Great restaurant, food, and service. I like that they offer many other dishes besides the beef to cook at your table. This enabled me to get my younger daughter ramen yet still let her try some of the cooked beef, which it turned out she liked. I recommend getting the beef sampler, as it has a good variety of meat. We enjoyed them all, and could not pick a favorite. The clay pot rice beef is good, but it is smoky. If you don't like smoky, do not get it. They have a nice dessert menu but on the day we were there, the dessert had not been delivered yet so we could not order it. Look forward to coming back and trying dessert next time.

The aftermath of our table clearly showed how we loved the food here. We enjoyed the experience of grilling the meat and the sushirolls were excellent. Mia, our food server, was amazing. She made us feel comfortable and made sure we got everything we needed. The ambiance was relaxing and cozy. We are definitely going back to try the other items in the menu. Our anniversary became more special because of this experience. Thanks for the free mochi!

We were going to eat at Kibo in San Ramon tonight, drove there and found out that they're closed on Mondays. So we decided to go to a sushi restaurant that our friends recommended even though it's further from us.we were pleasantly surprised because we got parking in the front, and the staff was really nice. We were totally in love with the salmon, skin, Hand rolls and the raw oysters. As for the rolls, from our most favorite least favorite it's in this order: Tokyo roll, Hamachi roll, cowboy roll. The fried squid was pretty good, and since my toddler liked it. Most likely we'll be ordering that again. He also really love that the columns look like lava on the walls. I think my man was happy that there were lots of TVs everywhere.

Came here for a lunch meal and it did not disappoint! We got to try a wagyu set that came with short ribs and ordered another ala carte of Japanese a5 wagyu, which was delicious! This place uses an iron grill for all your meats and they provide you with a fat for applying oil onto it before cooking. Omakase pieces were pretty big and it was delicious as well. But I'd probably skip this next time and just fill our stomachs with the delicious melt-in-our-mouth meats! The place had plenty of seatings and we did not have to wait to be seated, but we did come on a weekday. They ask you if you'd like a grill or not upon arrival. Service was super attentive and we felt our server provided adequate information on the menu. The environment was comfortable, clean, and spacious. Overall, we'd come here again! We cannot wait to get the bigger meat sets!

Came here for a group lunch one day and it was not crowded for lunch time on a Friday. The staff was friendly to accommodate our large group. They have a normal menu but the best price is the lunch menu. I opted for a meat combo and it was fun being able to grill the meats and chat with coworkers. The meat was fresh and good quality. The restaurant itself is very big and has a large capacity. It was very clean and the staff made sure to tidy up.

Shoutout to Joseph for being an awesome server!Had a late valentines day date today and we wanted to try this place out for the first time. We ordered the 7oz wagyu combo, fried calamari, truffle roll, and salmon nigiri platter, hot tea, and the pistachio for dessert. We also got complimentary banchans with our meal! Ive never ate on a stone grill before and the experience was pretty cool. They give you meat fat to oil up the grill. We loved everything we ordered! The meats were super tender and flavorful, both the nigiri and the truffle roll were great! My favorite was the wagyu toro and the truffle roll. The calamari was a generous portion and delicious paired with sweet chili sauce! I am also a huge fan of genmaicha and I thought the tea was sooo good!Joseph was very attentive and explained everything pretty well. He refilled our banchans and tea and was really good about bussing our table! He also recommended the dessert we ordered (pistachio tartufo) which was also really yummy! The overall vibe of this place was really nice, cozy and upscale. Even the to go bags are super fancy! Definitely a great place for a date! We both really enjoyed eating here, especially if you can't decide on bbq or sushi, you can get both here (and more!!)

Party of five we got a nice spacious booth, which was good cause we ended up ordering way too much food! Nikuya meats are pretty good the wagyu was pricey but expected. My boys like the cheaper fatty cuts, tho. We also got sushi combo and the sushi was fresh. The presentation is fun with dry ice. Great for groups. Our waitress was nice but it was hard to hear her cause it's a bit noisy on a Saturday night.

I love the ambiance of this place! It is warm and welcoming. The lights by the bathroom hallway are like jellyfishes!Came here for lunch with co-workers. Food was great and just the right amount. I tried the steak teriyaki and the garlic parmesan noodles. Right amount of serving. We will come back and try the hot stone options.

Nikuya Stone Grill takes over from China Lounge in the Pleasanton Rose Pavilion. The restaurant is trendy, and upon entering you have the option of grill-your-own meat or traditional sit-down with Japanese cuisine such as bento boxes, sushi, and ramen. Its also a place you can splurge, since they have a wide range of imported high-end beef, including A5 grade Wagyu. We just had a traditional Japanese lunch:Wife had the Black Garlic Ramen which was excellent. Intense, garlicky broth, chewy noodles, and generous helping of pork.I got the Omakase sushi which is pricy at about $50 for 10 pieces of premium Nigiri. Rice was loosely packed and vinegary, and the toppings were super fresh. We shard the Chicken Teriyaki Bento box with our 4yo son. It comes with some nice sides like gyoza, Cali Rolls, and melons. However, the chicken was on the dry side. For appetizer, the grilled squid is a nice one to share. It was hilarious watching my son help himself to the tentacles only to give up after a few chews. The restaurant does have a bit of a nightclub, lounge feel and has a large bar with TVs. Despite its somewhat remote location, its definitely worth trying especially in a group. Have to come back at least once for that A5!
