Paik's Noodle

Really great place to come for black bean noodles! I came here for a group of 4 and we definitely over ordered. Their portions are super huge.We got a spicy stir fried jajang (typically for 1-2 people), chow mein, jam pong, and sweet sour fried pork.My favorite which I was really surprised by was the sweet and spicy pork! I like that the sauce came on the side so the pork stayed crispy and the pork was so juicy inside:My group has different favorites for the noodles so I'd say to go with what you're feeling.Stir fried spicy black bean noodles have heavier flavors and pack a punch! Some people say that it's a bit much after while but I personally really enjoyed it.Spicy seafood soup noodles were another favorite, the soup was spicy and hot and there was lots of seafood in it. Chowmein was a more mild garlicky flavor with lots of vegetables. This was my least favorite but good as something with simpler flavors.

I wish I could give this place a better review, but unfortunately, our experience was awful. We dined here recently, and later that day, some of us became extremely sick with what was clearly food poisoning.The food seemed fine at first, but something was definitely off. Whether it was improper food handling, spoiled ingredients, or cross-contamination, we're not sure--but the end result was a miserable night of stomach pain, nausea, and everything else that comes with food poisoning.I highly recommend the management take food safety more seriously. Until they do, we won't be coming back and would warn others to be cautious before dining here.

Honest Review: 3.5starsMy fam and I occasionally at least try to every other month swing by to have some yummy comfort food that is super quick with little wait time for food!We always order the 8x fried dumplings and sweet and sour pork for appetizers then the jajangmyeon whether it is the noodles or the one with the fried egg over rice since it is their signature dish for entrees! My daughter loves it and sometimes order the Beef Jjamppong to get a different variety, pretty good as well!The reason for the 3.5star review is due to the fact that there's inconsistency with how the food is prepared; sometimes it can be very delicious where the jajangmyeon sauce is made lightly sweet with more bite size pieces of pork and the fried dumplings/sweet and sour pork is a nice golden brown crisp. Other times, the jajangmyeon sauce is very salty with little to no pork pieces plus the appetizers were deep fried much longer than expected making it very difficult to bite into and digest LOL.Also for whatever reason, the business hours can't be too trusted since on some occasions while around the vicinity, the place was closed so make sure to just give a little call so that someone answers the phone to let you know their business hours for the day; a for sure WIN-WIN strategy! Give this place a try and hope that they deliver cuz you might not be craving jajangmyeon everyday but that taste will be lingering in the back of your mind until you cave in and be like "I NEED SOME NOW" LOL since other places try too hard to make them and use generic commercial sauces possibly from the supermarket not homemade!

Such wonderful customer service, yummy food, and great portions! Our favorite is the black bean noodles - chewy noodles with such a delicious savory black bean sauce!

After watching Culinary Class Wars I had to come check out Paik's Noodle. Paik was one of the judges and known as the "Gordon Ramsey of South Korea". This is casual comfort food and on a cold winter day the food was truly comforting to my soul. The jjajamyeon did not disappoint. The sauce is served on top and after a thorough mixing the noodles soaked up the sauce nicely. The jjamppong was seasoned with the right amount of spice for me. The Tangsuyuk (sweet & sour pork) came out with the sauce on the side. The pork was fried perfectly and ready to dip in the tangy sauce. The consistency is thick and gooey so I prefer the dipping it. The vibe was casual and service was friendly and efficient. What surprised me was the price... hard to find a meal under $20 these days.

Fast and easy ordering. I had ordered the black bean noodle and the sweet and sour pork. The black bean noodles were nice and flavorful. The sweet and sour pork was a surprise, it was not too overly greasy and the sauce was chock full of vegetables. Definitely a great place for simple meal.

Paik's noodle has big portions and tasty jjajangmyeon and pork. I shared one bowl of jjajangmyeon with my friend and it was enough to fill the both of us. The service is always fast and we get our food 5 minutes after ordering. It is usually busy so sometimes there is a bit of wait, but it is totally worth it!

This is just for take out review. Love paiks noodles. So glad there's one in Dublin compare to Santa Clara since the drive is closer. If you haven't tried Paik's the Jajangmyeon is such a wonderful dish. Just know it can get all over the place so make sure you wear cloths you don't mind getting stains on or that you will have it all around your mouth. Ordering it to go doesn't really change the quality of it compare to eating in the restaurant, but the noodles when you order it together will end up sticking together in the container so it will take some effort to spread it and mix it with the sauce. Don't forget to ask for vinegar on the side.

This was a great choice for a fast casual meal with friends. The star was the Jajangmyeon, kind of sad that I shared with friends. That just means I have to go back for more. We also shared an order of the sweet and sour pork and fried dumplings.

Never tried Paik's noodle so decided to give it a try. We got Jajangmeyon and sweet and sour pork to-go.They were not my taste but hubby thought they were ok. I don't think I will try again.
