OK pizza in Hayward, we were visiting my brother and wanted to reward the kids with lunch, they chose Hawaiian Pizza and I found Rayo's on Yelp. It was close and it was easy placing our order over the phone. When we got there, nobody was inside and nobody was at the cash register. They have a distinctly painted interior so we wandered around a bit having a look and trying to make some light noise and eventually someone came out from the kitchen to help us.They still needed another 10 minutes but we weren't in a rush and waited. Hawaiian Pizza: I always try to support independent place and this pizza was OK, I think I prefer some franchise variations of this but it was for the kids and I did see they had some more unique creations we would try next time like carne asada pizza.Fries and Chicken strips: fries were a bit pale and tasted OK, when they are this size and proportion they are very similar to McDonalds fries and it's hard not to compare them. Both were fine but seemed like they could have been bought frozen and in bulk. I do like how the chicken strips came with some vegetables.

Rayo's is 1 mile from my front door. Our neighborhood joint that's not a big chain. We order pizza or burgers from them about 3 or 4 times a month. The food is pretty good...and because it's so close, the food arrives hot or at least warm. Not today!Two smash burgers and fries arrived 55 minutes after we placed the order: COLD to the touch.Everything was really cold, so I got out my kitchen meat thermometer to check the temp. (internal temp of fries was 78°. Internal temp of meat was 85°.)It's one-mile away. It all tasted like "food from yesterday."The fries looked like half cooked dead worms. Literally...like it was cooked yesterday. That's it. I'm done with Rayo's. Grubhub wasn't the problem, I don't think....Their delivery guy sat near or at Rayo's for at least 20 minutes....we could see that on the App.

The Crane Asasa pizza here is my favorite pizza ever. I know it's a fusion dish, but it's such a unique concept. I wouldn't be surprised if one day, this pizza is recognized as a must try attraction for Bay Area foodies.

I love this pizza I believe it's family owned so I love supporting small businesses, it feels like it's family owned. It was looking for a pizza place and I'm so happy I found one I say they could work a little on being more happy at work when seeing clients but other than that I loved the pizza and I will definitely be going back!

Rayo's Pizza is known for their delicious pizza, but their smashed burger is an absolute must-try.The burger was cooked to perfection, it was juicy , and had a delightful crispy edge. It was packed with flavors and complemented by fresh toppings and soft, perfectly toasted buns. The fries were equally impressive--crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right.Their honey garlic wings were ok. I wasn't blown away by it. If you're in Hayward and looking for a place to eat, do yourself a favor and check out Rayo's Pizza. You won't be disappointed! I'm definitely coming back here whenever I'm craving a burger.

Gave them a try due to the high reviews and it was a big disappointment. Pizza tasted just a tad better than frozen pizza from the grocery store. Presentation as you can see was below average. I hope it was a bad night for them. I won't be back for their pizza with what I paid.

Hubby saw a video about this place I believe in IG and we have been meaning to try for a while. We had craving for pizza this night and actually originally planned to go on Monday but they are closed Mondays. We ordered via Uber eats and decided on the carne asada pizza and smash burger. Smash burger comes with fries and was very tasty. Not the best burger I have had but very good. The star of the show was definitely the pizza and the reason we choose to order from this place. Medium pizza is a decent size and comes with limes and radishes on the side. The flavor is out of this world. Very interesting that they made a Mexican style pizza with marinara sauce but it works. The carne is super flavorful, the cilantro adds a great layer of flavor and freshness and the onions tie it all together. If it wasn't for my stomach telling me I was full, I would have easily finished the box lol. Definitely worth trying and knowing they have other flavors you can choose from tells me I will be back again.

This place is the TRUTH when it comes to pizza. The dough & crust, the sauces, the toppings all make it very clear when you have their pizza - these guys take pizza seriously. No amateur hour here. No mass produced corporate chain pizza business. The carne asada pizza. The hamburger pizza, they have some epic pizzas on the menu. And when you order a large or XL, it's an actual L or XL (looking at you, round table with your shrinkflation). Basically a MEDIUM at this place is the "large" at many of the corporate chain pizza businesses. UPDATE after trying several more times: The smash burger is fire too. The ingredients and toppings are always fresh. The toppings are generously placed on the pizza. This place and my other place I love (bronco billys union city) are among the very few pizza joints around where you actually get what you pay for.Halal options as well. Can't go wrong with Rayos.
