Ceron is a fantastic restaurant with the ten out to Alameda! Apps were great, crab cakes were crispy and tasty without being too seafood-y, calamari and Am Wag sliders were great as well.I ordered the seafood fettuccine and had about half of my friend's ribeye steak. I typically don't order steak bc I'm partial to my own steaks, but their ribeye was perfect. Slightly crispy crunchy crust and perfect texture for the rest. Flavored lightly enough to let the beef's flavor shine through, but with enough seasoning so that is not too plain. My pasta was amazing...the prawns and scallops were huge and seared perfect . White wine cream sauce was perfect.... Creamy but not too heavy.I'll be back sometime to report on more of their offerings!

WHEN: Sun @11:30amPARKING: They have their own free parking lot in the back! Enter through Pacific Ave.RESTROOM: Dark with 3 stalls. Lots of tampons and pads out for free and up for grabs. Toilets are hard to flush so I can see why some people just don't. Mirrors are placed way too high it's practically useless. I made reservations here for my birthday on Valentine's Day weekend with my 3 friends. This place is HUGE but to my surprise it's hardly busy. The hostess was amazing, but our server didn't seem very warm. Maybe we annoyed him asking him to take photos of us. It was nice they both wished me Happy Birthday since I made that note on the reservations. It was brunch and it was hard finding the breakfast beverage menu...which was tucked in the middle of the drink menu past all the alcoholic beverages. We told our server that we will be doing family style dining and ordered:MAIN LOBSTER TAIL & AVOCADO BENEDICT - $32Country Potatoes, Toasted English Muffin & Hollandaise. This was good and the country potatoes also had bell peppers and onions. A solid dish with a single hunk of the lobster on each English muffin.DUNGENESS CRAB & BROKAW AVOCADO - $26Summer Citrus, Parsley Oil, Lime Aioli & Buckwheat TuileThis was definitely more like small appetizer. It was refreshing with he sweet oranges slice, and very well presented.ZUCCHINI FRITTERS - $17Sweet Silver Queen Corn w/Pasilla Peppers, Chipotle Aiole & CotijaI wish the server told us this dish only comes in 3 pieces. We would have paid more for a 4th since we did say we will eat family style. I've see restaurants do this before. It tasted fine, like little tiny mini crab cakes...but without the crab. 3 pieces for $17 ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND.CHICKEN & WAFFLE - $22Comes w/Spicy Syrup.Heavily seasoned and salty white meat. The waffle was soft. Nothing special. Skip.We were all still hungry and ordered more food:BUTTERMILK CHIVE BISCUITS - $15Comes w/Honey Butter that has sea salt flakes on top.Only comes in 3. We should have known and asked how many pieces this comes with. Yummy biscuits but they are SO TINY. $15!?!?! It's like a sample. The butter was nice.PARMESAN TEMPURA BRUSSELS SPROUTS - $18Comes w/ Chipotle Aioli. These were fun and yummy. Didn't know it came with a dipping sauce until we were halfway done with it. I enjoyed these! Not gonna lie, I was disappointed there was not a birthday treat like I read on yelp. This place is lovely (I guess), the food was decent for the most part, but I didn't like the price. This place wasn't for me.

Ceron Kitchen is another wonderful restaurant choice in Alameda. This city's got plenty of local places serving up some tasty grub. How do they all stay in business? Anyways Ceron Kitchen looks good both outside and inside. Nice size parking lot. Outdoor dining and indoor dining available. We dined inside. My sister smartly made reservations ahead of time. Thank goodness because by the time we left they were busy busy busy! Our party of about 13 were the first ones at the restauarant. The place looked terrific!! So clean and charming!!I believe their menu is constantly changing so some of the food that I mention may not be available when you are here. Most everything I tried, though, tasted really good!! This included my drink which came in a pig shaped glass. Very cool!! My favorite appetizers were the Buttermilk Chive Biscuits, the Calamari Fritto, and the American Wagyu Beef Sliders!! My entree choice was the Niman Ranch Burger. It was a good 4 star burger. My expectations may have been too high. I expected the burger to taste better than my favorite hometown burger spot, but Ceron Kitchen's fell short of that. Still good though! I wish that I had chosen one of the many other entrees available that evening. So many of the others in our group were raving about their entrees!!!!Definitely patronize Ceron Kitchen! We all had a really good time at their place!

I've been here twice, once for my sister's birthday and the latest time where my boyfriend took us here for our anniversary! The ambiance here is excellent and very sexy. The servers here are also very nice! However, I wish there were more goodies for celebrations. I was disappointed in that aspect and felt like it was any typical dinner. However we still had a good time because the food was excellent! The wagyu tartare was good but it really should come with more than 2 breads! The star of the show was the pork chop! Me and my boyfriend was blown away by how delicious this dish was! The sauce, the apples, were paired wonderfully. My boyfriend's steak was also great!

Visited Ceron with 3 friends for Saturday brunch. Place opens at 10am and was empty...it's unfortunate as the interior is beautiful and aesthetically gorgeous (Modern Mission style) from the former business (Otaez Mexican Restaurant). *sigh* The vibe almost transports you to dining in the City without going across the bridge and circling for parking. The menu is creative and interesting so plenty of items to try. Options for brunch: eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, simple breakfast with coffee cake and sandwiches. I opted for the French dip sandwich which was presented well and enjoyed the accompanying potato salad. Though good I probably wouldn't order again and try a seafood dish .Friends enjoyed their dishes and what really finished off the meal was the chocolate silk dessert. Light chocolate mousse with a chocolate-crust with varying textures of chocolate gelato, candied hazelnut and chocolate tuile. Our server/host was the Owner/Executive Chef Juan Jaquez - very welcoming, engaging, and mentioned he formerly was head chef at Paradiso, San Leandro for 15 years....i knew the food was different after the pandemic and time he left to open Ceron! I really enjoyed the food when he was there and will have to return to Ceron to try their dinner service. Service was efficient and attentive even after more people arrived.Place is a great venue for a special occasion and meet up with friends. I'd definitely return to try some of their appetizers and eyeing the Berkshire Pork chop. Everything looks delicious albeit pricing on the higher side with like spots. Nevertheless, I'll give it a try if Juan is in charge of dinner service! :) Parking lot in back with metered street parking. Outdoor patio up front (facing Webster) and bar area is great when weather permits or if you have a pet. Highly recommend visiting Ceron!

I've been to this location before, but when it used to be a restaurant called Otaez. I could hardly recognize the interior - whoever took over and created Ceron did an absolutely amazing job of truly making this place their own. The interior feels fresh and bright and it looks sophisticated without being stiff/stuffy. It was the perfect setting for our 9-person gathering and at 1 PM on a Wednesday afternoon, there were some other parties in the restaurant, but we eventually became the only ones there. I completely forgot that this place has parking in the back and paid for a metered spot outside, but next time around, I will be parking in their lot. Do not, though, make the mistake of parking in the lot adjacent to the front of the restaurant because that belongs to an auto body shop.Their weekday lunch menu, not sure if it differs from weekends, gave a good breadth of choices, but wasn't Cheesecake Factory overwhelming. We got wedge salads, brussels sprouts, and calamari for appetizers and all three were things I would get again. The main standout, though, were the brussels sprouts which were breaded and fried. I probably would have liked brussels sprouts a lot sooner in my life if they were served to me like that as a child. A number of people in our party opted for the more breakfast/brunch lunch options, but I zeroed in on the bolognese when I first glanced at the menu. When the waitress came around again, I stuck to that order and was really pleased with my choice. I didn't get the name of our waitress, but they were very attentive and accommodating. She honestly must have had to refill my water glass alone more than five times (still in nursing mom mode!) and she was also willing to help us take group photos at the end of the meal. All in all, we had a really great time at Ceron and would definitely come back. The ambiance, food, and service make this is a great choice for any occasion.

Came here for a friend's birthday on a Tuesday night around 7pm and when we walked in, it was pretty empty. The restaurant itself is really fancy and spacious, definitely one of the nicer looking restaurants in Alameda. Now to the menu. The dinner menu was pretty small and it was pretty expensive for what they were serving. Most entrees were over $50. We ordered duck liver, Brussels sprouts, calamari grotto, and bone marrow & beef tartare for appetizers, and 2 tomahawks and a duck breast for entrees.Duck Liver 2/5: I really wanted to like this, but the jam was overpowering and I can only taste sweet. it did have a beautiful presentation though.Brussels sprouts 4/5: I have never had fried Brussels sprouts and they were pretty good. It was crunchy but not too doughy.Calamari Fritto 3/5: pretty average, nothing too exciting.Bone Marrow & Beef tartare 3/5: pretty big bone marrow. Wish the bread was better toasted. The tartare could use a bit more salt.Tomahawk 3/5: pretty average. Duck breast 4/5: I was pleasantly surprised with this entree. Duck was very tender and flavorful. It paired wonderfully with the mushroom. LOVED the fried mushroom, perfect breading!Overall pretty average food for dinner, however if you are in the area and don't want to drive too far, this could be a good option.

A pretty interior with a warm hospitality and reasonably good service. The 4 stars that tendIt has a really pretty interior with warm hospitality and reasonably good service. to be given here is usually because the dishes are uneven - meaning some are fabulous, like their crab and avocado omelette. Other things are in the fair-to-middle category, like their lobster roll, which is described accurately, and so similar to an East Coast version you'll simply wonder about the price markup to bring it to the West Coast. Beef Tartare wask good, but I'm not sure caviar is in the same category as the absent quail egg. The clam chowder seemed a bit too watery, but the flavor was good with pancetta making a good pairing with the clams. The place is usually very quiet at lunch time, especially on weekends, so you can have your run of this rather massive place that has really decent parking.

I had a work lunch reserved for last Thursday. We arrived and saw that the restaurant was closed with a sign that there was a private event. We knocked and my boss's boss showed them her phone where it just texted her yesterday asking to confirm the reservation (date was correct) and she had confirmed. She also made this reservation weeks ago. The person there said they couldn't accommodate and they weren't open to the public today. He asked if we booked on Yelp because there were some glitches, and she had booked directly on their website. Very disappointing that they would be so disorganized as to allow people to make reservations weeks in advance and not even follow up, AND send out an automated confirmation text the day before. I can't review this place for the food because I'll never come back and check it out lol.
