"I've been coming to Southie since it opened, both because the food is pleasing and because the staff is wonderful, especially Javier. They are always happy to turn any sandwich into a salad or switch the bread to another option on the menu. I visit every week because it's a guaranteed good time!"
"Omg! The food was great! I got the super burrito and it was amazing. I can in the morning and there was no wait. Plenty of seating. The restaurant is a bar too and had a lot of space in the back. I will definitely be coming back."

"A diner in the Bay Area!! So unheard of! There are 2 locations with the newer one on Alameda closer to downtown SJ. Great brunch options with the all major griddle dishes offered, crepes, French toast, waffles, or pancakes. What more can you want? Also with Latino breakfast options like Chilaquiles and breakfast burrito. The Alameda location had a fun Valentine's Day menu to my surprise. I got the link coco which was fun and delicious. (See photo.) The outdoor seating also had fun old school jams playing and great service. Recommend joining the waitlist on Yelp ahead of time to avoid the lines on weekend brunch mornings/afternokns. Don't be dismayed by the prices, the portions are more than you can handle!"
"Had the pleasure to try this place after touring the Google Visitor Experience Cafe! It's about a 6 minute drive from there. Lots of parking spots. We arrived around 12:30 pm and we were sat immediately. Not that many people at first, but it was packed when we left. A homey intimate diner with personality and class. There was a miscommunication with my order because I ordered the chicken fried steak entree but my waiter interpreted it as the side order. Not much a problem but I waited about 10 more minutes until my full order was fulfilled with the accompanying sides of French roll, cole slaw, and French fries. It was very filling that's for sure. The gravy on the steak wasn't gritty but had a smooth texture and creamy savory taste that made the meat easier to chew on and enhanced the flavor. The cole slaw was okay since I wished it had more seasoning. The French fries were a bit dry so I had to season it with lots of salt and pepper. The French roll was toasted to perfection with a good amount of butter on top. Great brunch/breakfast spot in Mountain View!"
"This is LOVE! Now voted my favorite breakfast/brunch spot in the Bay Area. That Raspberry Coffee Cake is amazeballs! The Shrimp Omelette is the best tasting omelette I've ever had! I'm pretty sure my BF's Flank Chimi Papa was bomb since he finished it.The server was super adorable and sweet and kept up with the jokes from our table. I was super glad that they had outdoor seating available since I had my dog with me and there's not a lot of outdoor seating space in San Jose so my dog enjoyed being outside. Def recommend!"
"Excellent food & servers welcoming and efficient! Delicious breakfasts, (Omelets, Pancakes, Waffles,) Lunches, (French Dip, Burgers, Salads, Soups,) and Dinners (each day of the week they have different specials), my favorite - Thursday night Corn beef & Cabbage dinner--includes: Salad or soup, corn beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots & dessert!"
"This restaurant had been here for a while and I've never been. I would highly recommend Metro for breakfast. Good portions, friendly staff and priced fair. Everything is made it order and super fresh. Country fried steaks in my opinion are hit or miss, but this one hit the spot. A good portion of hashbrowns and theirnorsnfe juice is really good too! I'll be back."
"It's nice to have a donut/sandwich shop nearby in your own neighborhood and this place is no exception. I've been frequenting Roger's for years now and have seen this business thrive. There are many folks from the neighborhood coming in on the weekends and workers mostly on weekdays. Their donuts are delicious and their croissants are not your regular type croissants but more of a doughy-donut texture but still good. What I really love is their sandwiches and my favorite is the hot pastrami. It can get chaotic though at times especially on the weekends. To order a sandwich, you must get in line near the cold beverages and place your order. The menu is large enough and easy to read. Choose your bread type and any cheese you want added. A ticket is then printed in front of you and you take that to the cash registers. What is confusing after that point is many people gathered around with no sense of organization. One way to notice if someone has already paid or yet to pay is by looking at the color of their receipts. If you see someone holding a white ticket, most likely that person hasn't yet paid for their food. If you see pink in their hands, they have already paid and is waiting for their food. They also have breakfast offerings but I have tried any of those items yet. Besides the chaos of people standing around, the food makes up for it. Best time to go here is after the rush hours."
"I arrived on a Tuesday morning around 8:30. Only one other table. It has a Diner feel and is located in a strip mall. staff was super welcoming. I ordered an Apple chicken with tater tots. I def recommend if you are in the area."
"Wow!! Soo good!! What a cute location, great food, great service! The food was fantastic - the beignets were a delight and the spinach, mushroom, bacon and cheese omelette was maybe the best omelette I've ever had. The breakfast potatoes were cooked just right as well!My only critique is that the black coffee tasted a little burnt but otherwise the experience here was superb!"
"Food came out quick and staff were friendly. They do have a selection of donuts to go as well"
"My brother introduced me this place when I was recently in town visiting. We came for a late lunch after an Oakland A's game (the last one at the Coliseum). And it's clear that this is a local gem. I had the ceviche tostada and the carnitas loaded nachos. Well, I probably should have stopped at the tostada which is a huge portion and could be shared for 2. It was fresh, really good. I liked the carnitas nachos, but I think I was already so full from the ceviche that I couldn't full appreciate the nachos. The unlimited Horchata was also awesome!! Will come back when I'm back in town!"

My wife and I loved Southie. The food was phenomenal and service was great. We found this place thanks to Yelp. The reviews and photos did not steer us wrong. We were looking for a good lunch spot in the Rockridge / North Oakland area and this place turned out to be perfect. I recommend it.Southie opened in January 2011. It's owned and run by the same folks who own Wood Tavern next door. The name of the restaurant, "Southie," is a reference to South Boston (I remember it from The Departed). The business doesn't describe its cuisine in any particular way. The internet consensus is "East Coast" and "sandwiches." My visit here was complete when a customer with a strong Boston accent struck up a conversation with me before we left.My wife and I visited around 12:30pm on an ordinary Tuesday. This is a small place and it was mostly full when we arrived. The only seating options for us were the two-top in the back and two seats, which had just opened up, at the four-seat window counter. We chose the latter. At lunchtime, it was bustling. Southie has an open kitchen with a wraparound bar that can seat 8, maybe 10. I counted five two-tops against the wall and a small table in the back, so I guesstimate the dining room and bar can seat about 27 people total. It's cozy. I don't recommend this place for groups. If dining in, the setup is best for parties of one or two. The atmosphere is casual. We ended up speaking with the couple sitting next to us at the storefront window. If you're not familiar with the neighborhood (Rockridge), Southie is situated on College Avenue, a street that's lined with restaurants, cafes, bakeries, markets, and boutique shops. We enjoyed people-watching while eating, looking out onto the busy sidewalks and street.Southie serves breakfast from 9am-1pm, Tuesday-Sunday. They serve lunch, Tuesday-Sunday and dinner, Tuesday-Saturday. There's no dinner on Sunday and they're closed all day on Monday. We ordered off the lunch menu which had eight lunch dishes ($12-18 each), eight sandwiches ($15-23 each), and two desserts ($8 and $12). The lunch dishes were things like soups, salads, and wings. Think comfort food. Here's what we had:Southie Lunchables:* Creamy Mushroom Soup ($12) - creme fraiche, chives* Steamed P.E.I. Mussels ($18) - chorizo, Fresno chile, leeks, fennel, basil, shellfish broth, toasties* Wild Arugula Salad ($13) - persimmon, pomegranate seeds, pistachios, fennel, Grana Padano, lemon-pistachio vinaigretteSandwiches:* Spicy Hog sandwich ($16) - pulled pork, Southie slaw, pickled jalapeno, lime aioli, Acme bunEverything was outstanding. All around, excellent flavor and fresh, terrific-quality ingredients.I love cream of mushroom soup and the "Creamy Mushroom Soup" was Southie's take on it. It was indeed creamy and really comforting, packed with umami. When it comes to classic cream of mushroom soup, I don't think it gets much better than this. The Steamed P.E.I. Mussels were fantastic, among the best we've had anywhere (and we've had a lot of mussels in this style). All aspects of this dish were superb, from the quality of the mussels to the perfectly toasted slices of baguette. The tasty broth wasn't too heavy, which I appreciated. The Wild Arugula Salad tasted garden-fresh and the portion size was generous. The salad components were well-balanced. My favorite parts were the silky, sweet, and ripe persimmon and the delicate, finely-shaved Grana Padano cheese; buttery and mildly salty. The Spicy Hog sandwich was delectable. Just a very satisfying, well-made sandwich. It was sizable with a good amount of tender, moist, and flavorful pulled pork, fresh, clean-tasting green slaw, and a subtly tangy aioli which tied it all together. The Acme bun was appetizingly soft and suited the sandwich well. Even the side of potato chips, not mentioned on the menu, was great. I want to say they were housemade, but I don't recall. Regardless, they reminded me of Cape Cod chips because they were extra crunchy and not too greasy. The hostess was also our server. She was friendly and did a nice job. While sitting at the window, we noticed the manager made several trips between Southie and Wood Tavern next door.

The reviews did not disappoint! The location had me a bit confused, then I realized the restaurant was within the bar. I ordered the bean dip and chips and the super chicken tacos. I took my number, then headed to the bar for a drink. The friendly bartender assured me I would love the food because in her words "it's hella good!" she suggested a drink that tasted like a watermelon Jolly Rancher, rimmed with Tajin. I can't remember the name, but it did indeed taste as described, and not too sweet. The dip arrived first and I couldn't stop eating it, even after the tacos were placed in front of me. Those creamy, flavorful beans topped with Cotija cheese and pickled jalapeño peppers and carrots were absolutely addicting. The fresh, warm chips and dip combo would have been enough for me, but I moved on to the tacos. They were deliciously sloppy and full of flavor. The place is spacious with plenty of parking, it's a must try!

came here during a busy sunday morning for brunch with my dad. had joined the waitlist through yelp so that we wouldn't have to wait too long in person. when we got to 4th in line, we waited outside the restaurant. then suddenly, my name was removed from the waitlist even though i was still only 4th in line. talked to a hostess about the confusion although she was very short with me and seemed to be mad about the rush. she claimed that they had called my name and that i didn't show up. not sure how that happened as my dad and i were waiting by the door and never once heard my name being called. because of this, we had to wait 10 more minutes before finally being seated. in terms of food, it was your standard breakfast/brunch options. my dad and i both chose the classic breakfast with a waffle. everything was good but the best part of our meal were the hashbrowns. they were so crispy and crunchy and i feel like they give a larger portion compared to other breakfast spots. one thing i will say though, i asked for my eggs to be over medium and got over hard instead. overall, this restaurant is good for it's breakfast but service could be a little better. one more thing i do want to point out is that the table we were seated at was kind of broken. the table top was slanted and very small so i was scared if our food was going to slip off. you can't see in the photos but you can see how we didn't have a lot of space on the surface.

Located along Middlefield near 101, parking spots are few but available. There's a good amount of seating indoors. I also liked that they had a ventilated outdoor seating area too.Bajis Signature Omelette (5/5): so yummy. Each bite was well rationed with the ingredients being used. The bell peppers were crunchy and really added an extra layer to the texture. The flavor was just right. It wasn't overwhelmingly salty nor under salted. The hash browns were amazingly crispy.Service was great. The staff did an excellent job making sure we didn't need anything. Overall, Bajis Cafe is an awesome breakfast/brunch place. Food is phenomenal with top tier customer service.

I love their brunch, and I recommend the tuna melt for lunch. They check on you a little bit after you get your food to ensure satisfaction. You feel very welcomed once you come in. And the room is very lit up.:)Review left by my son who loves Metro City, and we as his parents love It as well.

The chaos of Roger's Deli & Donuts on a Sunday really reminded me of the east coast. Around 10AM they were super busy, but very efficient at getting through patrons quickly. Their system was a little confusing, where you order your bagel right away and receive a ticket, but only order your drinks and pastries when you pay at a different counter. I ordered an Everything Bagel with lox, cream cheese, tomato, onion, and capers, and then also got a Thai Iced Coffee and an Old Fashioned Maple Donut. Everything was ready quickly, but I had a hard time hearing the order numbers being called out, since their intercom was very quiet. They did have some seating inside, but the outside had a much more pleasant ambiance, so we snagged a table there. My Thai Iced Coffee was phenomenal - strong, delicious! I highly recommend ordering one of these. The bagel wasn't bad, but was't anything special either. The thick layer of cream cheese was definitely too much compared to the amount of lox. I did love the Old Fashioned Maple Donut though! The texture and the maple frosting were both perfect. Overall, a good experience - would happily return to try more!

"Food is good quality.Prices are already very expensive and 20pct fee is added to orders (both in person and to go orders have the added fee)"
"Simple homestyle meal! Quick service and humble ambience. Will be trying the menudo next time!"
"The food, drinks, and service far exceeds any expectations. They'll make sure you're comfortable and the food is always so flavorful and hot. This is our go to for a great family meal. They think of everything with great menu offerings, music, and games. We love their tuna tinga tacos, butter fusilli, chicken karaage, wings, salads, fries, and special"
"Picked up a dark chocolate mocha this morning. Hit the spot!Thank you for my beverage and helping me to start my day off right."
"Oakland, and the East Bay in general, has lots of breakfast options. I've been to Mama's twice now and both experiences were fantastic. The food is solid, very tasty, and has lots of options. The jalapeño and carrot salsa on the table is a generous addition, not too spicy and definitely filled with flavor crystals.I loved the NY sharp cheddar and cremini mushroom omelette, banked with home fries and a slice of Acme sourdough toast. The service was friendly and attentive the whole time --which says a lot at 11am on a gorgeous Saturday morning. The crew feels like family and they clearly know how to run a morning rush that feels easy and well coordinated. I also like how real the place feels. Black and red floor tiles from the 50's? Ornamental headboards from some past iteration as a Chinese restaurant, and super comfy seats and booths.Solid."
"Our first time here. Such great food, great hospitality, and excellent service! Not as crowded or rushed as some of the other breakfast places in Fremont (where it feels like they're just trying to cram as many people in a space as they can). We didn't feel rushed to want to finish and leave. Our server was so friendly and helpful. The place feels like a friendly family run establishment. We can't wait to come back!"
"Yes! Food was great, service awesome and can't wait to go back. I had a chicken wrap and fries. Rest of my group had lamb wrap and chicken and we all loved it."
"This is a great place for breakfast and sandwiches. We often go for weekend brunch, which can become a bit of a wait if you get a late start. Getting there before noon is usually not an issue. Their back patio is lovely, when it is open.My partner loves the oatmeal waffle and oatmeal pancake with fresh house-made blueberry sauce, which is usually his go-to. Their vegetarian benedicts are terrific with great flavor combinations and well cooked eggs. Lately, I have been a huge fan of the turkey pesto melt, which has house-roasted delicious turkey.Service is a little thin, post-pandemic, but they are making it work juggling the online orders and full tables of customers. As always, the servers are pleasant."
"I normally love Doug's Place, especially the bacon and home fries. So much so I brought two friends today. Two of us ordered waffles. They were so cold the butter didn't melt. I asked for a new waffle that was hot. The butter still didn't melt on the second one. They are very busy on weekends. I noticed the food sitting in the window for long periods of time. They'll need to come up with a better system for getting the food out hot. Even with a reorder the waffle didn't come out hot. Very disappointing."
"I've known about this place for a while as they've been featured on social media, newsprints, articles, word-of-mouth, TV shows, YouTube and etc... A few months ago (more like last summer), I took wifey here on a dinner date and didn't tell here where we were going. Funny thing was that as soon as I stepped inside, the bartender was already buttering me up...and it worked. So, I had to order some Red Horse (Philippine malt beer made by San Miguel) to get me started. The chef and owner, Janice Dulce, was busy working and greeting guests from behind and in front of the kitchen. The placed used to be a taqueria as she paid homage by keeping the original sign outside while adding her F.O.B. Kitchen logo. The exterior of the place is vibrant, full of colors and greeneries with vines crawling up the wall. The interior is warm, homey with touches of Philippine artwork. It feels comfortable, and the staff was surely very welcoming. We had the following: Starters/Pulutan - Sticky Wings ($15) coated with Patis (Fish Sauce) Caramel, pickles & cilantro. It was a delightful fried chicken that was well-balanced with tanginess and sweetness. The patis flavor wasn't too overpowering and pleasantly not too salty. It was crispy on the outside and tender inside. Lechon Kawali ($13) thriced cooked pork belly with pickled red onion, Thai chili, soy sauce & lemon. They were crispy but not greasy. The pickled red onion gave it a nice contrast, dipping it in the sauce gave it an umami punch. Of course, the Bartender reminded me to get the "Mang Tomas" sauce as it wouldn't be complete without it.Side Dish/Gulay-Tortang Talong ($13.00 - eggplant omelet, tomato, scallions, soy & banana ketchup dipping sauce (before the ban). Solid dish that was evenly coated with egg that provided a crispy exterior layer mixed with the soft eggplant to give it a nice contrast of texture and flavor.Entrees/Ulam - Sinigang Baboy ($25) tamarind & ginger soup, pork, daikon, bok choy, eggplant, green beans & Thai chili. If you like it sour, this was very sour....in a good way. The sourness comes the tamarind, which is very traditional and definitely did not come in a powder form. It was definitely a strong kick that would clear out your sinuses. The fresh veggies just sapped in all the flavors, and I couldn't stop eating them.Pork Adobo ($20) palm vinegar, soy, garlic, annatto, coconut milk & Thai chili. I have to give this a mix review since the pork was not consistent. There were parts that were dry and parts that were tender. However, their version of adobo was unique as I literally slurping the sauce. It was savory, but it also had sweet notes that reminded me of caramel. I just wished they made a Chicken Adobo version as well as chicken can be easily cooked evenly compared to pork. Dessert/Panghimagas -Turon with Ube Ice Cream (forgot the cost) a nice ending to the dish as the Turon was goldenly fried and the Ube was made with real Ube. It wasn't too sweet, and the ice cream had a great texture of real Ube mixed in. I don't know if they made it inhouse or from a vendor, but I appreciate a good and real Ube when I taste it. Not the fake, purple-colored desserts being appropriated by Trader Joe's. Cold Brew Pandan Coffee ($6). I know, it's not really a dessert, but this was addictively so good that I ordered another and another to go. Now, my only bone to pick with was the side of garlic rice that we ordered. The garlic was nice, but the rice was just way too clumpy. It could've been mixed together more evenly as opposed to getting clumps and chunks that it was almost a cop out. Just my opinion, but they could pay more attention on this one. Don't want to end on a negative note as we truly enjoyed our meal and time here. The service was friendly and professional, especially the Bartender. These were truly some of the best-tasting Filipino dishes we'd have to date, and I know there are other dishes that we wanted to try, but we only have two mouths. They also pay homage to its Oakland roots as evident from the names of the cocktails such as The Town, Blow the Whistle, Feelin' Myself, and Golden State of Mind. Oakland has been getting a bad rap, especially with what happened to their mayor, but it doesn't represent everything about The Town. It's very rich in the diversity in its people and culinary cuisines. There are good people here trying to make it better. Janice Dulce is one of those people. She's a proud Filipina American offering her culture and providing a safe space for people of color with different ethnicities, background and orientation. We must uphold them during these bleak times, and it is what America should be about."
"OMG THE CLAM CHOWDER!!!Fresh, thick, full of tender clams, hint of garlic... PERFECT!!! Tim is a great server, too. These delightful dishes keep us coming back!"
"Walking up to Jack's for lunch, I couldn't help but admire the vibe--this place knows how to catch your eye! The sleek design and inviting outdoor seating were calling my name. Stepping inside, I was greeted with a classy, spotless interior that immediately set the tone. I barely had time to take it all in before being promptly seated in the bar area. And wow, what a bar--elegant, with big, beautiful screens hovering like trophies overhead. My lunch order? A half-pound of all-natural beef perfection, nestled on a toasted sesame brioche bun, with crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, and red onion. At first glance, I thought, "Huh, this burger's a little small," but then I noticed how satisfyingly thick it was. Bonus points for putting the lettuce and tomato on the side (I like to DIY my burger toppings). Now let me tell you about that first bite. OH. MY. GOD. A flavor explosion of perfectly cooked medium-rare beef and that glorious, smoky charbroil goodness. Seriously, it's like the charbroil gods blessed this burger. It's been a long time since I've had one this good. The fries? Solid natural-cut classics--good enough to keep eating, but let's be real, the burger was the star of this show. Jack's, you've officially made my lunchtime legendary."
"All I ever crave is a Turkey sandwich and now we have an amazing halal deli shop! Alhamdullilah! The menu is actually pretty extensive. They have gyros , falafel , paninis. I think I even saw orange chicken! But you can't go wrong with a sandwich! The Vietnamese coffee was also delicious! I'll be coming here again inshAllah! Definitely recommend"
"I introduced my friends to Rosy's when they wanted to take me out for my birthday. I tried the Chile Verde Omelet with extra crispy hash browns and English muffins and it was great. One of my friends ordered the Chicken Fajita Omelet with the same sides and she told Jaimie, our waitress, and owner's daughter, that it was one of her best breakfasts. Another friend enjoyed her Strawberry/Banana smoothie and another enjoyed her Huevos la Mexicana, though she wished she ordered the hashbrowns instead of "home fries" since they were kind of plain. I enjoy potatoes like that if they add onion and green peppers. We enjoyed our coffees with refills. The prices have gone up but so have all the other restaurants and this in comparison seems reasonable."
"Very good to excellent place for breakfast and lunch. Many healthy choices on their menu as well as some standard American fare. You order at the counter and they deliver to your table. You also get your own water. Very popular with locals. Many specials every day. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. We've been coming here for 20+ years now and have sampled just about everything on their menu."
"If you're in the heart of Burlingame avenue, Caffe Central is a must visit spot! That definitely holds its weight when it comes to delicious food. It offers something for everyone with their variety of breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. Not to mention their irresistible selection of pastries. I got the breakfast bowl after spotting it while walking past the restaurant and every bite was satisfying. Plenty of shops around to walk to after that add the overall experience. I'll definitely be back to try more of their offerings. Giving it a 4/5 only simply because the service could have been just a tiny bit better but it seemed to be a younger staff so I wasn't too worried."
"Small little bagel shop (only 2 four person tables) that makes classic style sandwiches with them and also carries a variety of cream cheeses. You can also get croissant sandwiches too. Not overly awesome or anything, but it's really solid. Bagels are always soft and fresh and they toast them perfectly. The decor of the place is stuck in the 80's however. Charming if you are into that kind of thing."
"I ordered the torta cubana, all I can say is that it was amazing. They have a combo too, not sure if it's only a lunch deal but it's your preferred sandwich, an alfajor (sweet cookie) or chips and a soda. 10/10 I will come back and bring co-workers. The service was great and the place was clean and comfortable."
"Breakfast at a nice cozy diner was a very good experience for Saturday morning. I enjoyed the non-stop coffee and Denver omelette with hash brown and a pancake. The waitperson was kind and helpful. We stayed long after we finished eating but never felt rushed (we made sure no one was waiting). Will eat here again when in the area!"
"This has turned into a must stop destination for us every time we are in the Bay Area. We used to hit this tiffins place for snacks on our way back home the past couple of years. However during our 2 most recent trips we physically dined here as well to check their tiffins section!Ian loves their Poori and their Rava Dosa.Punugulu, Garelu (Vada), Uthappam, etc. bring the taste from Vijayawada to the US! Love it!You seriously are missing out if Ulavacharu tiffins is not your frequent Andhra meal/snack destination!"
"- monkey waffles: 3.5/5 - so yummy, can't go wrong with nutella, banana, waffles, and whip cream but not anything special- breeze benedict: 4.5/5 - i was craving eggs benedict but i was also craving steak and eggs and this had tritip in it!! it was perfect and i would definitely come back here to try their other eggs benedict- iced cookie butter latte: 5/5 - i'm craving this right now as i'm typing this the biscoff cookie was so good dipped in the whip cream- strawberry mimosa: 3/5 - pretty good, but i think i shouldve listened to other reviews and got the rose gold onei had to ask the guys working at the front for our server's name because she was busy when we left, but her name was maribelle (i think that's how you spell it) and she was extremely kind and friendly! she was very attentive and even got us extra syrup/sugar for our drink bc my gf thought it wasn't sweet enough haha. give her a raise!!the interior was so adorable and very trendy, it was cozy and pretty at the same time! when i sat down in the booth i was a little startled at first because the seats were sooo cushioned and comfortable. should definitely give this spot a try, i'm surprised it's not as big as the breakfast club or bills cafe (unless it is then idk)"
"Cute little diner with tons of options. Def worth the visit especially if you are out of state!I ordered the french toast meal which comes with two slices, eggs, and bacon. Very yummy and decently priced!I also ordered a vanilla latte but they brought me out this gigantic fun drink! Not what I was expecting at all and I would def order it again lol! So cute and yummy!! The service was super speedy. Very nice servers as well!"
"Peanuts has been a tradition for me long before I knew I was a foodie, when I was just a college student looking for the cheapest meal and drink.... Just recently i started frequenting peanuts again and I tried their korean fried chicken and chicken teriyaki. Great portions and solid ingredients. Perfect for a quick lunch. During the pandemic peanuts closed and renovated... it looks so great and modern inside now! I'm so happy they kept the sorority and fraternity paddles. I'm happy to keep supporting them because they are a critical part of San Jose culture. whether you are there to drink some beer or fill your tummy with a hearty breakfast, you will always get great prices, portions and customer service. Love the new remodel and miss Minh."
