Chicken G's

Great neighborhood location with gigantic fried chicken sandwiches. The sandwiches are delicious and can last me two meals. The sides - fries, coleslaw, mac and cheese, are solid as well. They are also open later and one of the few places I see people late at night in Mountain View.

Great chicken, crispy, moist and well cooked. Th e coleslaw was really good. The Mac and cheese side was just ok, the sauce was too thick and I disliked the breading thrown on the top. The only thing I didn't like were the thick, mayo-based sauces, both the house sauce and the garlic one. Ordered via DoorDash so I have comment on ambiance or service

Convenient and opens super late, making it a great place to get a quick bite late at night! I've only tried one of their sandwiches and it is crazy, crazy spicy with the sheer amount of jalapeños they've wedged in. Still, there's the fresh kick to it so I can convince myself it's "healthier" and the price is also difficult to say no to. I've only picked up food from here, so I cannot share much about the service and ambiance inside.

I would describe this place as wasted potential. The chicken, just the chicken, is well seasoned and crispy and delicious and generous. But then they put that delicious piece of chicken in between a cold bun with the texture of wonder bread....then they skimp out on the sauce making the burger dry. (If you ask for more sauce you have to pay for it). The Mac and cheese has initial good flavor but it's so soupy and after a while you get sick of it. The fries are not seasoned evenly and also unevenly fried. I think this used to be a really good place but I think they just stopped...caring. The guy working at the time was either in a bad mood or just didn't care at all. Barely spoke to us and just...grunted? It was so dirty everywhere. All the tables and chairs had not been wiped down (there was nobody inside), there was trash on the floor, the self service station was dirty and sticky with ketchup sprayed everywhere. The same hands that handled the register touched the food...A pretty disappointing experience overall.

Chicken sandwich and fries please! Can never go wrong ordering these two from here. The chicken is always so cripsy juicy and big!! Fries are well seasoned and flavorful! The service is always pretty great and food comes out fast even though its made to order. Beats a popeye's chicken sandwich thats for sure!! 10/10 would recommend!!

My husband has been wanting to try this place for the longest time and we finally made our way here last week with the kids. We got a Friends Meal (4 thighs + 4 drums) with 3 toasts & 3 sides (mac + cheese / fries / coleslaw). The chicken is definitely VERY freshly fried and the coleslaw is one of the best I have had in a long time! The mac + cheese, though, is weirdly goopy...The person at the counter was initially very un-friendly/awkward and later another person took over and he was much more friendly and helpful. The parking lot is extremely small & there is a small restroom outside behind the back.Overall, their friend chicken is really good - will definitely want to go again to try the sandwiches next time!

Super casual spot with several locations in the Bay Area (Fremont, SF, and Mountain View) serving halal fried chicken dishes. While the majority of their business is take out or to go, there are several tables for indoor dining. We opted for both the Naughty Chick (spicy fried chicken sandwich) and the Combo 1 (fried chicken with French fries). Both items are fried to order and the seasoning as well as the batter are fantastic. They serve all entrees with a mayo based dipping sauce that comes in regular and mildly spicy. All, this is a great place for late night, affordable and tasty eats. Limited indoor dining available. Credit cards accepted.

We ordered takeout and the chicken and batter tasted unseasoned to us and the fries were completely limp and tasteless. Can't understand the hype around this place.

Alright... How do I get started.... I had Chicken G's for the first time back in November of 2022. A friend's chiropractor had actually recommended it to him and he convinced me to try it with him. Now I must say, I had given the Big G and the fries a 6.5 out of 10. But let me tell you. I have never, EVER, craved something as bad as this chicken place after trying it and giving it a mediocre score. I've been an avid fan ever since. This review might sound like a shitpost, but when I tell you I have visited almost all Chicken G's, wether that'd be the Mountain View location, the San Francisco Location, and even the Fremont location for a REASON (might I add that they have a Chicken G's in Bakersfield, but I have never had the chance to go there, sadly), Its because this Chicken spot fucks. Hard. If your little boy balls quake at the sight of a big sandwhich, sure this place might not be for you. But let me tell you this. If you are looking for a place where quality and quantity come together; This is it. I don't care if the employees spit on my face and tell me to get out of their store; If I leave with my order intact and perfect, it makes up for any customer service. The ambiance is cool. It's also awesome that the meat is very juice and it is also dark meat. It is also Halal. I put on my Muslim friend onto this place and he thought I was overexgerating. I was not. When I eat Chicken Gs, I look like I have an active eating disorder, the way I devour whatever is in front of me when I'm sat at their restaurant. This place has made food like Chick fil A feel like child's play. Go into it with an open mind like I did a couple years ago, and let your mouth be blessed.

that chicken was born to be a sandwich. come here to experience true joy and find new purpose. this is a holy light in the hell of bakersfield. i love you chicken g's
