Friendly staff at the bar and kitchen, great selection of food and drink, regular customers who are kind to new comers, vibing background music and great ambiance. Have yet to stay for the karaoke that starts at 9pm but really hoping to one day!

Amazing service,,,The speed and dexterity of the workers... Both Bartenders and Security were Customer Service Friendly.I loved the ginger beer because I am in the AA. The Bacon Hamburger was delightful. Fries were cooked to Perfection!Awesome Job.
