New York Pizza & Kabob

Love this spot ! Halal pizza and UC! The folks here are so welcoming and the pizza pies are the best in the area. Lots of options ! Must check out if you're in the BAY AREA

The pizza is just really bad. I used to love coming here years ago but something changed with the pizza. I come back every once in a while hoping they'll make it how they used to but I get disappointed every-time. This last time, my husband wanted pizza before we cut out these types of food completely and I spent over $60 on two pizzas just for there to be ZERO marinara sauce on the pizza, barely any cheese. It's more like flatbread with pepperoni and veggies held together with a thin layer of cheese. I wanted to support this business because it's one of the halal pizza spots but there's better out there for sure.

I wanted to try a pizza place other than the typical chain pizza places (Pizza Hut, Dominoes, or Papa Johns). I had called a food order in. It took several rings for the person to answer the phone. The person who answered was very rude and disrespectful (as if customer service was not a thing). The entire discussion on the phone seemed rushed. I had ordered a pizza and wings. I forgot to ask to add soda to the order as well, so I called back. I asked what soda they had and the person said, "I don't know, you'll have to go and check". I thought OK, whatever. So, I went to pick up the order and the pizza was ready but the wings were finishing up. I looked over at the drinks cooler and the stock was very limited (some Coke cans and maybe some other items). The cooler was practically empty. I asked one of the workers if they had any other soda and they didn't. I then asked about the person who answered the phone but the worker I was dealing with didn't have a clue who I was referring to. I paid for my food and left. Now for the food... The pizza was OK but nothing spectacular. The wings were way overcooked and were really bad. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Wow! My husband came back last time raving about this new pizza place he tried, so I had to try it when I came out to Union City! The pizza was HUGE - they have a bigger XL than the ones I have seen before( as I saw guys trying to carry these huge boxes out and maneuver out the door!) and the large was pretty good sized!Our pizza came out piping HOT that we had to wait a bit to let it cool down just a bit, but it was like we couldn't wait since it smelled so delicious! We had the Afghani pizza with half with ground beef and the other half we added pineapple and tandoori chicken. I liked the ground beef side better. The crust was so crispy and it is a thinner pizza which normally I don't like thin, but this was great! It is a bit thicker than your usual thin pizzas at the chains which is better because it is not like eating a cracker like at Mod Pizza. So perfect thinness with enough substance to hold the toppings.Lots of flavor and spicy which I like. It is halal and they even have halal beef pepperoni I'm told. So I think this is better than Mountain Mikes and Round Table and definitely much better than Dominoes, Little Caesar's or Costco! The price point for this pizza is excellent at 21.00 ( compared to spending 60. plus at Mountain Mikes the other day for one pizza, fries and one wings side! Way too much money for just that!). So reasonable price point here and honestly, THIS pizza was MUCH better ( and I normally like Mountain Mikes, but this will be my new go-to!). But note it was not as crisp later on for leftovers and the crust got soft ( Mountain Mikes leftovers hold up better crust wise) so delivery may be the same. Eating there is best with it coming out fresh from the oven!The staff was very attentive and friendly despite being busy! I can't wait to visit again and try their Afghani food! They had Bolani, eggplant dip and traditional entrees as well. If their pizza was so good, I can imagine the rest of their food! Yummy!

Not a new york style pizza. The crust is way too thick and way too soft , has no crispness. Seems more like pizza hut than a new york pizza. I'm looking for a new york pizza, like slice house in san leandro for example (which is too far from me or else I would order from there) . I will not order from here again. Nothing wrong with the food per say.... my experience was similar to ordering a Carne asada super burrito from a taqueria but instead you get a taco bell style ground beef burrito. The way the pizza was sliced was amateur, the slices were too small. The slice size needs to be big enough so that every slice has toppings on it. This isn't a child's party pizza place, is it ? Slice the pizza like an adult or add a more toppings - you are a professional pizza place claiming new york style pizza. What a travesty, the state of New York should sue them for for claiming NY pizza

This is the best pizza so far that I had around Union City. If I'd compare it to big names of pizza, I'd rather pick this one lol. I'll try the Afghani pizza next time. Fast Service!

Best halal pizza in the Bay Area! Great people too. I've tried almost all their pizzas on the menu and they're all 10/10!

Consistent pizza place in Union City. Their prices are a great deal. We usually get the large chicken Afghani pizza for about $25. Fresh ingredients and juicy chicken toppings. They do have other entrees like kabobs, but never tried them.

Pizza is spot on! One slice can fill you up which they cut up in 4s. Since I had pepperoni, the amounts of it was good but more cheese made it better to where the pizza just melts as you bite. I did have one of the kabob plates and that was just ok. There was good flavor but the rice itself was too oily and the salad looked to be days old. Since it was my first time, I'll still go back to try out the bolani.

Overcooked our pizza, had no idea what toppings I was crunching on (apparently it was half combo half Afghan pizza) - who knew! Cheese on top of toppings is what I like but... no cheese under the toppings?? And the crust tasted like cardboard, literally. Really wanted to like this place!
