Le Banc

This place has great energy. Drinks were served quickly and accurately. Bartender Ryan was awesome and his shirt was on point. I will definitely be coming back soon for the Karaoke, great drinks and company.

Stopped by Le Banc after trying to walk off pizza, chicken wings and beer. Didn't think Los Altos would have a dive bar. Well, it's about as divey as one would expect of the town. Good bar. A buddy and I had a couple of pints and talked about the town we used to frequent way back in the 90s when we attended the neighboring community college. Ah, those we the daysAnyway, Le Banc mean "the bench" in French and not "the bank" like we thought. A tip of the hat to the bartender "Ella" for educating us.We both liked the joint and will go back. Sorry, only one pic this time. It felt weird snapping pictures of a nearly empty bar.

Wild place. I popped in 2 weeks ago and the lady that was the manager made me one of the best 'Old Fashioned's' I've ever had. Today I took my wife and it was some of the worst drinks we've ever had!Breakdown of our two drinks:Margarita, for my wife. Margaritas are not builds, they are shaken. Drink was out of balance, poured poorly, and stirred.Old fashioned, for me. Old Fashioned's are stirred, this was. However it was strained, over nothing (no ice) in a martini glass? We were the only customers in the bar as we were in town for the farmers market as it opened. It took the bartender around 5 minutes to produce two drinks. If we walked in the bar again and we saw this gentleman behind the bar, we're out the door.....The vibe/ambiance is weird....There's records on the wall, some oddly placed Funko Pop's and games that need to be moved around to fit better. My wife joked it's a goofy bar representation of our living room!We'll try again, thanks to happy hour pricing, but today was soooooo bad!Really a let down after one amazing cocktail.......

Back in the day I used to watch sports with colleagues at First & Main (RIP) & would run into Jamie Baker who did Sharks commentary for a while which was cool. When that closed a classic sports bar basically no longer existed in this town. So my friend tells me the team at Amadine created one and they watched an NFL game there and that we should catch an NBA one soon. This used to be a wine tasting room if im not mistaken. It's a very locals place and the opposite of what Amandine is, which isnt a bad thing . Lots of screens, digital juke boxes and what looks to be a a karaoke setup (not my speed) . So catching a beer or basic cocktail is where it's at. Pretty mellow until the large group of birthday party ladies show up. Otherwise you can trek to Amandine an fancy it up

11/18/23 My family and I went to their soft opening some months ago and also at their grand opening. As a member of the Los Altos chamber of commerce, I try very best to patronize all of our town's businesses. I recommend Le banc to everyone before or after dinner to taste their warm service. This may be the only full bar in downtown. There's a lot going on in this bar. There's a lot of TV's, games, jukebox, and interesting décor. Bartenders are good. I don't think it's quite my scene, but there's something for everyone at this place. It caters to everyone.

The center of Main Street, the center of Los Altos as far as friendly get-together. Daily visit recommended.

Hardly any customers at 5:30 for happy hour. Sat at a table. Bartender never acknowledged our arrival. After sitting at the table, approached the bartender who was initially brusk but warmed up shortly. Drinks were made well. Never more than a few customers while we were there. Probably not a repeatable experience.

I dunno- maybe it was just an off night...Look, I love me a dive bar. I've been to plenty. I'm a professional musician...I get around. This is not that. It tries to be. However- a dive bar has character and vibes and most of all...superstar bartenders. The bartender was so unbelievably hostile and downright rude. IF she could even be bothered to serve you... sigh. Whatevs. Better places to go. Better folks to share space with. I'd rather tip someone who pretends to give AF.

Fun, friendly neighborhood bar. The staff and owners are great. I recommend stopping by for a drink before or after dinner.
