Yum,So excited to finally have tried a fresh arepa! It was delicious, cheesy, and was perfectly paired with the accompanying sauce, butter and crispy chicken. I'm also excited that Colombian food is adding to the diversity of our food scene. The restaurant gives tropical Colombian vacation vibes, so inviting and the perfect place for a lunch date...I'm coming back for the cocktail menu on the weekend. My mocktail during lunch was absolutely divine

Just an outstanding dining experience. The place was very busy the night we were there. Fortunately we had made reservations. Although there was music in addition to many people talking were had no difficulty hearing each other at the table. The decor is fabulous, with lots of plants, baskets, and art. But the main event is the food. We shared a few small plates - ceviche, plantains with three dips, and chiccarones - followed by braised short rib with mashed yuca. Everything was intensely flavorful and perfectly cooked. The cocktails run mostly to mezcal, tequila, and rum, but we both ordered pisco sours, which were on point. There are also a lot of non-alcoholic drinks on offer that looked really good. Service was prompt and friendly with excellent descriptions of unfamiliar ingredients. Parche is such a great example of the best of Oakland. In addition to the food and decor, the diversity of the customers and staff made it a joyful downtown experience, just what the Town should be.

Overall, vibes were great. We came here just for a snack, so the full 5 stars are also somewhat due to the extremely enthusiastic couple we met at the bar next to us. But the brussel sprouts were bomb, apparently the chicken empanadas were dope, and the cocktails were fun and flirty. Also, full gluten free kitchen makes it a great place to go with gluten free friends,

Cocktails were delicious. Everything we ate was amazing. Empanadas, a ceviche type dish, short ribs and a dessert I can't explain. Highly recommend coming with a group and trying a lot of things. The entire menu is GF.

What a great find - a Colombian resto is not easy to come by and for us quick travel for good food is a no brainer. Everything was amazing from drinks (sangria) to starters and mains. Loved the ceviche, pork belly, chicken with pancake like. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. Tables in the middle and against the wall are close to each other and noise level could get higher, so be aware. Otherwise, a nice dining experience.

Parche has been on my to-try list for quite some time now and I'm so glad I was finally able to go because it was amazing. I've personally not had much Colombian food so I can't speak to authenticity - but the food itself was great. The staff were also so friendly and helpful with their recommendations. For starters, we got the empanadas and Santa Marta ceviche. While the empanadas were good, the ceviche was our favorite. The blend of oils, aiolis, and fresh salmon were just simply delicious. For mains, we were torn between the Posta Negra and Pesca Samaria. We opted for the Posta Negra per our waitress' recommendation, and it was fantastic. The braised short rib was super tender and the sauce was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet by the Mexican Coke. The yuca-coconut mash had a mochi-like texture and had the perfect salty-sweet ratio. All so delicious!I can't wait to come back and try some of their other dishes!

A real hidden gem in Oakland. Oakland has so much delicious food and Parche really adds to it. It's a very elegant and sophisticated place for a take on modern Colombian food. Come hungry because you will want to try everything!Their cocktails are beautifully crafted. As far as the dishes go, we went with the brussel sprouts, the empanadas and their ribeye. Their brussel sprouts is a must and so is the ribeye. Brussel sprouts were different because they had a nice sweet taste to it. The ribeye was tender the butter served on the side gave it a new touch. The empanadas definitely could have had more filling inside. But the sauce added kick which was nice. The whole dining experience here was memorable!

The food offered a unique and authentic fusion of Colombian flavors, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. Every team member went above and beyond, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere that was nothing short of spectacular. El Parche is a place that will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Visited with friends for brunch on Saturday after it was recommended for its gluten free kitchen and I was not disappointed. The decor is really fun and the staff are incredible pleasant. We had a reservation but at noon there were plenty of available tables. That said when we left just after 1:30 it was getting quite packed. The food was AMAZING. I loved everything but highly recommend the empanadas, arepa de chocolo, ceviche, and patacones. I will absolutely visit again!
