I ordered 50 drinks for my wedding for a cocktail hour on January 11th 2025! We picked them up a day before, so then we can set them out easier the day of. All of my guests, including me and my husband drank them all. The guests couldn't stop talking about how good the Mochinut drinks were. Thank you Mochinut! (Sorry I don't have pics)

Good enough! Mochinut San Leandro is convenient for me, especially when I'm craving a Korean corn dog but don't want to drive out to the farther places that are dedicated to it.The plaza that the shop is in can get pretty busy so sometimes you might have to drive around a bit to find parking. The spaces are also tight so if you have a bigger car or prefer more room, I'd recommend parking on the street or in one of the other nearby lots and walking. The shop itself is quite small with very limited seating room. It looks like folks go there mostly for takeout anyways. You can order at the register but the easiest way is to order with their kiosk. From there, they prepare your order pretty quickly. The corn dogs are good, not my favorite. I usually go for the potato half and half. I appreciate all the condiments they have available. They have a lot of sauces and offerings that I don't typically see at other corn dog places.I've had the mochi donuts here before too and they're solid. Nothing too different than other mochi donut places.I haven't tried the drinks just yet but they've got a wide variety of offerings from coffee to milk tea to refreshers/lemonades. Something for everyone!

Had the sweet corn mozzarella Korean ricedog and a peach tea. They said it was one of the less sweet drinks - they're premade and can't be customized to take down the sweet - but still too sweet for me. Halfway through I had to stop drinking. Also it's packaged in semi-hard plastic and has a metallic top so probably unrecyclable. Won't get again. The sweet corn mozzarella tho, def worth it. Was explained as a cross between elote and Korean hotdog. Rec eating in so you can enjoy max cheese pull and crisp coating with corn bits embedded. I felt like it needed some spice and used the habanero mango - it's not spicy but added a little tang which was good. Would get again. One thing about their donuts. Wanted to order them before but they don't open until 11am so not really conducive for morning group donut orders.

Perhaps it's my age, but I no longer enjoy these types of eateries. When I ask about the oil used for cooking, it's time to move on. I learned that Korean rice dogs are cooked in vegetable oil, while the donuts use shortening vegetable oil. I was impressed by the efficient ordering process via the kiosk. I ordered a churro donut and fried mozzarella rice dog. My previous visit was earlier in the day, and the donut was fresh. Today's donut was chewy, and I also ordered the mozzarella corn dog, which was made to order. To return, I would need to order earlier in the day for a fresh donut. Actually, I think I have just outgrown this caliber of restaurants. I say try for yourself. PS the package reminds me of a coffin. Death by deep fried rice dogs.

A little sweet & savory treat all in one place is definitely a win-win situation for me.Despite the small space, Mochinut makes a big statement when it comes to their Mochi Donuts & K-Dogs.This location is really meant for To Go orders since there is limited seating.Orders:Hot Cheetos K-Dog- surprised at the great Cheeto flavor. The cheese pull was the highlight of eating it. I usually go for simply items, but this is my new favorite K-Dog.MochiNuts(not pictured):GuavaRaspberryCoffee*Free Mochiball with Pumpkin Whipped CreamEach Mochinut was fresh, chewy to the bite & nicely glazed. My favorite would be the coffee. As a bonus I was able to try a Mochiball with Pumpkin whipped cream inside, bc it was their 1st year anniversary!Every bit as good as the donuts, just more compact in size. But I enjoy pulling apart each section of the Mochinut more. Happy 1 Year Anniversary Mochinut!

I was so excited when Mochinut opened up in San Leandro as I've been wanting to try those Korean dogs. The first time we got one Hot Cheetos and one potato dog half and half. The Hot Cheetos wasn't anything special but I really enjoyed the cheese side of the potato one which was still crispy after bringing it home. The next time, I got a potato cheese and a fish cake. This time the potato seemed quite oily and hard to finish by myself. When I asked if it's possible to get the Thai Ice Tea with no ice since I wanted to drink it the next day to avoid caffeine too late, they said it's already premade and pre-canned. Strange that the ice wouldn't have melted if it's precanned. That means none of their drinks offered has boba either since you can't customize which is not a big deal since I didn't want boba but for those expecting it because it's available in other locations, they'd be disappointed. The last time, I got the ube drink since I didn't want caffeine and tried their donut. I still prefer Modo because they're made to order and are therefore hot but I did enjoy the ube drink.

Well it was last month. They are very different. In a good way, and wow the texture, is what got me. And they are not over sweet, with the flavors they have. So you get to pick. A bit costly, but good if you want a change. And no, you only get 3. The casher was very friendly, the place clean. With a small area to sit and eat. Yes they have some finger foods, I have not tried them. I have been here twice now, and will be back.

05.06.2023 - Dessert round two. After dinner and our first round dessert, mochinut was next on the list. Settled in the Pelton Shopping Center next to I-Tea. A small sitting area with tables along the wall. It gets pretty crowded after about 8 people inside. Different bottles of sauces/toppings are set on the table to self-serve when ordering their Korean-style hot dogs. Koreans love putting sugar on everything so it was nice knowing that everything comes plain so we can season it to our preference.Never was a fan of mochi donuts. Texture is weird and it tastes oily. Plus, the freshness only lasts several hours.Husband likes their hot dogs. I didn't try so I can't really review it.I tried their shine muscat soda that costs about $8 w/tax. Was it worth it? No. Soda was flat. The ice watered down the shine muscat flavor. Overall, very underwhelming. For that price, I'd rather invest in the shine muscat grapes itself for $40 from SJ Korean market.Service was a bit on the cheap side. When asked to separate one of the hot dogs, they seemed pretty stingy as they were not willing to give us another single-sized box. This forced my sister to carry her hot dog while driving all the way to Oakland. All-in-all, I can see why it's popular, but personally, nothing really appealed for me to return. Thanks for my first experience, MochiNut.
