Eggy’s Neighborhood Kitchen

Was in Berkeley area. Felt like eggs, did a b-fast search and this place looked like it fit the bill. It totally fit the bill and then some! Eggy's is located is a small complex of eateries and it has indoor and outdoor seating - outdoor is the play for me. Cool breakfast and lunch menu- the egg choices were totally grabbing my attention. At the counter I ordered huevos rancheros and a side of bacon which I asked for "soft not crispy " and coffee. The runner brought my coffee and immediately noticed my table was wobbly and had the perfect tool to fix it. Then my huevos rancheros arrived - I hope my picture inspires folks because its even more beautiful in person. And let me tell you - this was the best breakfast I've had since I can remember. The eggs were perfectly cooked medium, the taco shells were crispy, the verde sauce was so good I almost picked up the plate to finish it off like a soup bowl! And the bacon was perfectly cooked as requested- and an excellent portion. I had to go back inside and tell them how much I loved the meal and how much I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Finally got around to trying Eggy's and it didn't disappoint! My friend and I waited about 30 min on a busy Sunday afternoon to get in for brunch. Fortunately when we were welcomed in, our orders were taken immediately. Staff moved quickly and were friendly. We ordered the following to share:- Chicken & Waffles: Delicious! Chicken was crisp and well seasoned; waffles were nice and soft.- Chilaquiles verde: Rich flavor, chip portions were great and the blend of pickled onions, Queso fresco, jalapeños, and everything in between was lovely. My friend is vegetarian and this was such a good meal! - Oskie Sandwich: The caramelized onions on this sandwich was *chef's kiss*- Dirty horchata: Yummy - had a good creaminess to it! Seating was a bit tight, but ceilings are high inside (it compensates a bit). Lighting inside is comfortable, background noise on the louder side. I'd recommend this place for a more high energy group!

Cute and amazing food! We had the huevos rancheros and churro waffles. SO good, staff was really friendly too. The only con is that seating can be a little tight and coffee was "meh" wasn't worth the $6 for my latte. But I would def return and it is worth the wait.

Eggy's was the destination for a girliepop-brunch out, and it seemed like many others had the same idea that morning. You wait in the physical line for your table, so there's no online waitlist. Took about half an hour to get to the front, where you order and then get led to your table.Leaning towards savory brunch, we started with the Braised Short Rib Hash, which was flavorful and tender.Eggys Harvest Bene sounded good based on the description, but was a bit underwhelming for us. There just wasn't a lot to rave about, and we wished we had chosen another popular dish, but next time!We ended our order with the Tres Leches French Toast, which was surprisingly delicious as we weren't craving a sweet brunch. However, the dish was moist, tasty, and enjoyed as a little dessert.Their portions are generous, and the dishes are pic-worthy.. See our spread pic below, which made it onto my IG story. Be prepared to take leftovers home, or just don't over-order. I would love to come back and enjoy interior seating, plus some more good food.

I have been looking for brunch spots and this place came as a recommendation from Yelp. I was mostly attracted towards the ambiance, the front garden is amazing and well maintained and there are fee tables to sit.We ordered wings 4/5Chilaquiles 4/5Tres leches french toast 4/5Crab eggs Benedict 4/5Great service, I have one issue with the silverware and the glasses every thing smelled eggy and I could not enjoy my food with the smell. I hope they clean it well.

Finally made it to Eggy's Neighborhood Kitchen and they did not disappoint! First, you MUST get there when they first open. I got there a few minutes before 9:30 am and was at the front of the line to get in. The line was down the ramp shortly after. The inside is small with a limited amount of tables. However, there were plenty of outdoor tables as well. It was easy to place at an order when you get inside and grab a table. A server will bring your food and drinks out to your table. They do have water, utensils, and condiments available in the front for you to grab. I loved the decor and overall vibe of Eggy's. Staff were friendly and they had a nice music playlist playing. I had meals off the special Valentine's Day menu which may not be offered on the regular menu but everything was delicious. The short rib hash, French toast, and guava mimosa were soooooo delicious! I can't wait to try this restaurant again in the future and highly recommend Eggy's for anyone looking for breakfast/brunch in Berkeley.

Eggys Neighborhood Kitchen delivers a fantastic breakfast experience with fresh ingredients, generous portions, and excellent service. From the moment I walked in, the counter-service setup was efficient, and the food arrived quickly and piping hot. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was a pleasant surprise--naturally sweet without any sourness. I had the Chorizo Hash, which had a huge portion size and a nice presentation. The chorizo itself wasn't spicy, making it approachable if you're spice sensitive. The Fried Chicken Benedict stood out with its juicy chicken, flavorful hollandaise sauce, and a unique waffle that seemed to have a tropical twist perhaps a hint of coconut?The highlight of the meal was the Tres Leches French Toast soft, sweet, and perfectly paired with fresh berries. The light sauce reminded me of cream cheese frosting and added a touch that complemented the dish. Overall, Eggys Berkeley excels in both quality and service. Whether you're in the mood for something savory or sweet it's worth it!

5 Star Breakfast experience! We are visiting with a group of our students for Allstar Weekend. We stumbled across this hidden gem that exceeded our expectations in every way! Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a warm smile and welcomed with their vast menu of delicious food choices. We ordered the Chrurro Waffles. Amazing! The Jamon Omelette. Spectacular! The superstar of the menu was the Tres Leches French Toast! To top things off, our pallets were refreshed with a beautiful fresh squeezed berry lemonade. If you are visiting or live in the area, Eggy's is a MUST! I promise you that it will live up to the expectations!

Oh my goodness, we went to have a later lunch, turned out we found a gem of place. Food was amazing. I enjoyed a burger, best burger, EVER! All the plates looked amazing, I should have ordered two plates. Service was amazing. Friendly and place was super clean. I recommend without hesitation. A bit of a wait. Worth it.
