New Kim Lee Fast Food

Worst!! Cheater, shady butcher!! Still can't get out of this experience. Today I was waiting in line to buy their honey Bbq pork since it is on sale for $ 11.88 per pound. When it was my turn, I told the butcher I wanted the whole piece of Bbq pork. He put in the plastic container and weighted. The pork was weighted over closed to two pounds and the meat was full n tight into the container as the whole pierce was huge. However, when time to cut, he cut into half to slice into smaller pieces but he left the other half. How did I know? Because he cut only once and didn't chop another piece. It was suspicious because the sliced pork noted to be vey little , didn't match what was weighed and the price I paid. I didn't say anything but left n tried to get it out my system.Never again to step into this shady place. I lost my appetite and gave to my dog instead . Was it because I didn't speak their language for them to pick on me?

This time, I tried their combo lunch, 2 items, Beef Chow Fun with Double Bitter Melon with Beef. As you can see in the photo, they give you lots of Chow Fun and they didn't skimmed on the beef either. I also got a spring roll, always fresh. The beef was tender with good flavor.The service is still good and prices is very reasonable!!

They sell whole roasted pig! Make sure to put your order in at least 2 days advance. They also sell party trays here.

Not bad for fast food dim sum. The skins on the dumplings were chewy and sticky. I think we had a group of 6-7 people and each person paid $10. Good price. We had a potluck at work so we ordered these. My coworker said the owner is also the owner of ocean supermarket.

Do not buy roasted pork here!The first time we bought roasted pork from here, we discovered when we got home that it was very dry and chewy, as if it had been left over from the previous day and reheated. A majority of the meat was burnt. We ended up throwing everything away; it was a big waste of money.

New Kim Lee Fast Food has recently reopened, having closed for several years. only a few tables for inside dining. food is in bamboo baskets, cooked food on steam table. though the food sold is Chinese, most patrons are Vietnamese speakers. no decor except for posted menu. quick service. offerings: stir fried entrees, fried entrees by weight, dim sum, bbq soon.chè, shrimp rolls on counter shelf. eats: che (3)-has a mixture of white colored pudding like dessert with condensed milk & roasted chestnut pieces. -tasted authentic, Viet dessert places charges more. very tasty...take outs:-passed on food since it had to travel an half hour, unknown how the food will fare. -lots of parking in lot.

I've been here twice. and the food is really good. and they have Dimsum . I have tried the beef chow fun, General Chicken and Sweet and sour pork. all was deliciousthe second time i tried the bbq pork fried rice with Mongolian beef and lemon chicken. really really good. and sui mai was awesome too.they do charge a little more for credit card. and the 2 item plate is like $14. and the dim sum is $5. so it it costly. but you get a lot on the plate. It serves 2 lunches for me!

I used to come to this place almost every week. Then, all of a sudden, they closed down and didn't reopen for yrs until this monthThe business is as busy as before. Never lost their customers. I always thought it was extension to ocean market. Thus, their ocean market customers would still visit. Just like every single ranch 99Anyways, I always like their dimsum. It is still pretty good. The combo plates are ok. It's sort of caters to non asians. I eat this American Chinese food sometimes. The 2 items was $12 and the 3 dimsum orders total 15. $5 an order. Total was $27Just fyi. Cash only if under $25I will be coming back for the dimsum and can't wait for the BBQ. I was getting my roast duck roast pork here before ad well...

Remember the old KimLee? The PTSD from trying to order bbq from the chaotic "line", the chef expertly chopping your char siu on that big wooden round, ordering a pound, but ending up with 1.25lbs...On this day, there was no line to battle, the chef was a guy in street clothes, carefully slicing my char siu and I got a little more than the pound I ordered.That works for me. Ok char siu, ok pork buns- Welcome back Kim Lee!

I had a craving for shrimp dumplings and since I was close by, I decided to drop by and take a look. I ended up getting 2 orders of shrimp dumplings and 2 orders of shumai. I'm not really a fan of shumai but after trying both items, I preferred it more than the shrimp dumplings. Both items were on the bland side but the shumai was slightly more tastier. The pork was juicy and as I kept chewing, I can definitely taste the pork fat and how bouncy the meat was. As for the shrimp dumplings, the wrapper kept breaking apart and shrimp lacked flavor.
