Honey Berry Evergreen

Our recent visit to Honey Berry was a disappointing one. Upon entering, the staff seemed surprised by our presence, setting an awkward tone from the start.We inquired about sampling the ice cream, only to be flatly denied without explanation. While we understand the constraints of COVID-19, it's puzzling why a place boasting exotic ice creams wouldn't offer sampling.Opting for the churro and ice cream sandwich, we were met with an unenthusiastic response from the employee, who seemed bothered by our order. The lengthy wait time of 10 minutes was presented without much consideration for our time or satisfaction.The overpowering smell of syrup permeating the entire establishment bordered on nauseating. The transaction concluded with a lackluster handoff of our dessert, no thank you. Maybe thanks for waiting? None of that. This lady is not friendly. I am not the only one who noticed this. Check other reviews below me. It's disheartening to witness such a stark decline in quality and service. The absence of passion among the staff, who I think was the owner, reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. Also the superhero art on the walls has been there since the grand opening, maybe time for something new? Overall, the was one of the worst experiences I've had in a while. If you don't care about your product or customer, how do you expect us to return? Unfortunately, Honey Berry has become Honey Boo Boo. Someone call Gordon Ramsey to do a Kitchen Nightmare on this place.

Still a great desert place in Evergreen. In fact, possibly the best in the area. The roti buns with ice cream are the bomb. They have some ice cream flavors that you won't see at your everyday ice cream place. Service is cool, not the most jovial but it's alright. And the place has cool wall art and a few seats.

This dessert place offers unique sweet items, with a menu where anyone can find something they would like. Their most popular item is the roti bun, which I would highly recommend if you've never ordered from here before. It is a soft bun with a buttery interior and a crispy, sweet crust with a pleasant coffee aftertaste. Notable items I've had: - The roti bun, which I just talked about. They used to have a cookie butter roti bun over a year ago and I'm sad to see it go from the menu because it was DIVINE. The chocolate butter roti bun is the next best thing, though, with a few chocolate chips on top and butter in the middle. It's not too filling, it's the perfect amount of butter. There have been a few times where the roti bun wasn't warmed up properly, so you can try and warm it yourself. - The blended coconut drink with honey boba and strawberry ice cream on top is my favorite go-to for drinks here. The boba is usually pretty soft, I've only had one off experience with the boba in my multiple times coming here. I like that there is an option to have ice cream as a topping to the boba, it's not something you see often. The strawberry ice cream is pretty good, with real strawberry bits in it and a good flavor. Service: Some people have said the service is lackluster, and I will say the food takes a while to come out since there is only one woman running the store. It seems to have been like this for a while, so I will say that if you're looking for quick service this is NOT the place. However, I never thought this woman was rude unlike other reviews are saying- she just seems to appear serious. She has taken our requests for toppings properly and I have also called her before, and that has gone well. Ambiance: The ambiance is not bad for a small shop, though there may be few seats inside. I usually pick up my order and leave. Note: The roti buns run out by around closing time, so get them earlier or call and check if they have roti buns left.

I came in on a Thursday afternoon and it was not busy at all. The woman who helped me was not friendly or inviting and did not want to accommodate my order of a roti ice cream sandwich. I asked to customize mine to chocolate roti bun but she refused, which is odd since I see a couple of images with chocolate roti buns given to customers here on yelp. As for the roti ice cream sandwich, it was just okay. I had ube ice cream and whipped cream with chocolate syrup drizzled. I wasn't aware that whipped cream would be added since the image on the menu doesn't have it included. I wish it was known so I could have asked for it to not to be added. This is my first time trying a roti bun and it had a nice crust on top and reminded me of a croissant. The inside of the restaurant is nice and clean. The menu is simple and easy to read, but the pictures can be misleading. There is a bunch of seating available indoors to enjoy their desserts.

Been going here since 2010ish just for one thing - roti buns. Service is very fast but it can get crowded really fast as well. They change up their decor often so come here for your Instagram photos. Their drinks are mediocre, nothing special but ice cream, yogurt, roti bun and their churros are fantastic. Make sure to get your roti buns reheated for that extra goodness.They also have their roti buns 50% off after a few hours if they weren't sold. Just bring them home and throw it into the air fryer at 390 degrees for 3Minutes and Tastes just as they were made.

$7 minimum to use a credit card and no samples on the ice cream. And the cashier wasn't even that friendly. Talk about customer service. The ice cream was okay.

I wish this place was open longer - but love it whenever it is. If you are craving a yummy dessert - this is a nice place to visit. I come to Honey Berry and my favorite item to get is the buns with ice cream in the middle. The buns are warm and ice cream tastes so fresh always! Service here is always fast and the place has enough tables for a fun hangout with friends. There is also lots of drinks to choose from as well, so give this place a go!

came here after moving away from san jose for four+ years because we were craving their roti buns and other desserts/treats... so sad to say the quality has significantly gone down. this use to be one of our favorite go-to spots for desserts and everything we ordered was extremely lackluster. we were unfortunately given 6 old roti buns. we know because we use to buy the "day old" roti buns they'd display in the front at a discounted price back then. the "fresh" ones we received today were exactly like those. we were so disappointed and will most likely not make a trip all the way out here for them again.

Love their churro with ice-cream and roti bun with ice cream combination. Ice cream is fresh as well

Gf and I used to visit Honey Berry in Oakridge once a week for their roti bun and milk tea combo. It was sad when that location closed down.The evergreen location is quite a bit away so we don't go very often, but we're glad to see that the roti bun and milk tea combo is still alive.Some of the reviews score the customer service low, but I've had only good interactions with the lady who works at (owns?) the shop. She doesn't smile much (maybe that throws some people off) but she is polite and seems comfortable with small talk.
