Zach C. "We've been ordering from here for over 5 years now. They changed ownership somewhat recently and it's mostly still the same.Food is still great (we mostly order curries) and haven't really noticed a drop off in quality, maybe a slight one. Their butter chicken is excellent (as someone who loves butter chicken). We've never dined in (always pickup) and the interior is a bit dated and the tables are pretty basic, but I'd imagine most of their business is takeout orders.Staff is always friendly and attentive when picking up as well. They often have deals or discounts too. Regularly you can get a discount on DoorDash or their site ordering system. Sometimes during non peak offers they will offer buy one get one free of some items too."

Marc T. "Had the pleasure to try this place after touring the Google Visitor Experience Cafe! It's about a 6 minute drive from there. Lots of parking spots. We arrived around 12:30 pm and we were sat immediately. Not that many people at first, but it was packed when we left. A homey intimate diner with personality and class. There was a miscommunication with my order because I ordered the chicken fried steak entree but my waiter interpreted it as the side order. Not much a problem but I waited about 10 more minutes until my full order was fulfilled with the accompanying sides of French roll, cole slaw, and French fries. It was very filling that's for sure. The gravy on the steak wasn't gritty but had a smooth texture and creamy savory taste that made the meat easier to chew on and enhanced the flavor. The cole slaw was okay since I wished it had more seasoning. The French fries were a bit dry so I had to season it with lots of salt and pepper. The French roll was toasted to perfection with a good amount of butter on top. Great brunch/breakfast spot in Mountain View!"

My family and I love ordering one of their mousse's and enjoying it after dinner. It has the perfect touch of sweetness without being overwhelmingly sweet. They sell them by the slice then have two other options for a full sized cake. Can't recommend it enough!"

Cristina C. "Decided to try a new breakfast spot and found Amy's Grill on Yelp. It's in the same shopping center as Fitness 19, Sonic, and Grocery Outlet. There's plenty of parking available since it's in a big shopping center. They have about 5-7 tables outside in their patio and about 6-8 tables inside the small restaurant. I went on a Saturday morning around 10 am and was greeted and seated instantly. I got the Veggie Omelette with Cheese which comes with bell peppers, onions, spinach, and mushrooms. It comes with hash browns or hot fries which are like country potatoes and toast. I got the hash browns and after tasting the hot fries I wish I would've ordered those as they had lemon pepper seasoning and were really crispy. The omelette plate was a perfect serving for myself, but compared to other restaurants it was smaller so if you are super hungry it might not be enough. I did wish they had hot sauce besides tapatío that paired with the omelette to give it a bit more taste. My sister-in-law liked her strawberry banana waffle which looked delicious. The staff were really nice and attentive the entire time and the food arrived pretty fast. If you want a normal breakfast I would recommend Amy's. On a beautiful day it would be nice to sit outside and enjoy breakfast. I will definitely be returning in the future and would recommend to friends and family's. Check them out!"

I don't understand who would order this on purpose? They should on the menu explicitly state that it does not have tea in it or just make it a secondary option based on a milk tea. All of the ingredients went well together and blended into the perfect bite till the sandwich was gone. There's a selection of locally made sodas that didn't have all kinds of weird ingredients. We went for breakfast, and one downside: ordering food was a little confusing. They don't have a food menu conveniently placed for you to look at before ordering. We had to wait to reach the cashier to look at the menu at the counter, which held up the line. The wait after ordering wasn't too long, which was nice, and food was brought to our table. The smoothies were light and refreshing, the hustle was heavy on the fig jam, which overpowered the other flavors but was still delicious, and I absolutely loved the sausage egg and cheese biscuit, as simple as it was, the breakfast treat satisfying and made with tasty ingredients, even the bread itself was better than expected, light and fluffy, and slightly buttery. Now their customer service has ALWAYS been a lil spotty, it's a family business and sometimes people have bad days. BUT TODAY DAMN. I walked in around 12:45 and Pearl immediately tells me "I'm busy just wait." I say okay and check out the menu and just kinda wait and honestly Pearl seems pissed to have another customer; I think her son stepped in to take my order. He was kind and the exchange was neutral. Then about five minutes pass and instead of saying "hey we got your sandwich ready" or "croissant sandwich" Pearl says "Yeah your sandwich is ready" and gives me the most passive aggressive face, like I had been such a bother to come in while she was "doing something"This was so obvious that another customer looked on with surprise at the interaction as I gathered my stuff and left. I just wanted a large cup of the Deluxious Dark Mocha as requested by my wife for the drive back to Sacramento. There were two manning the counter and I could've sworn one of them took a break as we were queued for ordering. After 5 minutes or so, I was finally able to get my single order in and waited. There was more waiting for my coffee as they had a lot of orders ahead of me. Sadly, it's been closed due to the pandemic since March and then another couple of weeks due to the rioting/vandalizing/looting in Downtown Oakland. Senseless and definitely sad for small business trying to survive.I know everyone is on edge at this time, but High XII owner, Abby and staff, Jose and Leti (my apologies for not knowing the others) are wonderful, welcoming, friendly and help to start off your morning! Everyone there I might add, is doing a great job at following CDC recommendations: face masks, gloves, markings on the floor for social distancing, touchless payment, plexi, plastic drape to protect the food, employees and the customers while being ever so friendly and respectful... Definitely adding that extra star to this review! High XII Cafe has limited their hours (Mon-Fri, 8am - 1:30pm) and menu to a few breakfast items (some Starter Bakery goodies), Verve coffee with sandwiches and salad until they get back on their feet. This place is nothing fancy but great to grab a pastry and quick bite after getting off 12th Street BART station, with a short walk around the corner onto 11th.Show this business some love and support by stopping by, grabbing a bite (tip: the salmon and kale salad lunch is the best!) and making a small donation/tip for this business and hardworking staff! Pay it forward! :)"
