We had family in tow and decided on Scotts. My review was based on my meal, which was Linguine and Clams, my girl order Alaskan Halibut and hers had way to many artichokes that it overpowered the rest of the food on the plate (including her food the review would be a 4).My Linguine and Clams were terrific, all the clam were fresh in the shell and the flavor of the sauce was great. It was more of a natural clam broth.Overall, it was an enjoyable meal.

Came here for a business meeting. We ordered the hot and cold sampler. I forgot to take pictures. They were very good and it had an assortment of appetizers. I ordered for my main entree the shrimp and risotto. My husband ordered the halibut. The associates we went with ordered paella, lobster and shrimp risotto.I was not impressed with the risotto. It was not the creamy flavor that I am used to. The shrimp was big. I did not each much of the food. The service was great. We were taken care of really well. I was a bit disappointed with my dish. The place looked small from the outside, but they have a big place to have large parties.

We had reservations for 5pm on a Friday. We arrived a few minutes early but were told we'd have to wait until our reservation time. Despite there being only one other couple in the entire restaurant. My food tasted of uncooked alcohol and I was unable to eat it. Except for the man at the reservation podium, the staff were attentive and made great recommendations. Our waiter was wonderful. Given that there's no parking downtown and feeling unwelcome I would feel uneasy recommending Scott's Seafood.

I visited this restaurant with a large group of about 40 people for dinner. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to extremely slow service. A basic meal consisting of just a salad, main course, and dessert stretched to 3.5 hours. The seating was also quite cramped, which added to our discomfort as the evening dragged on, leaving everyone feeling tired and frustrated by the end of the meal.

I went for their brunch buffet. I love the food but if you want your egg benedict to not be overcooked you have to get it when it's fresh from the kitchen. I was sad that my friend's egg was overcooked so I didn't get it. I did like the scrambled eggs and pancake. Other breakfast items were generic but I feel like I got my money's worth. It's classy place.

We went to Scott's Seafood to celebrate a birthday, and it was a fantastic experience! We started with the calamari, which was perfectly cooked, and the sea bass was absolutely delicious. The wine pairing complemented the dishes beautifully, adding an extra touch to the meal. To finish, we enjoyed the crème brûlée, which was the perfect sweet ending. The food, ambiance, and service were all top-notch, making it a memorable celebration. Highly recommend for anyone looking for amazing seafood and a great dining experience!

On a strip of Downtown, parking lot on weekends is $15Fish n chips: normal nothing crazy Cesar salad: no sauce at all, just salad and parmesan cheeseSalmon fettuccine: 9/10 not super creamy, mushroom with the salmon is perfect. Portion is goodEspresso martini: can't believe I'm saying this but it was sooo strong! Mule: good Custom order of Midori sour: extremely sweet, would recommend paring the drink with the a side of water for Chase

Seaing RedVenerable San José Institution that's been serving up some of the finest seafood in DTSJ for over thirty years. This is not the official location, as they were forced to move around three years ago from Park Ave to this current Paseo de San Antonio location. Personally, I kinda prefer this Paseo location over the old spot, but I know that rooftop seating is sorely missed. It's been a while since I've dined here, and we decided to give them a whirl for Valentine's Day, as they had a four-course menu for $95/per.The Good:*Service was fantastic, and the meal was paced out beautifully. They also handed out roses to all the ladies, which is a class move. *Reservations via OpenTable *Outdoor heated seating*Drinks were a bit on the pricier side, but they were delicious and packed a nice punch... 0_o*Complimentary bread was pretty good, but the seasoned garlic EVOO that came along with it was finger-lickin' good. *Both first courses were delicious with the seared ahi tuna melting in my mouth, and the mini crab cakes were an explosion of flavor. *Filet Mignon á la Oscar was cooked beautifully; the mashed potatoes were seasoned well; and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. The only complaint was the lump crab on top, which was flavorless and didn't seem to have much purpose other than fulfilling the namesake of the dish. *Lobster Risotto was delicious and cooked perfectly. The only complaint was the lobster was overcooked, just a touch, but once you mixed it in with the creamy Risotto, you didn't really notice it much. *Pistachio Crème Brûlée lived up to the hype with a nice subtle pistachio flavor with the creamy custard and crispy sugar topping that put it over the top. The Meh:*Lobster Bisque tasted more like a creamy pumpkin soup to me than a Lobster Bisque, but either way, it was still pretty tasty. *Molten Chocolate Cake was disappointing, as it was a bit dry, not very fudgey--or molten--and could've used some salt to brighten it up. *Pretty disappointing for a locally-owned spot like this to only have macrobrews on-tap and not feature any local beers from their neighbors just a few doors down .The Ugly:*Parking can always be a bit difficult in DTSJ--especially if you're not a regular patron--so do yourself a favor and plan accordingly. Conclusion: Great spot for a date night, anniversary, or just want to treat yourself to some good food in DTSJ.

3 stars because I expect to be pleased at Scotts and I wasn't. The service was good as expected, our seating up near the front door seemed tight. My paella was the small serving size and appeared to have come from under the broiler. I mention that because the clams on top were shrivelled into inedible bits. And, nothing should be inedible or unsightly. Oh, we will be back, but will avoid the paella and the salad of spring leaves that was difficult to eat due to the size and shape of the leaves.Do not expect, Bay Views and a piano bar or decent parking.
