I finally got to try this Smoked BBQ. Overall I say the Pulled Pork Plate they offer this time is good. They are not a regular BBQ restaurant with regular hours. What I would do is sign up through their website: ibringdasmoke.com and get notification when he cooks. Ordering process was easy and painless and the same for pick up.I was hoping for some brisket, but unfortunately this time around was only pulled pork. So I ordered and tried it. The dry rub coasted on the pork was perfectly seasoned on the outter area, I wish the inner & center meats would have the same. But the pork was very tender went well with the smoked pear bourbon habanero sauce. 4 StarsThe Delta Slaw is one the the best coleslaw I ever had. Made with MAYO-FREE combination of hand-cut green and purple cabbage, orange and red peppers, carrots, and green onion in a brown sugar, apple cider vinegar & celery seed dressing. 5 Stars.The Smoked Poblano Mac with fusilli pasta wasn't creamy or cheesy cheddar and gruyere sauce was a little water down. 3 Stars.Next time hopefully I can substitute, the Mac with extra slaw.The Brown Sugar Bourbon Banana Pudding, all I'm going to say is WOW!!!!! One of the best decisions I ever made was to sign up for the alerts for ibringdasmoke! I had forgotten about it until I got an email alert at 4:30 PM on Monday and I placed my order for the smoked brisket as that was all that was on offer this round. I was up late going through emails and placed and paid for my order on line at 11:00 PM the day after I got the alert and the next morning got the message that they had sold out! And now I know why! I was given a 30 min time slot to pick up my order (keeps things manageable) and believe me, I was right there at the start (OK 3 minutes early; don't judge) and from the smell I knew I was at the right house! We ordered the pound and it came with their signature smoky pear bourbon habanero sauce. I am a spice wimp, and would call this mild BUT also SO GOOD; I would eat it with a spoon. The meat was tender, succulent with some nice ribbons of fat that were just right; like a layer cake. The FLAVOR was phenomenal. Look, this just makes me danged proud to be a San Leandran. I'm a little reluctant to post this review as I would rather keep this our little secret. At $30/lb., this was not standard weekday fare. It's a treat. Firstly, sign up for ibringdasmoke emails or follow them on instagram. This is not an everyday walk up restaurant (at least not of yet). You will be notified in advance when the food is available. Then you simply go online and place your order.I ordered the Trinity. It came with 3 meats and 2 sides. I got the ribs, pulled pork and brisket, with a double side of smoked poblano bacon mac. I also ordered a side of jalapeño poppers. Everything was absolutely delicious! And i mean everything. Plus, the portions were large. Enough to feed 2 people. I will absolutely order again!! Now, although everything was spot on, the stand out item to me was the sauce. The meat does not come sauced, and It tastes perfectly amazing on it's own. However it comes with a little container of sauce, that I wasn't going to try because the meat didn't need it, but ended up trying it just because. It was sweet and spicy. A flavor combination I've never tasted before. Completely brand new to my pallet. I LOVED IT. I will definitely be purchasing a jar.

ibringdasmoke BBQ is da bomb! Quinn is a gifted chef working from his home. The sides are very good, the desserts are great (try the banana pie!), but he truly excels on the meats. Get on the notification list to hear of upcoming cook dates and place orders. Pick up is easy: show up at designated time, and text. Quinn will bring out your order. (Note: this family has unvaccinated young children and so some COVID restrictions are still in place). We've tried the pulled pork, ribs and beef brisket. All were tender, moist and smoked to perfection. Jonesing for smoky BBQ on a non-cook weekend? Try the frozen brisket or pork. The sealed bags reheat quickly in boiling water, and deliver better flavor than many same-day smokes. Oh: try the slightly spicy sauce too!

I ordered the big trinity, and was not disappointed. The pulled pork was smoky and tender, the ribs were fall off the bone, and the brisket was melt in your mouth delicious. The jalapeño poppers were pleasantly medium spicy. The most interesting side dish was the smoky corn esquites that were cooked in the smoker and seasoned to perfection. I will most definitely order again.

If you are anywhere near San Leandro I'm about to do you a huge favor and let you in on the most incredible BBQ you'll find around here. This guy serves up food from his house every other weekend - you place your order online the week before then pick it up Sunday between 2 and 3. Everything is smoked to perfection and there is nothing I wouldn't recommend. We've tried the ribs, the brisket, and the pulled pork and all are equally amazing. The bbq sauce is homemade and different than the normal sauces you usually get. I could go on and on about the delicious sides (poblano Mac n cheese/esquites/coleslaw) and the deliciousness of their banana pudding. Do yourself a favor and sign up for his order notifications. You won't be sorry.

Now this is amazing BBQ - as a former pitmaster (when I was a teenager back in Alabama - who knew, right?) I can say that his BBQ is world-class and delicious. To me, it's a mark of excellence when you don't need the sauce for the meat to be delicious and on this point, Quinn knocks it out of the park.Also, a personal favorite of mine is his pork sandwich with his wife's banana pudding as a dessert - a great and decadent combo if you want to give it a try. He also will customize your order as best he can, which is a nice bonus.Go on and give it a try - you're gonna be amazed to have found such world-class BBQ in the East Bay!
