"Orale is next to my barbershop, so decided to stop by for a quick lunch.I ordered a California Burrito. Its been awhile since I've had one and I completely forgot that it meant fries replaced the rice haha. Nonetheless, it was pretty good. Salsas were good. Staff was friendly and they have a pretty good list of beers on tap. Will be back to try their steak burritos and tacos in the future! Parking available in the plaza. They have outdoor seating as well."
"Cute little diner with tons of options. Def worth the visit especially if you are out of state!I ordered the french toast meal which comes with two slices, eggs, and bacon. Very yummy and decently priced!I also ordered a vanilla latte but they brought me out this gigantic fun drink! Not what I was expecting at all and I would def order it again lol! So cute and yummy!! The service was super speedy. Very nice servers as well!"

"Okay so let's be honest the first time I tried this spot it was just meh! So we have it some time to come into its own and let's just say it's come a long long way! The food is extra delicious now! I got the carne asada burrito and while it's not SoCal approved lol it's definitely running a close second I can't even lie. They also have delicious refried beans which I feel like is not a staple up here. You can't always find them especially not good ones. So that made the burrito even more delicious! And whatever is in that green salsa is addicting!! Writing this review has me wanting to go back right now lol! Staff is super friendly and they are really patient which I appreciate always because so many people these days are impatient. Thanks Rico Rico I'll be back again soon!"
"The pictures looked amazing but I wasn't sure what to expect when I followed my GPS to the location inside a bar. Walked in and to a window in the back with some friends to place our order. The food is presented just as beautiful as the photos and I'm so glad I didn't let the location deter me because the food was amazing! The fish tacos are crispy, huge and just YUM. The shrimp was also sooo delicious. Everything was super fresh and our first visit went so well that one of my friends actually hired them right away for a catering gig (spoiler alert, it went awesome and the food was just as amazing at the event). I dream of the fish tacos and have gone back already -- this is officially a regular on my rotation."
"Honestly one of the most interesting fusion places I've been to but in an incredibly good way - where else can you get REALLY good boba AND Mexican food in the same spot? There are even rare flavors you don't see in some other places, like Horchata boba tea and Tofu burritos!I'm always helped by wonderful customer service and tend to get my food fast and fresh. If you're dining in, come during times outside of lunchtime - it will get busy:) But that means people love it!"
"We were looking for Mexican food locally and found this spot based on Yelp reviews and decided to give it a try. Placed a pick up order online 5 items roughly $65! But worth it, the food was good and filling! My husband went to pick up the food and was surprised to see that no one was inside and it looked pretty much closed but to our surprise we enjoyed our dinner and leftovers for lunch the next day."
"LOVETacos! Spicy shrimp with soy chorizo. Carne asada. The man who works here is so sweet and friendly.LIKEBarbacoa.El Califas style -- cheese sandwiched between the tortillas. Heavy, but delicious.Picnic tables, in sun and shade.MEHIt's a food truck in a gas station parking lot, so if you're looking for ambiance, this ain't it."
"This is a goto place for uncomplicated good eats.I have a few places downtown that are always good on the taste buds when all else fails, and this is one of them. Many of my favorite spots have closed or changed business hours so I can't frequent them these days. I came across this place a few months back and they haven't failed me so far. Formerly CamBurger it's under new ownership, with new food and a cool new interior. My favorite item on the menu is the Baja fish tacos (love them!), I've also had the chicken wings, shrimp over rice & the Garlic noble shrimp which are all great. That staff is pretty cool & fully friend which goes a long way in Oakland or anywhere. The interior is clean, well decorated and has a plush plant vibe going on.Cheers!"
"Live music on Wednesday and great beer! What more do you need?Great place to come and grab a beer, hangout and snack on light bites."
""Visit Oakland" put out a list of the best taco trucks in Oakland and I am slowly making my way through the list. Last week I made a lunch stop at La Grana Fish. They are known for their queso-birria, although the real star of the show is a lightly battered baja fish taco, that is fried to a golden brown topped with thinly sliced cabbage, pico de gallo and an addictive chipotle crema. I also ordered the pineapple and spinach agua fresca to wash it all down. It was the perfect lunch meal. Seating is spacious with a laid-back brewery feel. It was a chilly fall day but the sun was out and I enjoyed sitting in the mostly empty patio. Staff was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed."
"Food -- was phenomenal! Eveything was hot and fresh. Very tasty and flavorful. Very authentic birria tacos. The taste was very much so there. Service -- the service was amazing! The lady was by herself handling the register and making food. 2 of her employees called off but not once did she complain. She handled that very well but did let customers know she was working alone for time purposes. She was great! Very attentive to everyone's needs and made sure everyone's food made it out promptly. Ambiance -- I loved the location and the ambiance of the restutant. It's located in West Oakland near train tracks and there's a brewery next door. Tons of parking. The inside is very pretty. Decorations and paintings inside. Love love this place! Def recommend people who want amazing birria. Oh and the churros are DELICIOUS! Yummm"
"First time takeout for burritos here. The restaurant is just a store front down the street from the multiplex theater. Parked in the municipal lot across the street. Guy behind the counter was very friendly. Burritos were really good. I liked the fact that the flour burritos were quickly heated up on the grill before wrapping the contents. Nice touch.I'd eat here again."

Honestly one of the best burritos I've ever had and they had salmon as an option. Paired with the orange salsa is perfect, no notes

We wanted burritos. Good burritos. We are a family that loves burritos. We came upon Rico Rico by chance, I ordered online and my husband picked up on his way home. I think it may have been for me, the best burrito I've had. Ever. We got two pollo asado burritos and one carnitas. The chicken was plentiful, generous sized pieces perfectly cooked and seasoned. The avocado salsa was so delicious I wanted more!! The portion was generous and the price was very reasonable. My husbands carnitas was tender well cooked, and not fatty. The beans were amazing. Black beans were flavorful and tender. The Fritos beans were delicious. The tortillas were texturally amazing. Good clover tender with some tug when biting into it. Really really good. Like super good. They were ready quickly and piping hot when they got home. So I would say to go service at lunchtime was awesome!

SHAZAAAM!! This place is a hidden gem. Walk into Stevie's Bar and order one of the best bowls (tacos, sandwich...) EVER! I had the shrimp bowl (had to hold the fries and crema, but they would be MAGICAL)! It's fresh, flavorful, filling, and fun! Loved the attitude and generosity of the guy who took my order and fixed my to-go lunch. He's a pro and I wouldn't be surprised if he's the owner. I couldn't stay and play, but the place looks highly entertaining - including pool tables. Also, and this is KEY, the place is VERY CLEAN!! THANK YOU!!

Just had this as our friday lunch treat at work. I have to say i wasn't sure what to expect..."tacos with boba". Honestly i kind of expected the tacos to be fusion, with some asian twist, but not the case at all, straight forward, standard mexican food, except with the BOBA drinks being more of a fusion hybrid with the HORCHATA in a variety of flavors.Sounded kinda gross, but in reality, the one i tried which was mango horchata with mango popping boba and egg pudding was actually the best thing in the meal.I 'm very sorry to say that the meat, while nicely flavored and cooked (if not slightly overcooked), was terribly dry..and with zero salsa or any kind of moisture on the taco's, that just really made the meat SUPER dry. Shame too, but because the meet portions were actually really nice...so portioningw was a positive for me too. My experience was the steak and chorizo (and wanted fish, but no go). They didn't have the fish they advertise on the site, which as you'll read below, had other issues as well. I didn't hate it, i was able to, and for sure DID eat it all. But I know now not to go there for the food... The Boba is another story though...those were creative interesting and delish! The other thing that is a negative, is they are either misrepresenting their pricing or they are just bad about updating their pricing online, neither of which is a good thing, though one could be way worse than the other. The tacos are listed as a flat $3 and the bobas are listed to come with TWO free toppings, but in fact, that was not how it was... tacos were $3.50 each and only ONE free topping on the boba... So i'd say they need to really prioritize correcting that misleading information, or risk being perceived as dishonest and DELIBERATELY misrepresenting their prices to bring in the traffic, figuring once people are there, they won't fuss about .50 per taco or one less free topping on a boba. Overall though, the only thing that was a pleasant surprise and that did actually impress me as being better than what i've had elsewhere thus far, was the horchata boba...The rest, i can easily find ANY number of other taquerias that serve infinitely better food (if not necessarily portions). As an example... a place i've had twice now and both were AMAZING? Birra Patro Jaramillo...a taqueria that specializes in Birria and many other mexican dishes. Their flan is amazing there too, excellent friendly service etc...so if mexican FOOD is higher on your list than the intriguing boba? I'd say skip this place and go there.

Located behind the alliance gas station on Mathilda.El Califas Tacos is a taco truck that has pretty good tacos for the area. The "El Califas" tacos are cooked with a layer of melted cheese in the middle which is pretty unique to them. They have lots of meat choices as wellThe horchata was a also pretty good which comes in a bottle and makes it easier to shake/mix and drink.Plenty of tables outside for you to sit and eat it fresh but parking is limitedWould highly recommend checking it out and ask for extra salsa!

Great spot for lunch. They were busy but the food came out quickly. Tried the impossible lumpia, nacho fries with chicken and a Baja shrimp taco. All the food was delicious and flavorful. There's metered street parking in the area, you may have more luck on smaller side streets, also saw some parking garages in the area.

"Our first visit was a 5 star experience with goat birria plate, birria plate, and the chicken and shrimp taco Tuesday special. Everything was on point that we came back for takeout just a few weeks later. The goat birria was still delicious and the birria tacos were great but the shrimp in the Taco Tuesday taco was so tiny (1/5 of the size of the orignial) that it reminded me more of shrimp salad sized shrimps. Our third visit, we were told after we ordered that they were out of the goat birria so we tried the Mediterranean side with the mix plate. Nice that their mediterranean side is as good as their Mexican side. Our most recent visit was more of a 3 star as we noticed that the offerings for Taco Tuesday no longer has the shrimp which given the size of them last time, probably for the best. Was disappointed that their goat birria is no longer offered daily, so we tried the birria ramen. Didn't realize the ramen was Tapacio ramen similar to Cup O Noodle so was thirsty all night.Over four visits, it's a bit of a hit or miss at this point so more of a 3 1/2 star overall now especially if the goat birria is not available daily now but bumping up to 4 since their employees are friendly.and their birria tacos are still worth coming in for."
"I've been craving some good Mexican food for awhile, but wanted to try something new. Decided to try and this spot and it was well worth it. Had the beef tongue burrito and man each bite oozed flavor and great taste. Worth every penny and in the end you will feel satisfied. We also had some some tacos, empanada, and a quesadilla. Overall, everything was fantastic, and will come again."
"At this location, I've only had take-out but I've been to their other locations before so I know the Mexican food here is good. Huge plus bc this location is a lot closer to me. The first time around, I ordered carne asada fries and it was so good! For 2 people, it definitely was a shareable portion but bc of how tasty it was, we were wanting more. I like how unique the fries were cut/shaved, it's almost like shaving the skin off an apple in a spiral motion. I also like how fresh the pico de gallo and avocado toppings were. Unfortunately, 2nd time around it was a huge dud. The carne asada meat was well over cooked and dry, the fries were cut thicker so it was very potatoey, and there wasn't enough sour cream. We also got a carne asada torta, which was mid. The buns were a bit stale and again the carne asada meat was dry. Hoping it was just an off day and looking forward to dining in to get a better experience. They also have a huge tv which is perfect for game days."
"It was ok. Food seemed expensive and it was weird there aren't clear prices posted for the most popular items. I will say there was a LOT of meat, so relative to value it's good. Overall I just found it a bit underwhelming. It was surprisingly bland. We got the quesabirria and a birria ramen. The quesabirria had a ton of meat... like an impressive amount! I wish there was more cheese though and would have like the tortillas cooked to be crispy (or at least crispier). They were way too floppy for my taste. I'd try it again if I was in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way again to go back."
"3.5 starsOrdered thru DoorDash. They did the packaging pretty nicely , and packed each salsa flavor and the cooked onions and lime wedges to go with the tacos. Got two Al pastor and one chicharone flavor for the tacos. The chicharones was kind of soggy , I thought it would be crispy like the chip so it was a bit of a let down. The Al pastor was alright, the variety of salsas provided was very nice. The light green flavor avocado salsa was my favorite one and the light orange colored salsa was surprisingly spicy."
"Just a quick little update! 5 Tacos And Beers, Never disappoints! Every time we come here the food is always on point. The staff are so welcoming, hospitality at its finest. I did a recap for my husbands birthday. The restaurants team came out with a flan surprise. So nice ! The whole team at 5 Tacos And Beers are top notch at its finest. Yeimith is the best bartender! Hibiscus martini !! yummy. The whole Staff team, from Robin, Yesenia, Yeimith and others such great customer service."
"Another first timer and it was a great experience. Tacos El Chore is a taco truck parked by the park, which proved to be a hidden gem of flavor and authenticity, despite a few logistical challenges.Let's talk about the parking. It's a bit complicated with limited space near the truck. Side parking is a must, and if luck isn't on your side, you might find yourself parking on the other side of the park, which isn't too bad but requires a short walk. However, don't let this deter you; the experience that you get is well worth the effort. They have a variety of food with a variety of meats so it's perfect for those that can only eat certain meats (like my mom). It was a bit overwhelming since there were so many options but it does help that they list the ingredients they have, which made it easier to choose. In the end, we choose the birria pizza and asada fries. They were both amazing and left us happily full. I barely made a dent with the fries, it still looks full (haha). You definitely need more than 3 people to finish! The flavors were authentic and bold, a testament to the truck's commitment to quality ingredients and skillful preparation.Given the limited space around the truck, Tacos El Chore is more of a to-go spot. No seating is available, making it an ideal place for a quick grab-and-go feast. On colder days, eating in the car might be the best bet. Sadly, we couldn't eat in the car since we had the pizza but even when it got a bit cold (since we live a bit far), it was great! For those fortunate enough to live closer, consider this a bonus - a taco haven practically at your doorstep. The outstanding food quality and the convenience of a quick, flavorful meal overshadow the inconvenience of parking. This is a must-try for taco enthusiasts. Whether you're a local or willing to make a short trip, this taco truck is well worth the journey. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!"
"Giving them a few months to settle in before I make a stronger decision on the restaurant. We waited 25 minutes for our order of 2 burrito bowls and 4 street tacos. It wasn't too busy, but this was just the first week. Unfortunately the taco order was completely wrong and we didn't notice until we got home and opened the food up. Even though the taqueria is close by, we didn't have time to wait another half hour for them to fix it. Carne asada is the stand out protein. The pollo, rice, and beans could use a blast of flavor. $5 a taco is a lot and hurts more of your order is wrong."
"Best carnitas I've ever had outside of Mexico. You HAVE to get the combos. That's the best bang for your buck, also get the carnitas MIXTAS. Straight fire. Their house salsa is so good too. Estás carnitas son las carnitas más deliciosas que e comido fuera de México. Vivo en San Francisco y vengo hasta Hayward a comprar estas carnitas mixtas."
"La Orizabena is parked in front of Coach's bar. it can be easily missed as Fremont Blvd. takes a rounded turn and one's attention is fixated on the road, not the address. eye catching design of truck will signal their location.offerings: tacos, burritos, antojitos (sopes. huarache, nachos, flauntas, tostadas, choripaps, enpanadas), tortas, quesadillas, platos, specials.eats: al pastor, suadero, lengua tacos (3, 3, 3.50)-ample amount of protein for pastor & suadero. lengua pricier, had the least amount. lengua was moist, slightly juicy, pastor dry & fried. suadero flakey , dry, *some patrons commented they liked the meats "extra crispy"-accompanied by cucumber slices, lime squeeze, tasty red & green salsas.-wait time exceeded 10 minutes. it's not just scoop & go. they actually reheat or heat the proteins when order is placed. 4.5 stars good value as to portion size. prefer proteins moist/juicy, not friedfrijoles refritos:-large selections to choose from. good place to try a variety of eats.-no seating. Coach's bar is an option."
"I love Oaxacan-style tamales. As a Vietnamese person, I find it comforting to eat food wrapped in banana leaves. I was excited to find this truck with my partner and stopped by for dinner around 8:00 pm. Since we came late, they only had pork tamales ($4) left. We also ordered a carne asada burrito ($13) which came with radishes, a grilled jalapeno, and grilled onions on the side. Both items were really good! I was particularly impressed with the burrito. While the burrito was a bit on the smaller side compared to other places I've gone to, it was very balanced and satisfying. There was plenty of carne asada plus the rice and beans were seasoned well. It didn't feel like I was eating a tube of rice and beans. The burrito also had chopped lettuce, crema, and cheese. The tortilla was griddled a bit on the outside which I loved. There was a good amount of pork in our tamal and we enjoyed every bite. Everything was delicious, but we couldn't resist drizzling our food with the orange and green sauces for an extra punch of flavor and spice. There was also salsa macha on the table for more heat if you like your food extra spicy. The truck is parked alongside a park so there's a good amount of free street parking. There's a small counter attached to the truck with a few stools but there's also a few tables with chairs set up under a canopy for you to sit at. They accept cash, credit card, Zelle, Apple pay, and Google pay. I spoke to another diner who said her dining companion is from Oaxaca and this is their go-to spot. I'll definitely be coming back to try their huaraches and tlayuda!"
"I ordered through DoorDash so this isn't an in person experience. I got all super tacos of pastor, asada, and shrimp. The super tacos itself are great, I love how they include slices of avocado on each taco and the plate came with pickled jalapeños and a lime. Overall I would definitely reorder from this place! It was open late and satisfied my cravings for taco. We tried all their available salsas and the heat level was perfect. Solid place for tacos!"
"The food here is bomb AF! I love how UberEats app have promotions, like BOGO for their burrito. Going in person was not bad as well! There is parking and a little outdoor seating.I highly recommend ordering ahead through the UberEats App if you don't wait. It's a little safer to go there before sunset as well."
"Food is super hearty, only come here on an empty stomach cuz it is heavy!Juicy tacos and loaded fries definitely can't go wrongFeels like a backyard picnic with a pool table and wooden benches, definitely would be an awesome pregame or post-game spotOverall I dig this local business, definitely a go to on a party night"
"Fresh, crispy, warm, not too oily. Quickly prepared even during the busy day, without losing any taste or quality of the food. Just enough seats. The only complaint is that the drink is on the expensive side, compared to the cost of the dishes."
"Its new years eve, every single place I want to go to is either closed or not at the spot. I was just driving around and stumbled across this location. We ordered 2 tripas, 2 asada, and 2 pastor and a carne asada super burrito. Tacos were regular, however it was seasoned perfectly. Salsa bar was good, I personally liked the orange, red and then green. Prices were reasonable in this state of economy.Super burrito was amazing, might be my go to spot for burritos. This would been 5 starts but they forgot one of our quesabirria tacos, which was ok because we texted him and he said he will take care of us next time. Eddy was great! Might be our regular spot now."
"I've been wanting to try this food truck ever since I moved in the area and I finally did. I ordered the asada torta and it was good but I definitely had better. I think what I didn't like about the torta was that the bread was very flat and wasn't full unlike other places I've had tortas at. I'll definitely try to come back and try their tacos. The service was great, the lady who took my order and made my food was very kind and helpful! It's located in the chevron gas station so it's pretty easy to spot! They have seating outside as well if you wanted to eat your meal there."
"Some reviews just can't wait, and this is one of them. I'd like to think I'm gatekeeping - or that by not revealing, I'd be gatekeeping - but I think I'm already late to the party. This spot is probably already gaining popularity, but if you haven't tried it, I think I'm gonna have to go ahead and recommend it, at least based on our first meal.I ordered a grande burrito - it was big! Take a look at the pictures. The food was fresh, but the sauces definitely steal the show. You gotta try them. There's one smoky one that's unique- never had it anywhere else - and then they have a chipotle one that's really good.Couple that with the fact that their low prices are hard to find in the Bay, and yeah, this place is solid. It's actually called Tacos Blue Diamond, not Taco Blue Demon - I guess their name changed and it hasn't been updated. The cashier also gave me a free Nacho Libre mask, I guess because I was a new customer, but he says he gives them out to new customers and kids.Try their salsa bar - they've got some spicy options and some unique ones. Definitely putting this one on my list of spots to hit when I'm craving Mexican food."
"Cash or Zelle transfer, no credit card. Located in the corner plaza at Senter Rd and Monterey Hwy with the Marina Grocery store and Bank of America.Delicious carne asada burrito. I ordered mine with extra meat. Also tasty cheese and jalapeno pupusa. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. This El Palacio Del Sabor is the newer 2nd location; the older established one on Capitol Ave has 240 reviews with 4 stars.Only minor complaint is their tortilla chips are not as tasty as a place like Araujo's that makes theirs from scratch. But I prefer the burrito and menu food items from El Palacio Del Sabor, so it's worth coming here."
"I came up from a long walk and this was a saving grace . Tbh I didn't know they had this location . Located on fruitvale and foothill. It's located in a laundromat parking lot. Great place to eat when you are washing or just passing by . You can park your car and they are open late. I had a great experience I got a basic carne asada burrito . The meat was tender and juicy, the rice and beans were flavorful as well . The customer service was awesome."
"The shrimp and veggie tacos were both excellent! Ordering was easy, and the crew really seemed to care about their product."
"Hands down the best tacos that I've had in a long long time! Literally came back 2 days in a row because I couldn't stop thinking about them. We got the Al pastor taco, quesabirria taco, and birria ramen. Seriously SO good! Do yourself a favor and check them out! You won't be disappointed!"
"They saved us (sort of)! All of our favorites were closed already but OakTown was still open and delivering! We tried the wings, the chicken bites, and the super crispy tacos. My favorite were the super crispy tacos. Crispy and flavorful! I'll definitely order from them again. I have a feeling, I may crave for the tacos!"
