We got here right when they opened at 5pm, and was able to get a table inside. super cozy and romantic spot with tasteful decor. Despite it being a busy day, the servers were still attentive and provided great service.Fresh Ankimo (5/5) Some of the freshest I've had in the Bay Area. Dare I say as good as Japan? We were super happy with this dish. Highly recommend. Treasure Box (5/5) Just enough for two people, the treasure box is a must get when you come here. We got the Valentine's day box that came with abalone, uni + ikura over rice, king salmon, wagyu nigiri, Toro nigiri, Hamachi, oysters with caviar, sea bass, and a savory egg pudding dish topped with a dungeness crab. Mango Salmon Roll (4/5)salmon was fresh and the mango was sweet and complimented the roll so well.Fancy Oysters (5/5) topped with quail egg, ikura, ponzu and green onion. i really enjoyed these as well and even put some of the Ankimo on top overall, great experience for our first time. Li was kind enough to extend me an invitation, and I finally got a chance to meet several long time Yelpers in person. This was my first time eating at Tin's since the pandemic. Upon entering, I saw Alice the owner working at the cash register. Really glad to see her still at the helm. The interior appeared to have gone through a slight upgrade. Cleanliness was still excellent. We were seated at a large round table. Our group of 10 elected to eat family style. We each picked a dish, so we ended up with a table full of food. Overall, the quality was quite good. My two favorites were the Salt and Pepper Pork Chop and XO Sauce Seafood Combo. Judging from the absence of leftovers, I'd say the others liked it as well.Service we received was terrific. The staff were friendly and attentive. Many thanks to Li for organizing this dinner. It's so juicy and fried just proper amount of time Clam chowder (3/5) - I'm pretty picky on clam chowder coming from east coast. I give it 3 out of 5 because I don't think there's enough clams in there and it's not the type of thick clam chowder I like. Garlic clam (5/5) - this dish is so good!!! "I'm pretty sure this was here when I was living in UC 4 years ago, and now I'm mad at myself that I never knew of this place back then.My brother and hubby stopped in for late lunch reservations on a Wednesday and it was pretty empty, wait it was very empty with just one other table with a customer. I was a little worried but more shocked. My immediate impression walking in, I thought this restaurant has a nice interior, welcoming vibes but I was concerned there was no one here eating. Julian, our server was amazing from the start. Very personable, almost like he was an AI/robot, lol jk. He provided exceptional customer service without being overly helpful. For foods, we ordered two appetizers: crab cakes (bro's fav) and the aguachile. Both dishes were so good, I was excited to what was going to come out for our main dishes. The Aguachile had the perfect amount of spiciness with the Serrano sliced peppers and the shrimp marinating in a sour lime juice with spices. Wow, delicious stuff. Now for the mains, I went with the spicy pasta, hubby tried the Cajun pasta and my brother opted for the lobster/crab sandwich. Presentation was on point, really pretty plated dishes! Portions were pretty big, I would say two people can share the pasta dishes, needless to say I had leftovers, so yay me! I was just so satisfied with everything that we ate. From the flavors to the presentation, *chef's kiss good! Customer service, great; Ambiance welcoming and clean. I would 100% come back for a second visit and so should you. Speaking of my friend, it was her birthday. Honor Kitchen came through with a next-level bread pudding with plantain and even included a birthday card signed by the staff. Very close to Piedmont Ave. and Kaiser Oakland, Judoku is the perfect spot to dine outdoors with friends, a date, or just playing catch-up with a girlfriend. The staff is so accommodating and friendly, the interior inviting, but the outdoor area..unlike any other sushi spot in the East Bay with fun art, instagrammable backdrops, and just a cool essence. Well done! The menu is massive ~ we ordered the Kakiage Tempura and Bento Boxes for an afternoon lunch and omg what a deal! You can choose 2 or 3 items, so naturally we chose 3 ~ the avocado roll, teriyaki chicken, and pork gyoza accompanied by miso soup, edamame, and rice. Add a salad for a couple bucks if you're dining in! The Kakiage Tempura is so unique, crispy, and one of the most delicious appetizers in the East Bay..I said it! Delicate fried squares of shrimp, sweet potato, yellow onion, shitake and other root veggies combined into one bite. Glorious! And the value of what you can get in the bento box has me coming back for more. I only did the avocado roll this time, but can't wait to try more of their specialty rolls soon. Delicious and clean pieces of teriyaki meat, and super yummy gyoza, not too greasy at all. John D. "Khanh Do AttitudeLocally-owned mom-and-pop restaurant that's been serving authentic Vietnamese cuisine to the South Bay for nearly forty-five years (1981).They've moved around quite a bit over the years, with their last location being on Winchester Blvd across from The Row. This current location (±3yrs) is at the old Carrow's (RiP), and is well-suited for them and their clientele. The Good:*Private parking lot, as well as street parking available. *Great service and not at all like your typical ESSJ Viet restaurant, where they rush you thru and treat you like garbage. *Private party room available (min 25 max 40)*Nothing says class like smooth jazz in the background. :)*Booths!! I friggin love booths. :)))*Bottled beers (nothing fancy) and wine*Fresh Rolls (aka Gỏi Cuốn) were fresh and tasty, and I liked that they gave you options and price breaks on how many rolls you want (2,4, or 6). My only complaint was the dipping sauce wasn't the typical peanut sauce but soy sauce and a handful of peanuts thrown in. I mean it was fine once I added some Sriracha and hoisin to it, but still a bit odd. *Vietnamese Beef Stew (aka Bò Kho) was delicious and one of the best renditions I'd had in a while. The broth had a nice deep flavor and all the veggies and beef were cooked to perfection. My only complaint was I wish it had more beef, but that's always my complaint. *oink oink* :8)*Speaking of the Bò Kho, I got the more traditional baguette to go along with it and it was phenomenal. I'm not sure if they make it on house, but it was a very good baguette. I bet their bánh mìs are fantastic.*Carissa loved their Ginger Chicken (aka Gà Kho Gừng) as the chicken was cooked and seasoned nicely and the dish was filled with great ginger flavor. The Meh:*No outdoor diningThe Ugly:*I saw a few reviews on here stating that the food isn't "authentic" (whatever that means) but that's pure horseshit. Combined, we've eaten at dozens of Vietnamese restaurants throughout the country, so while we might not be the arbiters of what's "authentic" and what's not, I think we know anglicized cuisine when we see it--and this ain't it. Sure, the clientele is a bit sus, but we're in Campbell for fuck's sake. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Conclusion: Good food, great service, and terrific ambiance."

John D. "The Powers that TeaLocated at the former Masa Ramen Bar (home of the Masa Ramen Challenge as seen on Man vs Food [S8:E19**]), Burma Choice has been serving up one of the more underrepresented restaurant cuisines: Burmese.Burmese food is a Fusion of mostly Thai with some Indian and Chinese thrown in for food measure. Burma Choice is one of only a small handful of restaurants that do this, but it should be noted, they do it very well. The Good:*Friendly service*Dog-friendly outdoor dining *Large shared private lot *Service was friendly and attentive*Local beers on draught, as well as a full bar. *Palata app is a must-order! The crispy, flaky palata was sensational. Imagine a croissant smashed into a flat bread. Yeah. It's that good.*Carissa loved her Pumpkin Stew w/ chicken, as it was a well-balanced soup/stew with good pumpkin flavor that had a subtle sweetness to go with the earthiness. *My current obsession, after reading about it on a local subreddit, is Burmese Tea Leaf Salad. This was only my second time consuming one but it was even better than my first time. Earthy, crunchy, and filled with tons of legumes and other goodies. Please note this is a vegan dish, but I highly-recommend going to the dark side and asking for some complimentary Crushed Dried Shrimp to sprinkle on top of the salad to give it an even bigger umami punch. The Meh:*Jackfruit Bananas dessert was just OK. I felt like all I could taste was the bananas In the filling and not enough jackfruit for my liking. And the ice cream was a boring vanilla. If they really wanted to pump it up, make the filling all banana and the ice cream jackfruit flavored. The Ugly:*Why is it when you're in a mostly empty restaurant they always feel the need to seat people literally right next to you? -_- Kinda like that guy that always parks their car right next to you in a 95% empty lot. Like wtf? Conclusion: Fantastic Burmese food with great service and a nice location. Highly recommended. **I'm actually somewhere in that episode. Hmmm..."

Linh N. "Final Thoughts: 4.48/5Dim sum for lunch with my friends after my 8-hour shift feels very rewarding. For this place, their dim sum menu is only available until 2:30pm, so just a caution with the time. We came at about 1:30pm and I had quite the pleasant experience from food to service. Food:1. Shrimp Dumpling (Har Gow): 4.4/5The texture of the har gow is to my preference - Optimal balance of softness, thickness, and chewiness. Filling was also optimal for all 4 that were provided. The shrimps are nicely cooked and well-seasoned. Texture of the shrimps were crunchy and I enjoyed it. I did dip this one in soy sauce, but it could have sufficed even without the extra seasoning.2. Siu Mai: 4.6/5My personal favorite item was this item. Four are provided to you. Size, temperature, and flavor were all very nicely done today. Each item actually came out piping hot, so please don't burn yourself. Texture wise, there's a nice crunch from the shrimp mixed with the pork. I split mine in half to cool it off and get a cross section. Optimal amounts of both proteins are provided. Flavor wise - Delightful. I love the balances of salty, sweet, and some umami from the sauce and fish roe. 3. Steamed BBQ Pork Buns: 4.1/5Seems to be your average buns. They came out nice and hot. Dough itself was still very fluffy with a good ratio of dough to filling. The meat was the standard red color. Flavor was also quite standard - well-seasoning with what I believe tasted like oyster sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. 4. Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll: 4.1/5Texture of the rice noodle rolls were nice and thin. Good chewiness and softness with some body to hold its shape. Ratio of the rice noodle and shrimp was alright. The shrimps are plump, but they are smaller in size than other places that I have tried. Light seasonings and balanced flavors overall. The sweet soy sauce has a nice umami and sweetness to it that just compliments this dish. 5. Pan Fried Green Onion Pancake: 4.0/5Very crispy pancake with some subtle flavors from the green onion. Lovely golden brown exterior. The outside texture is very crispy and the inside has the slightest bit of chew and pull to it from all the flattened out layers. Nothing too extravagant about this item, but it did pair well with a protein.6. XO Sauce Stir-Fried Rice Rolls: 3.9/5This dish always needs some kind of a protein to it because it's just rice rolls. There wasn't a significant amount that contribute to it, but I appreciate the shredded meat provided between the rolls. Personal preference, but I enjoyed the thickness of these rolls. They seem quite thick, but pair well with a protein. Nice spice and flavor from the jalapenos. Regarding flavor, some more flavoring would've elevated it. The sauce has a lighter taste to it that seemed to only be on the outside charring layer of the rice rolls.7. Salt and Pepper Fish Fillet: 4.2/5Definitely the protein that helped elevate the rice paper dish. Both paired fairly well together. Nice flavor of salt. I think I would have preferred a strong scent of the black pepper, but it was still good. They came out nice and crispy. Texture wise - Optimal. Slight crisp exterior and the interior was cooked to perfection. Not dry and just breaks apart with a soft interior.---------Quality: Fair All food items were good overall. Temperatures were desirable and very palatable. My two notes would be the shrimps used and BBQ buns. One of the buns had a crack running through the top, and I usually see that with frozen, thawed, and reheated buns. The shrimps aren't the biggest concern, but the size is smaller than others that I am used to. Price: Fair Between the three of us, we paid about $21 each, which I deem a fair price for what we got. Considering we got 7 items and still had leftovers afterwards - Ideal for a simple, but nice lunch date out. They have a variety of items from dim sum to kitchen menu items, so the price will range and vary depending on what you get. Service: Very efficientThe waiters and waitresses here took no time in seating us, checking in on us, and managing each table. They checked on us multiple times and there always seemed to be someone overlooking the tables. Each time we made a movement to signal for something/someone, they were usually already on their way over to us.Ambiance: TranquilSeems like a very nice and quiet area. The interior is quite large and did get a little drafty, but that wasn't too big of a concern here. We were seated at a large table and ended up huddling together to one side. Tables and space seemed fairly parted, so we were able to enjoy our lunch and talk comfortably even in the quiet space.Location/Parking: Fair to optimalThis place seems to be your average dim sum restaurant. The plaza is not one that I visit often. There are a variety of different stores presented here. Parking doesn't seem to be a concern at all. Some traffic is seen, but there were many spots available to us, nonetheless."

josh D. "New ownership. Prices went up, but I think the food actually tastes a little better. Less items on menu but they seem to be in the process of changing a bunch of things. New employees were nice and trying to be helpful. The atmosphere is mostly the same. Would go back when craving fishing and chips."

Kimberly Q. "Great food and very friendly service. Our eight person group of colleagues spanned a range from Caucasians who aren't very adventurous to Asians who love Sichuan (and a few in between), and everyone was very happy. One star removed for the bathroom where the toilet was broken."

Anna K. "We were in the area visiting family and ended up having dinner at Mandarin Gourmet because my SIL couldn't stop raving about their food. We were greeted and seated upon our arrival. The restaurant is quite spacious. You can definitely tell it's been around for a long time. We ordered:- Hot & Sour Soup- Honey Walnut Prawn- Mongolian Beef- Crispy Chicken in Hot Garlic SauceWe were not impressed by the hot & sour soup. It would've tasted better if we had some white pepper and garlic chili sauce. We liked the honey walnut prawns. It was perfectly cooked and the sauce was light. The prawns were HUGE. The mongolian beef was tasty. Crispy chicken in hot garlic sauce was a little on the salty side.Overall our experience was good. Our server was fast, friendly and sweet. The bill came out to $100 for 4 dishes. Not bad at all. Definitely, got the vibe of a family owned restaurant. Would I be back? Definitely, if I was in the area and craving Chinese food."
