By no means am I a Concha expert, so take this review from a person who's only have had it a few times in his life. We got the giant Concha with the big cup of coffee and it was great. For as big as the Concha was, the inside was fairly moist. You would think it would lose some of that with size but nope, it was delicious. As for the outer crust, it was nice and crunchy. It had a beautiful crackle to it.Staff were super nice and diligent. Space was clean but limited, probably four parties of four or five can fit within the indoor tables. I believe the bill came down to $85 for the giant concha and coffee? Which split between six people is about $15 each. Totally doable and totally affordable for the novelty. Would def come back here and grab a giant Concha for parties.Oh and yes they sell smaller Conchas too!

You could probably go through the Starbucks drive through five times in the time it takes the staff here to make a regular black coffee. Probably have better service as well, and that's saying a lot. Staff here have one mode of operation, and it isn't fast and friendly. Food. Overpriced and unpleasant. I had avocado toast, my husband had the BLT. The toast had a weird vinegar taste to it. Almost like something was served past its prime, sour tasting. I only had a couple bites, I was done. The BLT wasn't bad, just really not worth the price tag. We both had refreshers for beverages and they both were good, albeit way overpriced. The kicker was my husband wanted a black coffee to go after we ate. It took over ten minutes to get that. Definitely don't recommend, and with all the issues, we won't be back.

If you come here on a Saturday be prepared to wait over 40 minutes for a basic coffee Starbucks makes better.Unfortunately the ambiance is nice but the food and quality of drinks is not there. I'd like to see where they get the products from the brand Natures best is that the half and half milk is low quality!

I visited this location for the first time yesterday and was left disappointed. One major issue was the lack of a phone number to contact the location, which could have saved me time and frustration. My wife had pre-ordered a Rosca de Reyes through social media, but when we arrived, we were met with several problems. The parking was nonexistent, the line was long, and the menu was limited. To make matters worse, they didn't have the Rosca de Reyes we had ordered and paid for. The staff informed us that they outsource their baking to a third-party vendor, and the delivery was running late.As someone who values authentic food and good service, I was disappointed by the experience. If you're looking for authentic baked goods made to order, you might want to consider an alternative.I'd recommend checking out Pink Elephant, which is just a 10-minute drive away. They offer instant service, a wider menu, and delicious Champurado.Overall, my experience at this location was disappointing, and I would caution others to be aware of the potential "issues."

Well damn! This place needs to be on your "Things to do in San Jose" list. The drinks are the best "Mexican flavored" themed drinks I've ever had. I had their mazapan latte with oat milk. Wow! Best ever. The chai is made from real chai tea, not some syrupy concentrate. Their cafe de olla is slightly sweet and still has plenty of coffee flavor and their pepino con limon agua...dude. It's perfect! I hate to gush over everything but their service was also wonderful and the atmosphere of the place was just as great. Seriously. Come here. Buy everything and walk away happy. I'd drive 6hrs from LA just for mazapan latte.

We stopped by Con Azúcar while visiting family in San Jose, and it was such a great find! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming! There was a line out the door when we arrived and the wait was totally worth it--both the food and coffee were absolutely delicious! The café itself is beautifully decorated, and you can really appreciate the artistry in both the food presentation and the decor. It has such a warm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for a cozy stop during our trip. I'll definitely be coming back next time we're in town! Highly recommend!

My wife and sister dragged us from SF to check this IG place out. What you don't see on IG is that it's seriously lacking seating, which doesn't make sense because they do in fact serve giant concha's ($44) and a giant bowl of coffee ($40). This is a local HANG OUT spot, so the few tables available were taken by locals with laptops. We waited for a while and left frustrated. I suggested they set a time limit on weekends, as we were not the only ones standing around waiting. Over-hyped and over rated by social media for a photogenic gimmick.

If you're looking for a cute and IG girly photo-op café in downtown San Jose, Con Azucar Cafe is a must-visit! The decor is adorable, with vibrant colored flowers, charming accents, and even a swing that makes for the perfect Instagram selfie. Seriously, I couldn't resist snapping a few pics of myself on the swing (sorry, I didn't upload it here lol)!We decided to check it out on a Sunday afternoon after hearing rave reviews about their HUGE Conchas and, more importantly for my sister, the HUGE cup of Abuelita Hot Chocolate--which is a whopping $50! When it arrived, we were amazed to see it served in a massive café mug that could practically TRIPLE as a soup bowl. It was rich, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet, pairing perfectly with the delicious Concha slices we ordered. Since we were taking the Concha home for our parents, we couldn't resist sneaking a little taste of it before handing it over. Honestly, it was hard to share!A downside was that the tables had not been cleaned properly, still bearing remnants of previous customers' trash and food mess, which we ended up tidying up ourselves. Service was overall good as they were friendly.Con Azucar Cafe is a decent spot if you're in the mood for larger-than-life drink portions and a cute atmosphere. Whether you're grabbing avocado toast, sandwiches, or pastries, you'll find something to satisfy your cravings.

Ahhh, so much love for this place! I'll start by saying it's conveniently placed on a corner in downtown SJ with tons of street parking surrounding. When you enter the, the ambiance is vibrant and welcoming. So now down to the food and drinks. The drinks are phenomenal and pretty authentic too when it comes to their cafe de olla and horchata latte (favorite). The pan dulce is always yummy and I had a friend try their torta and had great things to say. The workers move quick to get all their orders out in a timely manner, but it does get pretty busy here so try and come during an off time!
