Very Homey feel for Home Kitchen.I visited Home Kitchen on a random morning a little before noon. There was only one other table with patrons at the time. Old folks talking about how to use iPhone features. You can probably imagine how that went.Being in San Luis Obispo for awhile (sorry SLO), I had a craving for good old South Bay (sorry Santa Clara) pho. I went for the house special + spring rolls, which was a hearty serving for a 160lb average sized middle aged man.Overall, it was a great bowl of pho! No complaints and no severe accolades. I'd definitely come back to this place for a quick fix. Service was great as well.

When I'm sick I just carve warm Asian carbs. I ordered from UberEats and everything came very neatly packaged (we saved the bento-box style containers for re-use!). Why is chicken noodle soup so hard to find when it's a staple of recovering from the cold! Tons of beef noodle soup options everywhere, but I was happy to find this version. The broth was perfect, very flavorful, and it came with ample amounts of tender chicken. They had lots of Clay Pot Rice options which were hard to choose from, we ended up getting a combo. It's hard to make clay pot rice as appetizing for delivery, but the rice was super flavorful, well-seasoned, and still had crisp parts to it. Highly recommend! Also got the Grilled Shrimp Vermicelli which came with a good amount of perfectly cooked and seasoned shrimp, and a side saladBookmarking this spot for my next cold!

Was craving a mean bowl of pho so we came here since it was so close. Their pho was pretty disappointing for me. While it was pretty cheap, it was extra cost to add meatballs or any other meat, and they don't give much beef with the meal. Idk if I'll be coming back...

Get the pork clay pot - you won't regret it. Fried chicken was good, but I just expected traditional Vietnamese fried wings. These were panko crusted, yummy and crispy so nothing wrong with them. Beef soup also wasn't bad, not as light as others but good flavor -- TBH, I like my soups kind of bland so I'm not going to rate that lol. Friendly staff. No wait which was great! Cute Asian decor.

Since my go to Vietnamese Restaurant closed down, I have been in search of a new one. I decided to give Home Kitchen a try and I am so glad I did. Once I walked into the restaurant I was greeted by a very sweet lady. The restaurant is very nice and very clean. I placed my order and my food came out in good time. Won Ton Soup caught my attention and I am glad I did. It was a good price and they give you a good amount of wontons. I loved the broth as well. I am glad I found a new Vietnamese spot so quickly and I am looking forward to coming back here soon.

No MSG! It's rare to find this, so I like to point it out when I do see it.Unfortunately, one thing prevented it from being five stars for me - there was a hair in my soup. Also, service wasn't very friendly and they never refilled my water. I had the Veggie Tom-Yum Noodle Soup. The soup base was very flavorful. They had a good amount of noodles in the soup and the toppings (veggies & tofu) were plentiful! I enjoyed my soup from Home Kitchen and would happily return, provided I don't ever find that unsanitary addition of a hair in my meal again...

To start just want to say it is really a 3.5. Came in on a Saturday at lunch time. Place was pretty empty. Place is a bit on the smaller side. Service wise was just average. They took the order and food came relatively quickly, however server never came back afterFood wise orderedSpring rolls (3.5/5): was fresh, but nothing amazing. Would order again if craving spring rolls since they are reasonably priced comparatively Egg rolls (3.5/5): Nice and crispy and hot. Flavor was decent just needed a bit more punchBeef Pho + Meatballs (3.5/5): Well priced, noodles were a little on the undercooked side, broth mild flavor, meat decent cutsPork rice plate + shrimp (2/5): Would skip all rice plates if that was the standard. Small portion of meat, shrimp over cooked, flavor just meh (not worth the add on). Flavor of the pork was the only thing going until just got a huge piece of just fat....Over all this place is one of the few reasonably priced pho places I've seen these days. Will definitely be back to give the pho another shot and the crispy noodle dish. Definitely worth a try if your in the area

For those on a shoestring budget and tend not to over spend this is the place where they serve authentic Vietnamese meals with generous portion size. Located in downtown Santa Clara in a tightly knit plaza right next door to Rantei a Japanese restaurant unfortunately they're opened late in the afternoon parking best to come by early than later in the day. From reading previous reviews it has a cozy yet not so spacious interior. I was definitely impressed by the staff as they welcome me and seated right away gave me iced water as I glazed thru the menu. OMG, I can't believe the prices most places it would cost more here you're getting your money's worth. First I order #12 Wonton Noodle Soup, #20 Grilled Shrimp Vermicelli both large size bowl and for drink Thai iced tea $4.50 and it was in a glass not a small cup size. The kind lady brought over my meals and I was shocked they looked like large Godzilla size bowl and I'm not kidding. That in itself cover my lunch and dinner combine won't go hungry anytime soon. Highly recommend to my friends and co-workers. My go- to will add that to my list.

Decided to WFH today and the sudden craving for PHO had hit me hard. You all know, Pho is not something one can door dash. This was one of the restaurants located closeby. At 4pm you have the option to sit at any table and you'll likely be the only customer. Huge PLUS, as service and food come out REAL QUICK. Anyways, I defintely recommend y'all stop by to satisfy your pho cravings.

Randomly found this spot on a search for vegan Vietnamese. While it isn't a vegan restaurant, they have an entire vegetarian section on the menu! Servers were super friendly, and it did feel a little like dining in someone's home. We ordered the veggie noodle soup (vegan pho) and the veggie pork (seitan) vermicelli, with an appetizer of the veggie spring rolls and the jasmine tea. The springs rolls had shredded tofu that was spiced really well and gave the roll a great texture. Peanut sauce was thick and not watery. The seitan in the veggie pork also had great flavor and there was a decent portion of it in the vermicelli. Really happy with the veggie noodle soup. There was a variety of veggies (cauliflower, carrot, cabbage, mushroom) though not a huge amount. Also wish there was a bit more tofu. There was no shortage of noodles, thank goodness. The veggie broth mimicked the traditional pho broth (unlike some places where it can be flavorless and little more than water) - you could taste things like star anise in it. Everything was really fresh, as well. Honestly, I liked this spot more than a couple of the fully vegan spots I've been to, so that's saying a lot! Putting this one into the rotation.
