Best Value and taste summed up this place.The 3-item menu had a vast offerings compared to other restaurants with similar packages. The portions are out of this world, and the taste is as home cooking as you can get. The most Americanized dish is Walnut Prawns... I have nothing against Walnut Prawns but with all the other authentic Chinese dishes, that will be the last thing I order. But I am sure it is good as so many people ordered it when we visited.The service was a bit rushed but very friendly. They are busy. If you are expecting white glove treatment this is not the place and you are not paying the $$$ either. Do expect noisy atmosphere typical to small neighborhood Chinese restaurants. But we are not there for the ambience, just food.If you want yummy big portions Chinese food with amazing value, you are at the right place.

This is a take out review. But these are the things we had:- Sweet and sour pork: small pork pieces that were quite battered. The sauce wasn't special but there were some pieces of more batter than pork.- Salt and pepper fish: pretty good, and well flavored- Bean curd and pork: tried to order with chives like I saw on the menu in a picture but they couldn't figure that out. The flavor was there and we enjoyed the bean curd pieces but it could have used something to balance out the meatiness/protein of the dish.Easy to find parking which was great.

It's been a long time but we finally dined in at this restaurant. It's located at Newark Blvd and right across Mcdonalds. We arrived at lunchtime and this place had a lot of parking. A few people were dining in and we were seated right away. They offer lunch specials and also 3 items for $35.99. We opted for the 3 items so that we can share. We had their chicken wings in garlic sauce, salted fish chicken fried rice, and string beans with ground pork. The service was very fast and we got our order within 10 mins. The food portions are very generous. The fried rice was good for more than 2 people, string beans were served in a big bowl and they served 8 big chicken wings. All of the times are very delicious. We enjoyed our meal and were able to take home leftovers. The price is not bad for 3 items. They also offer party trays for catering. They suggest giving them a few day's notice so that they can prepare on the day of pick-up. For a quick meal, we would try their lunch special next time.

Horrible service and nickle and dime patron for all the little things. Three items menus advertised for $36. But with service and tips come to $65. Beware of the waitress who check in and asks about the food and her service. She expects at least 20% tips and stops you from leaving if tips is less than 20% for mediocre food and unhealthy for elderly people. Loaded with msg and oils.

Local business with authentic Chinese food. Fair prices. I don't see they have any online ordering. You would have to call to order food to go, or go to the restaurant to order. .The lady that took the order was friendly. Special menu written in Chinese only.

Good Neighbor has been a neighborhood staple for decades. It's an affordable restaurant: as of November 2024, it costs $35.99 for three dishes on the special menu. There is plenty of seating, and it was pretty filled on Friday evening. Hope they continue to stay in the neighborhood

Good Neighbor is pretty delicious with generous portions for cheap. They got a 3 entree for $35.99 deal. They also give complimentary soup for all diners. Today was my second time here this month. Last time we had 12 people at table. Today was four. Everything last time and today were flavorful. The dishes we had were: 26. Black Pepper Shredded Beef 31. Seafood Claypot 34. Stir Fry with Lotus Root The restaurant was probably an old fashioned ice cream parlor before. You can see old school light shades with ice cream on it. Who cares about spending decor when they make the food so affordable especially in this economy!

Closed and the owner never told any customer or post and note saying we will be closing 'till Jan. 28 and Yelp stills say they will be open tomorrow.

Go to spot for Chinese food that's convenient, delicious, and decently cleaned. It's the neighborhood Chinese restaurant that everyone goes to. Love their walnut shrimp and fried rice! They could work on stating their times ready for pick up but overall a solid choice if you're in the mood for Chinese foos,

Today 9 of us dine here for lunch, this restaurant always served fresh yummy good portion of Chinese food. Since I don't live that close to this yummy restaurant, I always ordered additional 3 dishes TO GO. I gave them my own containers, they came back with 3 delicious Chinese dishes. Yes I 100% recommended this Chinese restaurants, dine here by you self solo, couples, families, friends get together or just simply eat a meal, I wish you will enjoy their food as I do.
