I have only ordered from this restaurant through DoorDash, however I really like their bun cha ca because they also include crab cake in addition to the traditional fish cake found in this dish. I would order from this restaurant again to try their other Vietnamese noodle soups.

Many of the items we wanted to order were out of stock, which was a bit disappointing as they have been in business for a while... However, the waitress informed us that everything would be back in stock next week. We ended up ordering what was available. The food was decent, though nothing particularly memorable for me. That said, my partner and parents seemed to enjoy their meals. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, which was flavorful, but I was surprised to see multiple versions of it on the menu. I've always known Bun Bo Hue to be served a certain way, so the variations here caught me off guard. The ambiance was what I expected from an authentic Vietnamese spot--there was a bit of clutter in the corner, giving it a somewhat casual, lived-in feel. Overall, it didn't stand out too much in terms of atmosphere. On a positive note, the service was friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. They were also playing Taylor Swift music during our visit, which added a nice touch for me personally.

This restaurant is big and can seat a big group! I came with couple of friends to try this restaurant that was recommended by another Vietnamese friend. We loved the food. Service was also good.

Come here for their banh ram it, banh beo, and bun bo hue! Nam Giao is known for their Hue-style food, so you definitely can't go wrong with these options.Nam Giao has become a new fav spot for my family and I to visit recently; their restaurant is huge so we're typically met with no wait times (+ideal for large groups!), and food comes out quickly. Each time we've visited, the employees were pretty nice and friendly. The only downside-ish is that their prices are pretty high imo, for the San Jose area.+ Banh Ram It (5/5): This is essentially a glutinous rice dumpling filled with shrimp/pork, placed on top of a crispy rice cake. This place is honestly the best I've had the dish, and we get it every time we visit!+ Banh Beo (4/5): Def tastes good, but just soooo expensive for what it is. These are steamed rice cakes topped off with ground shrimp + a fried chicharron, which you top off with fish sauce. It comes with about 8 pieces per order!+ Bun Bo Hue (4/5): HUGE portion! The noodles are good and they're pretty generous with the meats. I usually get their "special" that comes with a mix of everything; soups are super rich in flavor and this can definitely be shared between two!

I went here twice, and tried the Banh beo, Mi Quang, and Bun Cha Cua. I would recommend the Banh Beo, as there were 8 pieces and delicious. The mi quang and bun cha cua were decent, but I probably wouldn't get it again here. They also have a tray of sauces and they were pretty good.Service was decent. It's located in a plaza so plenty of parking.I would rate it a 3.75/5, rounding up to a 4/5.

Maybe I ordered wrong or maybe they had an off day, but I didn't enjoy the items I got.The $6 watermelon juice was sour. I get that the flavor depends on the fruit, but if they know they got a non-sweet batch, they should have told me.I got the Mi Quang for my meal and although I enjoyed the broth, noodles and fish cake, the overall dish was very disappointing. It was supposed to come with fresh shrimp, but the shrimp in my dish were definitely dried (even the broth couldn't soften the hard, chewy texture). The pork rib was very tough. The sesame cracker was stale. The advertised pork skin was nowhere to be found.Lastly, our appetizer came out after our entree and contained a hair. Needless to say I was done at this point.I wish I would have read the reviews before, as I do not like smoking. The smell is definitely very strong,The people working there were nice, but I don't think I'll be back.

My family was looking for a restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday and my mom decided to pick Nam Giao restaurant. The restaurant serves a lot of central Vietnamese food and we picked a variety of noodle soups and Hue dumplings. We ordered the banh beo aka steamed rice cakes topped with shrimp and pork skin crackling and banh ram it aka Hue dumpling atop a crispy rice cracker. I love it when the banh beo is topped off with real shrimp instead of dried shrimp. It just makes it so much better. The banh ram it was lovely and the fried rice cracker was crispy. My family ordered the mi quang and bun bo hur and they enjoyed their noodle soups. I ordered the Vietnamese udon AKA banh canh and it's different from other ones I've had before. This one has a lighter broth and I believe the noodles are made with rice instead of tapioca. It's really good and I had some left over. When I ate it the next day, the noodles were not soggy at all. I also ordered the watermelon juice but I would pass on this next time. For some strange reason, the watermelon juice was strangely separating. There was also no ice, so the watermelon juice was quite warm. The restaurant has a lot of seating and the staff members were friendly. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would come back to try the other items.

Came here on a Monday evening and I was excited to eat here with my mom. However, when we tried to order, more than half the menu was not available yet, the owner mentioned that the menu was new and that they added a lot of things that they were not serving yet.. ok. We ordered the banh beo which was pretty yummy, minus a little hair I plucked out of one of them. My mom and I ordered the same thing, bun cha ca, but it was horrible. It looked fire, but it didn't taste good... that being said, we probably only ate 25% of it and left the rest . Disappointing... probably won't be back.
