El Hornito Pan Pizza

I ordered a to go shrimp pizza and it was my first time ordering from this place and they did not disappoint. Their dough is the right thickness, has slight sweetness to it, the sauce to cheese and toppings ratio was just so perfect. The pizza tasted so good and was ready to pick up in 15 minutes.

While visiting the SF Bay Area, I decided to pick up some pizza for my o'hana, who were in town from Hawaii. The Al Pastor Pizza from El Hornito Pan Pizza caught my eye, especially since my brother, TP, is a big fan of Mexican food. I was hoping it would be a hit, but it turned out to be just okay. The pizzas were generously topped, but I noticed that the crust had a two-inch wide edge, which meant less surface area for toppings. The pizzas also felt undercooked; the dough was soft and chewy, and could have benefited from more time in the oven for a crispier crust and melted cheese. I had high hopes for the Al Pastor Pizza, but it ended up being just alright--I was really expecting more than "just okay." Of all the issues, the undercooked crust stood out as the biggest disappointment. If I were to return, I'd definitely ask for a crispier crust. Out of everything we ordered, the Combination Pizza was my favorite. I've ordered pizza from here several times and have enjoyed the pizza less and less. The dough has gotten too sweet and pizza is way too doughy for my taste. I had really high hopes for this place but I don't feel it is worth it anymore.

This is my favorite pizza place! They put lots of toppings, cook it perfectly, and the crust is the best! My order always comes fresh and hot and made exactly how i ordered it. I like their house salad the dressing is delicious! Everything I have tried here is great! Their personal pizza is a good size! Good prices as well.

DISCLAIMER: The dough is not your typical pizza dough. It's more like a Mexican sweet bread. (not saying it's a bad thing, just so you can align your expectations)THE GOOD- Pepperoni Pizza (4.25 out of 5)- - I like the pepperoni chosen. Oily but not overly oily.- Hawaiian Pizza (4.25 out of 5)- - Good quality ham and pineapple toppings.- Cheesy Bread (4 out of 5) - The dough is sweet but it blends well with the cheese.- Also good to note that the interior is nicely decorated and clean.- Staff was very friendly and welcoming.THE BAD- Also, the dough.- - I got to double, triple stomp on the fact that the dough/crust is sweet. If you're not expecting, you could be blinded sided and it might not be you're thing.THE UGLY- Nothing.

I ordered chicken nachos and lemon pepper wings. Chicken was pre cooked, cheese was sparse, and there was a ton of pico on top. The worst was the sour cream in the side container was frozen. The wings smelled gross. I took one bite and it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside but it literally stank. After that one bite, I had to throw them in the garbage. $30 for two things I threw away.

Yummy! Al pastor pizza is ridiculous good! The pizza style is traditional, not deep dish not thin, regular. They're other pizzas are good too! I tried Pepperoni and that was good. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. They make the food to order. The wait is reasonable. There's also a parking lot with plenty of parking. Prices are reasonable. I would recommend this place and come here regularly. Try it, you'll love it!

Came in to try this place out. It is clean and big enough to sit some ppl down. The service is quick and friendly. I ordered a pepperoni Toppings and cheese were plentiful but the crust was bready. Overall taste was good. They had a nice selection of desserts including flan, homemade. Would I return? Yes

I'm very picky about food especially pizza, but I tried this place out and I could not recommend it enough! Everything is freshly cooked and baked. So so good! I can barely eat 2 slices of pizza but I ate this whole pizza by myself. It was that good!

Yes, yes finally some excitement. I live in Fremont and found this place. Ordered the El Hornito's Signature Pasta. First of all, this was for my wife who is vegetarian. So I called to ask if they could leave off the sausage. The person I spoke to was so nice and helpful, so hard to find these days. She had a joyful disposition and detailed solution. Thank you-you rock and should get a raise!As an Italian cook, I must say, I am picky about pasta. This pasta is going on my top 3 restaurant pastas of ALL time. It was creamy, spicy, unctuous and just so delicious. I ate part of my sausage pizza, also amazing, and then MADE room to finish my wife's pasta. It was addicting. You must check this place out. As a picky eater, I know there are a lot of average reviews out there. Discard any average review for this place, it is spot on. Please order this pasta...and then order more, as I will be doing very soon.Thank you El Hornito for reminding me that quality still exists, that wonderful customer service still exists.
