Came here last week when I was recovering from a cold. The inside is very bright, white and clean. There were 2 other tables inside when we arrived. I knew what I wanted to order already since I was recovering from being sick. I opted for the galbitang whereas my boyfriend got the beef short ribs. Our meals came with sides of rice and banchan. The banchan consisted mostly of veggies which I didn't mind. We did hope that they would have fish cake as a ban chan, but it was still good with just the veggies. The Galbitang was a life saver. There was a perfect amount of soup, meat, noodles and veggies inside. The soup really warmed my soul and stomach since I didn't have much of an appetite all weekend. My boyfriend enjoyed his beef short ribs. We're looking forward to trying the fried chicken next time we come. Glad to have a Korean restaurant so close to us.

We love Danbi's other location and were so excited to see them open up in South San Jose. They are located in the strip mall by Nob Hill - with plenty of parking. This location is smaller than the downtown one and has about 10-12 tables inside. The night we came they were busy, but friendly and out to-go order was ready in about 15 minutes. The food was excellent, as always! Bulgogi was perfectly cooked, fried rice well-seasoned, and all the ban chan were delicious!

We used to come here when it was Hanul. I was excited to see Danbi since I love their downtown location. We got the spicy tofu soup, Korean fried chicken & meat Jun. everything was delicious, hot and fresh! Lady at the counter was super nice. Great selection of banchan. So glad to have a yummy Korean spot in the neighborhood!

I've tried both Danbi locations (this one in Santa Teresa/south side and the other in downtown San Jose), and everything is comparable between the two. Really authentic dining experience and food quality!I came here with a group of three, and we ordered mandu, bulgogi fried rice, bulgogi with white rice, and beef sundubu jjigae. Everything was great and very filling/the portions are definitely enough and match the price!

Legit. They did not skim on flavor!!!Korean BBQ was delish. Very flavorful and juicy. Sooooo good. The kim chi was also so flavorful. Just the right amount of spice and I was told they make it daily on site. Server was very nice as well. Not sure if she owns the place but service was on point. Place was super clean and ambiance is okay. Looks like a cafeteria but it is a sit down restaurant. Reasonable price.

Just recently discovered this Danbi location in South SJ. Danbi is located in the shopping plaza near Nob Hill Grocery. There are plenty of parking spots. I came during lunch the other day and it wasn't too busy. During my visit, I ordered the hot stone pot with beef and seafood pancake. The food came out quickly and tasted great. I was told that the owner owns the DTSJ location and two Bon Chon locations. If you're coming with a larger group, the DTSJ may be a better option since this one is a bit smaller.

Its been a while since I have had a good Korean fried chicken wing. This is the spot to go! I got it spicy and it was both moist and crunchy. The meat itself was flavorful with the marinade, not just the breading was flavorful. All their side dishes tasted very fresh.During the summer, they also had a special of Mul-naengmyeon (cold noodles). My partner loved it as it was perfect for a hot day. Be warned, this is a very large portion. I wouldn't suggest getting an appetizer with this dish because its so much food. Our second time, we got the K-army stew and the soy glazed fried chicken wings again. Great flavor. The service staff were so nice and helpful and I would definitely come back.

Friendly staff. Food comes out quick. A lot of comfort food on the menu. Wish had more side dishes.Stone pot: 4.5/5. Besides the portion is just a bit on the smaller side, no complain! Ordered beef and spicy pork. Wish the spicy pork was spicier.Kalbi Tang: 4.5/5. Don't let the look deceive you. It is full of beef flavor with glass noodles.

Love that a Danbi is open near us now! More of a 3.5 than 4 right now but just thrilled to have more Korean options close by.We love Meat Jun which is Korean/Hawaiian dish that is still rare to find in the Bay. This Danbi's meat jun was on fire. Super tender beef battered and fried in an egg/scallion batter. Highly recommend.I wouldn't get the galbitang again b/c there was very little meat in the soup though the soup was good, the galbi was also slightly undercooked. Not too much, still a lot of chew but I like mine fairly soft. This is a taste preference. But it just wasn't enough meat to warrant the price tag though I know galbi is expensive.Their tofu stew has good flavor but is a bit watery for my tasty, I like more of a stew consistency.Overall better than other options and just so happy to have meat jun close to us :).
