One of the coolest restaurants i've ever been to. Incredible vibes. Really nice staff. Highly anticipated visit to Lovely's and man I was so impressed. Came on a Sunday around 2:30 and it was pretty chilly. There are two areas:1) the outside area with lovely's where you order your food that has plenty of picnic tables to sit at 2) the indoor area serving beer with a bunch of tvs and tableswe ordered a cider and the hot apple cider to share while we waited. awesome selection of drinks and vibes. we waited in line for maybe 15-20 minutes.. the line was just moving rather slowly, but once we sat down the food came out after maybe 10 minutes. we ordered a hot chicken sandwich , the double og and an order of fries as well.for starters. this is the best burger i've ever had. i've ever had. the softest bun and the most flavorful patties. we were stunned. speechless even.the hot chicken sandwich was pretty good. but in comparison to the burger it wasn't on the same planet. if we had it alone, i would say it's a great sandwich, but it stands in the shadow of the burger. the fries are cooked perfectly. and i also got the special sauce and the house made ranch (both great)just such a cool spot id love to be back with friends and try some diff stuff9.8/10!!!!!!!!!

I though Lovely's was okay. I stopped by on a Saturday night and easily spent $50 here.At first, I ordered a drive thru burger, fritters, fries, and the comeback sauce.Later I came back for cheese fries and a soft serve. The cheese for the fries tasted like the cheese I ate as a child from those cheese sticks/crackers.Definitely okay and obviously convenient if you're there drinking with some friends. Staff were super nice though.

I came here to catch up with some old college homies, and the vibe was really nice. It is part of the Two Pitchers Brewery, which has an indoor bar and lounge and an outdoor patio. It is a great place to talk, eat good food, and drink beer.I got "The Drive Thru" burger with a double patty and a potato bun instead of the sesame bun. Pretty big, quality standard smash burger with all the ingredients balancing out one another. I also got "The Works Fries" and that was good, but nothing too special, just felt like an elevated in n out animal-style fries. Not sure if it was worth the price. For beer, we got a pitcher of the grapefruit & blood orange radler. It tasted more like juice which is what we were expecting so the flavors were really citrusy and crisp. Easily could have drank a few more glasses.Overall, a great place to come to hang out, and catch up with the homies over some nice draft brews!

I'm not sure if the Owner or Chef has changed from back when Lovely's was located in a bar on Piedmont. I loved the burgers back then. The OG burgers were thicker and had more substance. I think the new location makes Smash Burgers so the meat is thinner and the burger comes with a special house made sauce.I ordered a Smash Burger and an order of fries. My Buddy was thinking of ordering a double burger but decided to get a single burger. We both thought the burgers were good but my buddy wished he had ordered the double burger. He was still hungry after eating a single. The fries were fresh, hot, no crispness but good. They used to sell really good onion rings but they no longer sell them. The Western Burger has an onion ring in the burger so we asked if we could buy an order but they said it wasn't on the menu at the time.I might try the Western Burger and a hot dog next trip. I'm hoping they bring onion rings back.

Friendly staff, good location, warm crowd. It was a good spot to go with some friends for a bite. My food was acceptable but not incredible. The seating was spacious. The price was more than reasonable for the buzzing part of Oakland. I would come back. Why not five star? It didn't excel, I didn't love it enough to seek it out on my own. It's a spot for a super super casual date or a place to meet friends before going out in Oakland. All in all worth checking out and adding to your Rolodex.

For what it is, this place is actually pretty great. Apparently, a lot of people think so because it was extremely busy.Food - we tried a burger, a fish sandwich, and a fried chicken burger. They were all absolutely delicious. The buns were soft and fresh, the toppings were delicious, the meats were cooked to perfection. We also tried the fries which were fine and the corn fritters which were a little less popular with our group, but they're kind of an acquired taste. It's nice that you can go over to the bar next-door and they have a counter right there and order beers and beverages. The ambience in the evening is actually fairly festive, it's just a bunch of outdoor picnic tables crammed on top of each other with a few party lights. There is a security guard and it's protected from the street. That block doesn't actually seem particularly sketchy, we didn't feel uncomfortable walking back to our car at night. The prices were good. I actually got a beer for three bucks. My one complaint is this, and I didn't ding them a star for it, but they really should address this... If you want an ice cream, you either need to order it when you order your burger, which makes no sense, or wait in line for another 40 minutes. They really should rethink that and have a separate window for ice cream and sodas. Note that on a busy night, it does take a really long time to get through the line and then to wait for your food. So you have to be patient. We will absolutely be back.

Jamie W and I finally tried this popular spot after strolling around Lake Merritt on an especially warm day. We were dumbstruck at the long line in what appeared to be a converted vacant lot. There were at least thirty people ahead of us. Such a crawl. We were more than ready to place our order at the window. Then we had to wait for one of the benches to open up. Damn, I'm too old for this. We decided to share three things. The first was the $7.75 OG, a pretty standard burger with American cheese, grilled onion, pickle slices, ketchup, and mustard on a potato bun (photo: https://yelp.to/QC5kHhwREz). Even though the beef was high quality, the result was soggy and underwhelming. Better was the $9.50 Chicago Dawg, a foot-long dog with tomato, onion, sports pepper, relish, mustard, pickle spear, and celery salt (photo: https://yelp.to/iin7Mn6T_u).It was a true Chicago dog which was exactly what we wanted. We didn't realize it came with fries, but that didn't stop us from getting the full $5 order of Fries. They were on the soggy side which frankly I didn't mind. The weather was so warm that it was hard to sit outside with no awning for very long, especially with unleashed dogs and hyperactive kids milling about. Yeah, we just couldn't muster more than a meh on our experience here.FOOD - 3 stars...good ingredients help the fast food here but not enough except for the Chicago DawgAMBIANCE - 2.5 stars...couldn't they afford umbrellas?SERVICE - 3 stars...there's got to be a better order management systemTOTAL - 3 stars...life is too short to wait in that line againRELATED - Exploring Oakland? I ordered the drive-through, added a double patty, and a side of fries. The burger is pretty solid, and the schmaltz onion, which are onions cooked in chicken fat, is pretty good ( can feel rich and heavy after some time ). The place is very casual, you order at a window and wait for your buzzer to go off before you pick your order up at another window. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor with the brewery. The indoor area is pretty cool. Feels super hipster. They have events throughout the weekdays and board games you can borrow while you sit. There are signs to remind you to buss your own table, but I noticed after ordering, the tip screen options read "22%, 20%, 18%" which I found to be surprising.

Hmmm it was a decent burger but in my opinion overhyped. Pros: good char, nice composition of toppings, not wet (I hate a wet burger!), nice guy taking our order. Two Pitchers played fun moody alt rock music from the 2000s Cons: slow (pretty short line but still took 25 min to order and 15 min to get the food). Corn fritters were doughy and meh. Fried chicken sandwich pales in comparison to hotboys. Fries were nothing to write home about I would recommend if you're looking for a chill place to hang out and drink beer and have burgers. But as a food destination alone I probably won't be back. Still looking for a good burger spot that compels me to return!

Kind of regretting not opting out for in-n-out... Our order was given out to somebody else on accident which is an honest mistake but how they chose to rectify that mistake is bad practice. Instead of prioritizing remaking our order, we have been waiting for nearly 40 minutes at this point, they are still PUSHING out orders from people way behind us and from what they said they are just "trying to cut down the line". Yeah I get that but you do that by starting on the earliest orders, for example counting the one you f*cked up on. We finally got to eat our two burgers and fries after an hour wait. I don't think there are any meals or establishments that warrant an hour wait especially for two burgers and fries.Kind of sucks cause I've been here once before with coworkers and wanted to show this spot to my partner but it's given us a bad first impression. The food is good but I didn't leave with a great desire to return. I think this might be a good place to order from if you're going to two pitchers brewing and you have time to kill for your order to take nearly an hour to come out.
