Just an update since Christy's has since changed owners. Rest assured, it's the same charming mom and pop shop it's been for decades. The French custards are still as delicious as ever! I don't know what kind of architectural magic they put in the donut but it didn't get soggy in the fridge even after 2 days. Also, I think they also changed the cream inside so it's creamier and richer. Overall, still my go-to place for donut treats.

The store owners secretly add in sub charges or inflate donut prices during the transaction. On their menu they posted for $18 per regular dozen donut. Indeed they charge $20 for every regular dozen donuts. When asked why is not being charged for $18 then the owners both said they charge service fee and box fee. At the end my two boxes of regular dozen is $40/ paid in cash. Just like few other previous reviews that this Christy's Donut place likes to "secretly" charge a lot much more than what they advertise on their menus. Extra $4 for every two regular dozen of donuts (glazed and chocolate covered) are not much but it is the honesty and integrity principles. I can treat that $4 extra as a tip. If you cannot compete with other local bakery shops for less price and better quality, why not be honest to all you customers that each regular donut is $1.85/each or $20 per dozen instead of being sneaky and cunning...all other donut pastry shops provide boxes and packages without adding extra fees or tips to their clients. Most people would not ever repurchase from your shop again because of your dishonesty and overcharging to many other customers! Probably some customers would not ever know if they were being overcharged extra few dollars when in the rush for donuts during rush hours. Next time I would just go to Krispy Crème for donuts and coffee.

If you're Cambodian, you're probably well aware of the impact donut shops had in our communities. In my efforts to learn about my parents' journey I learned that my dad and uncle had managed their own Christy's with the help of the Donut King, Ted Ngoy. Particularly this location was one that my dad mentioned my uncle managed/worked at in the 80s. Plenty of seats inside and some outside too. Clean and simple decor! I'm really shy so I didn't really make too much interaction but when I came in there was a trickle of customers who seem to be regulars. The staff at the front who I think was a mom and daughter duo were friendly and welcoming. We ordered half a dozen donuts - my parents like maple bars, french crullers, regular glazed donuts so I made sure to get those. I also got donut holes and they had cream filled ones which are DELICIOUS. The dough was airy but had a nice texture and the custard cream filling was so good. I think their pricing is pretty decent too so I am definitely coming back.

With so many donuts shops there's a few that's on my top list and Christy Donuts is one that I've been going to for the past five years. There seems to be a change of ownership and the couple that runs the shop are super nice and always greets their customers. I've had bagels, donuts and coffee prices are far than its competitors. Came by on a Thursday afternoon and I was the only customer a good place to dine-in unlike the one in Milpitas with limited seating. Best to come by early in the morning since they're open at 4:30 avoid coming by late in the afternoon. Their mocha is top notch along with the donuts prefer custard holes are the best. Definitely a place to dine with friends!

Creamed filled Donuts on crack! Hahaha So addictive! The place has been here awhile so the furniture was a little outdated but I believe everyone gets things to go anyway. The owners were super nice and friendly as we came in. We came a little late towards when they were going to close, about an hour before closing but we asked if they still had creamed filled donuts as we're craving and they said, "Yes we do! How many you need?" So glad we came! This is more rating for donut holes and customer service. The best cream filled custard donut holes! So much cream in it! Loved it! Thanks for sharing having it available for us! We will try the other donuts and sandwiches next time... We will be back! [24R,2024]

The highlight of this place is the service and ambiance. I've only tried the breakfast croissants, but the food is not really special, not cheap but not excessively expensive either. The staff seemed happy to serve on an early Saturday morning. The ambiance is very retro and old-school. You order at the counter and can take your food to-go or eat at their old-school styled booths. Parking is a breeze with plenty of parking in the lot. Food 3.75/5, Service 4.5/5, Ambiance 4.5/5

Love this mom and pop shop! I always come here for my donut cravings and it's never too crowded in the mornings. There are plenty of tables to sit and it's generally pretty quiet. Highly recommend supporting this local business! My go-to is a dozen donut holes, but the custard-filled donut holes are awesome too. Always been a nice place to visit and I'll be coming back again soon.

Croissant sandwiches are big! At least portion wise, it seems like 8 dollars is a reasonable spend for a decently filling breakfast sandwich. However, the croissant itself is not special; it was more on the doughy as opposed to flaky side of croissants, so although the buttery goodness came through, I felt like the sandwich lacked texture through crunch. The nice lady here at 7 AM on a Saturday was very kind and she smiled a lot, which was a joy to see on an early morning. There's a lot of seating inside; although the store is not fancy by any means, I could see it be a local shop frequented by breakfast regulars.

THE BEST donut place in my area. I absolutely love the custard donut holes. They are by far the best donuts I've ever had in my life. I'm telling you, the custard donut holes are better than beard papa. The service is great! They prefer cash since it is a local business so if you can I would bring cash but they do have a card reader for card payments. The donuts are always fully stocked and it is a very chill environment.
