I came here to a have a weird/tough meeting about getting a local arts nonprofit to commit to the Palestinian campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel, aka PACBI. The warm, comforting atmosphere that Kinfolx provides really helped with the anxiety I was feeling. I got a limeade since it was way past my caffeine cutoff time. It was great limeade, though a little pricey when you include tip.Everything I ever ordered here has been great. The service has been great as well. If you have a problem with this place your politics are probably bad.

Kinfolx has been on my radar for a while, being a minority-owned and community-oriented cafe in the East Bay, and it does not disappoint. The seating is very welcoming with a variety of seating types from small working tables (which I was at) to couches. The art, plants, and lots of natural lighting really livens up the place too.The WiFi was a bit spotty, though password info was well posted and there were outlets scattered near working tables for customer convenience. It was a great set-up for my purposes of camping out for a few hours to get some work done!I ordered a Matcha Latte with their Kinfolx syrup (spiced sweetener with orange zest), and it was good, though not one of the best. Next time I would be interested in trying one of their other non-coffee lattes, perhaps the Lavender Latte..

Kinfolx is a pretty popular cafe a block away from 19th St BART station.I came by to catch up with a friend on a Thursday afternoon around 2:30 and I was shocked by how busy it was. Most tables were occupied by people with laptops who were there working, though there were some small groups chatting as well. The space is huge, with plenty of natural lighting and large plants placed throughout the space. I can see why it's a popular place for folks to work. They offer a variety of drinks and food, with the food mostly focusing on sandwiches and sweet/savory pastries. I had lunch already and wasn't hungry, so I opted for a glass of wine instead. They were out of most white wines, including the one I wanted, so I settled for a glass of the sparkling sauvignon blanc for $13.My friend and I were here for a couple hours chatting away as we slowly sipped our drinks and never felt rushed. My only complaint is that there were a lot of flies flying around and I was constantly waving them away from my glass. This may have been because we were sitting close to the door, which is propped open, but it was annoying to deal with.

Expansive cafe in DT Oakland with myriad almost floor-to-ceiling windows illuminating the space as well as plant life to add color and life to the place. The exposed metal piping and beams on the ceiling gave the place a bit of an eco-brutalist vibe. Plenty of seating, but this place seems to be packed on the weekdays by students and remote workers. I came around 11am on a Monday morning and couldn't find an open table that could accommodate my drink and laptop simultaneously. There is free WiFi and a decent number of outlets available, but, again, it's hard to find a table in general on a weekday. I ordered a chai latte, and it was too sweet for my taste. No explicit option to change sweetness level of drinks.Miscellaneous:-Employees are friendly and do their jobs well-Nice japanese toilet in the bathroom (private)-Great place for studying or work, since almost everyone here is doing the same-You can see a few murals/street art on surrounding buildings if you're seated near the intersection of Telegraph Ave and Thomas L Berkeley Way

Kinfolx was nicely set up with plenty of seating and good vibes. Great place to read, get a coffee, and study. The brown sugar latte was more than worth the visit. Kinfolx had some great art curated, and great service. This place is in the center of it all. Great location, good drinks, friendly service.

Finally a coffee shop that's open late! I was apartment touring nearby and decided to stop by on a Friday night. There's a ton of seating and the inside is very well-decorated and spacious. I was also pleasantly surprised by the size of the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich I ordered. It was very hearty and hit the spot for comfort breakfast food. The service does take awhile, but the staff is small so totally understandable. I can definitely see myself coming back often even though I don't live in Oakland.

Ambiance: One of my favorite coffee shops! Huge space with lots of seating at proper tables and comfy couches. Great place for a coffee meet up or a place to work. Wifi is available and works great. Though it can get pretty crowded and noisy in the afternoon. If you plan to work I advise going in the morning. They also have regular events that they post on their instagram and open evenings as a wine bar. Service: Order at the counter and self bus, but the staff is helpful at the counter. Food/Drink: I have never had a coffee there I didn't like, they are all well balanced for those that like sweetish but not too sweet.

Came on a Saturday afternoon and ordered the iced matcha latte. I saw a few options for syrup and asked the cashier what the kinfolx syrup was and she said it has a bit of citrus. I asked what she recommended for syrup to pair with the matcha latte and she said "whatever your heart desires," which was not helpful. So I ordered it with a simple syrup. Took about 10 mins for the drink to be ready.I was pretty disappointed when I tasted my drink. It had a strong mint flavor which means they either didn't wash out their tools properly or there was some cross contamination. The lack of care in the customer service as well as the mint flavor in my matcha is deterring me from coming back.Otherwise the ambiance inside looked cozy with quite a few seats. The seats were pretty full when we came too. Restrooms were clean.

This cafe is so cute and I can't wait to come back! Ive always seen the venue packed during the evening because they promote and host community events! But stopping by during the day was definitely worth it! Came here around 10am on a Saturday and there was a light buzz to the place! They also had an awesome playlist going that consisted of oldies! Anyway, they have an easy & simple menu & great prices! The drinks were good and the matcha was made to perfection! I will say that the house special latte tastes better hot instead of being over ice! The bacon, egg, cheese sandwich was good too! I'd recommend getting it without the bacon! It seemed a little undercooked! Otherwise, this was a great experience and I can't wait to go back!
