Loving Hut

amazing vegan food. my family loves everything we've tried here, especially the cha cha shrimp (our fav). we also like ordering the gourmet fried rice. we typically order our food to go and it usually takes around 15 mins for our food to be ready which isn't bad at all on my opinion. the one time we did eat at the restaurant, the service was quick and the workers were kind. the inside has a lot of seating. i personally think that this is an amazing restaurant to eat good quality vegan food whether you're vegan or not!

Wow the menu has changed so much over the years and it has become outrageously expensive to eat here. I guess the love affair with Loving Hut is over.

The food was good and a decent price but oh man it's so slow!!! We ordered two dishes (spring rolls and curry) and it took over 25 min and there weren't many people ahead of us either. I think the young employee was just really slow. She also took a long time to slowly bag someone's order (3 minutes lmao) and give someone else a cup of water lol. I've never seen an employee so slow!!! I'm usually not this impatient but I think they need to train their employees better.

Located inside the mall, right outside Target. The service was great. I had to stop by Target during my lunch so I called to place an order for pickup. I ordered the Rainbow Salad. It was ready w/in 15 minutes. The cabbage was crisp, the vinaigrette added a bit of acidity to this filling and delicious salad. The tofu was airy and springy. I do not know how many calories is in this salad, but not eating meat helped reduce waste and energy. The science class that I'm currently taking has messed me up because it opened up a new realm of thinking.I am not vegetarian or vegan, but Gavin and I try our best to not eat meat at least once a week. They offer a variety here so you cannot go wrong w/ Loving Hut. You want something fried? You want soup? You want rice? You want noodles? You want desserts? They have it all!

Ambiance: Nice casual atmosphere.Service: Friendly & fast service.Food : Good vegan food. Tons of options on the menu. Definitely recommend for a nice vegetarian/vegan meal.

I was tromping around the mall a few days ago, waiting for my apple appointment (not the produce, the IOS kind, for clarification ) when I had an overwhelming desire to soupersize my day. First of all, if you are a proper fan of this style of soup you already know how delicious it was just based on that picture. It was double tied and piping hot when I finally arrived home. I ordered it with no noodles, extra veggies and a few packets of soy sauce. The imitation bouf, york and rimp were so i tasty and lean with very generous portions! 1/3 of that container at least. Food after the mall is always so gratifying that I decided to subject myself to another outing today and see if I had romanticized the whole meal.I didn't! Bonus! It's right by the exit so you can call ahead while you're walking over and make a quick getaway. P.s. those aren't actually what they call the protein but I would really appreciate if we could make that a thing

I was introduced to Loving Hut a year ago due to my gluten-free diet and quickly became a frequent and happy customer. The food is surprisingly healthy, with flavorful vegan options and organic tofu that feels fresh and well-prepared. While the service has always been a bit slow, I understood it was because orders are made fresh, which adds to the quality. I always had a great experience, UNTIL RECENTLY.However, my most recent visit has completely changed my trust in this restaurant, and after reading recent reviews, it seems my concerns are part of a consistent and unresolved issue.Here's what happened: I called to place my usual order and was surprised when no one picked up after several rings (they usually answer promptly). I tried again a few minutes later, and a man answered. When I requested my usual order--with the salad and veggies packed separately to avoid sogginess--he told me they couldn't do that anymore. This was strange since I've been making this request for a long time without issue, always tipping for the extra effort and packaging.I asked if he was the manager, and he responded, "No, nothing like that," adding that no manager was present. As I continued speaking, intending to place my order anyway, he hung up mid-conversation! Shocked, I turned to ask my friends if I should even call back, but since we were craving this food, I decided to try again.When he answered, I mentioned that we seemed to have been disconnected, but instead of acknowledging this, he insisted that I had hung up. He also sounded rushed and irritated, explaining he was the only person managing phones and in-person customers. I get it--being busy can be overwhelming--but this made the experience even more unprofessional. Also, being busy is a good thing for a job and business, so why turn away business?!Reluctantly, I placed my order, and when I picked it up, we were sure it was the same person from the phone (my friends, too, as the conversation was on speaker), though he denied it. When I asked, he claimed the phone orders had been handled by someone else who had "just left." Sure...To add to the chaos, he initially gave me the wrong order. Thankfully, my friends noticed while I was paying, and we corrected it. He apologized and swapped it out. He also mentioned he convinced the kitchen to honor my separate packaging request this one time but said it wouldn't be allowed in the future because of a "new policy."Here's the kicker: How could he have talked to the kitchen about my request if he wasn't the one who took my call? The lies piled up, and it was exhausting to deal with someone so unprofessional and disorganized. Despite claiming he wasn't a manager, he gave me a discount, which made me wonder if he was trying to prevent me from reporting the experience.This entire situation left a bad taste in my mouth--figuratively--and made me question the overall trustworthiness of the staff. If someone like this is handling customers up front, even if not cooking the food, then what about those in the back? It's hard to feel confident about returning.Even so, I am giving 3 stars for the quality of the food, but...To the manager or owner: Please screen your hires more carefully. Training isn't the issue here--it's about hiring reliable, professional staff to begin with. The service is damaging the reputation of what used to be a great place. Unfortunately, you've LOST LOYAL CUSTOMERS (yes, plural, including my friends and their families, too).

Soooo yummy!!! Hands down the best pad Thai I've had, definitely coming again next time I'm in San Jose.

Delicious food. I am not vegan, but I have enjoyed their Fried Rice Combo, Vermicelli Delicacy, and Golden Nuggets. Great as a dairy-free option too.
