Plusses:+ They have both Kilkenny and Smithwicks! I forget on tap or in cans but I'll take either. Not sure what happened to my taste buds but I now strongly prefer Smithwicks. + The decor is an odd combo of "classic Irish bar with fine finish carpentry," "vintage industrial filament bulb bar," and.... "instagram-friendly rainbow light disco?" Somehow it works.Minuses:- They turn up the music to an unbelievably loud level in there. Come on, my friends aren't THAT dull, I actually want to hear what they're saying. So you'll want to grab those drinks outside on the patio where it's not so loud. But maybe it's not too warm either - bring a coat!

This place has many things going for it. 1. The have the NFL SUNDAY TICKET, so you can enjoy your favorite game here at Fibbar McGees. So many so called "Sports Bars" like St Stephen's Green on Castro Street MV dropped it because it's so expensive. 2. Large selection of Irish favorites 3. Start with the Shephard's Pie, it's excellent. Beef slow cooked with vegetables in a beef burgundy wine sauce topped with fluffy mash potatoes and cheddar cheese4. Servers are great5. Bathroom is very clean6. Great decor, a very clean establishment. Really impressed wuith the Men's Room. Very clean throughout.7. The downer is the owner is a die hard Patriots Fan....(just kidding)

We always enjoy going to Fibbars, and even moreso today on their 30th birthday party. The menu was limited--wisely based on the crowd size--but there were still plenty of food options, including the Irish standards. We shared the shepherd's pie and, because we were concerned that the pie wouldn't be big enough for two, we ordered the corned beef fries starter. We needn't have worried. The pie was plenty big, but the fries were so good we ate those as well. Our friend had the fish and chips and pronounced it as good as always. The beer selection at Fibbars is always good with several options of many varieties including ipas, dale's, loggers, pilsner's, stouts, and sours and fruited beer. Not to mention ciders. Most of the beers stay the same, but they introduce new ones frequently enough to make it interesting. My wife had a Pliny, which she always enjoys and I had a Mango Cart wheat beer. It was delicious as always. Our friend had the nitro red stout, which was very tasty and something I might get next time we go.Last but not least, the service is always friendly and helpful.

Fibbar was Remodeled last year. It looks nice. We weren't super hungry so we got the fried zucchini, potato skins, fish & chips and shepherds pie to snack on. Not big drinkers, we sipped on cokes and diet cokes. Nice employees, nice atmosphere, great place to hang out on a Saturday evening.

Almost 3.5 stars?Popped in for a bevy after The Oxford across the street was closed for a private party.Friendly and attentive staff (4.5 stars for them). Typical pub interior, but some nice covered outdoor seating in the front and the back. The back patio has four tv screens. Food is not great but the specials pricing for Saturday made the Guinness steak pie a steal at $14 for pie, mash, and veggies. Would skip the jalapeño poppers.

Came to this bar 2x as I was working up in Sunnyvale. I'm not sure what's up with the three stars, but it's definitely more than that. The curry fries are ti die for ! The place is nice and the bartenders are awesome. They have an amazing selection of beer on tap. Shepherds pie is decent as well. If I'm ever around the area, I will definitely return to this location. I will definitely check it out if your around the area.

Came here with a friend to watch some games and it was totally packed! We were fortunate enough that someone flagged us down to give us their seats. Once we were seated, the servers were extremely friendly and attentive. We ordered wine, mozzarella sticks, shepherd's pie, and fish and chips. Overall, the portions were sizable and quite good. The place was absolutely buzzing from the excitement of the game but I wouldn't mind coming back another time for some casual drinks!

It's not only an Irish bar, but a great place to eat, meet up with friends, community meeting place. They have tons of events, activities, daily specials at very reasonable prices. Bring the family for cheap eats before 10:00 pm Mon -Thurs. When this was written 50% off Irish whiskey Wednesdays!! I got a pour of a 21 yr for a crazy cheap price!! Deal!! Trivia nights, Music Vids, buzzing, vibing place with great drinks, great food, and geat staff. Bartenders are also easy on the eyes and super nice.....both women & men.
