"I love this place! Nice ambience, attentive servers and the food is INCREDIBlE. Tonight we ordered the Avocado Jhalmuri as a starter-awesome! Garlic shrimp from the clay oven were flavorful and the Vegetable Korma was great too.Prices are quite reasonable and our server, aptly named Joy, could not have been better. He even gave me a little extra lemon pickle (condiment) to take home with my leftovers after I told him I liked it."
"Absolutely great! Went on a rainy day, and the ambiance felt straight out of a movie. Perfect place to grab a coffee and read a book. However, it did get quite full after a while. We went for breakfast, and one downside: ordering food was a little confusing. They don't have a food menu conveniently placed for you to look at before ordering. We had to wait to reach the cashier to look at the menu at the counter, which held up the line. The wait after ordering wasn't too long, which was nice, and food was brought to our table. We ordered a Cesar Wrap and Chaplin. Both were great and packed with flavor. highly recommend for a nice brunch and cafe spot!"

"Pizzeria Violetta is one of my sister and brother-in-law's favorite pizza places in Oakland. They introduced my wife and me to this place. My BIL likes to get pizza by the slice here. This is a locally-owned pizzeria.First, I have to mention that the pictures of the pizzas I saw online looked exactly like what we picked up in person. We got two whole pizzas. They were pretty big at 18 inches each. We had the following:* Italian Sausage & Eggplant Chutney Pizza ($35) - pickled onions, roasted peppers, garlic puree, mint-marinated feta cheese, mozzarella* Sweet Little Pig Pizza ($35) - brown sugar candied bacon, artisan pepperoni, fresh basil, cheese blend, organic housemade tomato sauce. My sister was quite excited about the Italian Sausage & Eggplant Chutney Pizza because it was a seasonal special and we were able to get one before the store sold out. Both pizzas were delicious. They were well made with high-quality ingredients, even topping distribution (with lots of toppings), and super-tasty crusts that were charred just right. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. And the pizzas were filling too. These were among the best pizzas my wife and I have had in the Bay Area. She liked the pizzas so much that she said she wished there was a Pizzeria Violetta back home in Atlanta. On the Italian Sausage & Eggplant Chutney Pizza, the pieces of sausage were savory and gratifying -- they really stood out. I loved the pizza's garlicky flavor. The Sweet Little Pig Pizza was like a classic pizza, but amped up in terms of flavor and satisfaction. It was really good. We also got some condiments to go like Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and chili oil.In addition to creative pizzas, Pizzeria Violetta sells Fiorello's artisan gelato from nearby San Rafael as well as a unique variety of beer, wine, and sake. This business replaced another pizza joint, Slicer, in June 2021. The restaurant is located near the north end of Piedmont Avenue. The space is small and clean with limited indoor seating only. There's a six-top in the center and about a dozen counter-height seats along the storefront and wall. I think most customers get takeout. The folks behind this place named it after their daughter, Violet.Check out Pizzeria Violetta on Instagram at @pizzeria.violetta. https://www.instagram.com/pizzeria.violetta"
"Cork'n Bottle have a fantastic selection of beer & alcohol. A tasting room with many many many choices that is dog friendly and open late. It has the perfect dive bar feel to it. But most importantly fantastic customer service. Which is the best reason to come in and spend money. I highly recommend you come here. Especially if you're looking for something specific."
"I have a tip for you. The phone number appears to be 510-5 82-3333. The one on the wall on the side of the building does not answer. You can order pizza by the slice and they have a veggie pizza for $5.99. Basically, they make it fresh. So, order ahead of time even for a slice. Then go over to the dollar store. Grab a 16 fluid ounce Coca-Cola including 0 cal for $1.25. Put in for a super lotto quick pick because you just saved yourself over a dollar in soda price at the liquor store. The crust was exceptional. I'd come here again. It's a shame that the outdoor seating in the back is not used for café seating as a restaurant. We could use an outdoor seating spot like this as a restaurant café with this good parking. All these new developments happening and this outdoor seating café is underutilized as a liquor store and a pizza place in the back. No seating all pick up and delivery. Hayward city, see if you can talk him into making this a café. Offer them a great deal on grants for upgrading this brick building into something that's more earthquake. Friendly if that's the problem. It's a great addition to the urban scene downtown. Lots of potential! Higher return than the little café at the library. And turn the Lucky into a Trader Joe's!"
"Great selection of all sorts of drinks. Beer: paired in 4 can sets but you can mix and match or just get oneEasy to find.Tons of parking.Really clean."
"Good little spot with big selection of craft beer and liquor! Perfect as there are never any lines as customers are in then out with the quickness."
"Some of the liquor was cheaper or equivalent to the Total Wine prices. Customer service is friendly as well. I live across the street, so I'm glad there's a nearby shop for me to do my shopping."
"Was looking for a place to buy wine because I recently started partaking in having a few glasses after work. I found this store on yelp and my goodness it is a big beautiful store! The gentleman who helped me was incredibly kind and helpful, I will become a regular here. Thank you!"

Can't say enough good things about Mantra. Whenever I have a friend who's never tried Indian food, I bring them here. Actually, I bring everyone here. The dishes are diverse and approachable. Any day is great to visit Mantra. Weekend buffet is a wonderful experience. Dishes are constantly replenished and rotated throughout lunch. You can order fresh naan and dosas as well. The staff at Mantra are what make this restaurant truly special. Reddy, Romaldo, and everyone else - super welcoming and offer a great overall experience. You guys are amazing!P. S. - They also cater!

I had such an amazing experience here! I was otw home from work but traffic was so crazy, I decided to stop by this spot cause I thought coffee, crepes, and beer were an interesting combo. When I got there, it had a nice cafe vibe like I would love to study there, but at the same time, it was nice that they had different types of beer available. The customer service was super nice and friendly. Overall, definitely worth a visit. I tried one of their seasonal lattes, the chicken pest crepe, and one of their sweets. SO bomb!!!

Date: 3/1/2025 Time: 1:25 PM 58° CoolI am actually at The Pizzeria Violetta in the Prescott Market Hall in West Oakland. Currently they are a pop up kitchen; however, they will have a brick and mortar set up in the future.I am hungry and undecided as to what I want to order. After perusing the menu, I selected the jumbo chicken wings (1/2 dozen) and an Italian sub sandwich. Total cost: approximately. $34 (tax and tip included). The chicken wings were tossed with a hot honey butter sauce and served with a bleu cheese dipping sauce. I am not a bleu cheese fan. Nix it on that dipping sauce. The wings were freshly prepared, delicious, crispy, flavorful and moist. My brother and I enjoyed them. I could only eat half of the sandwich. It was loaded with an assortment of meats, lettuce, sliced tomato, cheese, etc. Freshly prepared, the sandwich was on point. Prescott Market Hall is not near my home. A future visit will be at the brick and mortar on Piedmont Avenue. The line was long for people ordering food, but the employees move things along smoothly. They certainly did an awesome job and with much pleasantness.

I live in Southern California now but grew up in Northern California, specifically Fremont, CA. If you have grown up in Fremont, you know there aren't many bars, let alone beer bars. They are technically a liquor store but have a beer bar in the back. Great beers for sale and being poured. Go in and enjoy the beer and people. I will continue to visit when I am in town and enjoy some good brews.

I hate liquor stores because I tend to get followed around since I still look/dress like a teenager, even though I'm in my 30s, haha.I was greeted right away and, unfortunately, the guy kinda followed me around and kept looking over his shoulder. He did stop though and I didn't feel uncomfortable anymore. I came in here looking for Mexican Coca-Cola in the glass bottle since the taqueria a few doors down didn't have any. They had ONE left, omg. Totally saved my dinner!I make my way up to the register and the guy greeted me again. He was very nice and even offered to open up my bottle for me (never had been asked this question at a liquor store, definitely a plus). I had declined since I was going to drink it at home. This place is very clean, not OVERLY cramped with crap, and doesn't have that weird liquor store smell to it. Even the front in clean (sometimes there's cigarette butts and garbage everywhere). Not only do they take care of the inside the outside is well maintained.Very nice liquor store with friendly cashier.

Top shelf liquor at bottom shelf prices. If people make a place, this place has made my neighborhood feel more like home. Bright lights cast a glow late into the night on this quiet corner of town and this establishment has done much to illuminate the neighborhood with an old fashioned family touch so sorely needed in a world of soulless cookie-cutter shopping plazas and grocery dives. Jag, Jay, and Luis all know your name, face and what you come for. Accordingly, they are always poised to provide their expertise and recommend the perfect new favorite thing of yours. These guys are absolute class and I will always feel indebted to them for not only having boosted the appearance, morale and attitude of our neck of the hood but for always having given me 100% every time I would walk in that door. Not only is it the personal touch that makes such a difference, it is their passion for always wanting to be the best they can be.Honesty. Integrity. Quality. Selection. Value. These are some of the key terms that JJ's strives so conscientiously to uphold and raise the bar on every single week. These guys will always have my loyalty. This is the place -- come on by.Cheers.

After visiting this liquor store many times, I can say I like the lottery and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink selection. Its customer service is friendly yet fast and efficient. It's a nice, little store to get a few things if you're in the area.

"While on the 5 star roll- that part of me which is happy to be home in San Leandro is apparent by which places i found myself making my first appearances in the first few days of being home..Ok so im not giving this place 5 stars for selling liqour. Although i do love that they sell my sparkling water, sparkling apple juice, and a few other must haves. As they are the closest "store" & the one open latest and i can not live without sparkling water- this is very important to me.But i give them 5 stars because of the service. The young men who run the store remember everyone, what we like, new stuff we want carried, our names, our dogs names...And after being gone a month, knew exactly how long it had been since i last visited.."
"Usually, I am not into buying single beers but my co-worker wanted to try some strong beer (malt liquor) and I was happy to pick-up some for him because he helped my so much! I usually pass this store each day; therefore, I went in to make my purchases! When I went in, I was amazed by the assortment of singles in the cooler, from selection of craft beer to the large, 24oz cans, of malt liquor! Prices were really good compared to even the discount super markets! The amazing part was the stocking clerk spoke to me to ask how he could help me choose the beer for my friend. This is something I have not experienced before at a neighborhood liquor store! He answered my questions about alcohol content and taste, thereafter, recommending some very good priced choices - King Cobra and Natural Ice, which were both in the 24 oz cans. These were strong stuff to me from looking at content on the labels. Overall, a great experience, which I was not expecting! I would return when I need some stuff! I see they are installing a soda fountain and they have ice available for a good price!"
"Quality neighborhood liquor store. Everyone needs to support your local business owners."
"My to go to liquor store in the area its small, clean, has a good overall selection with fair prices and is just convenient for me overall friendly and helpful staff is a plus they move fairly quick!"
"Martin's Liquor has definitely grown since i last came here.they have a plethora of booze: draft beers, seltzer's, energy drinks, wines, tequila. even bottled coffee, teas, artisan waters, parking may be a b... ,er pain.afternoons seem to be fine.brew: "cacti", 7% Lime agave spiked seltzer (3.99) Alcohol-100% premium bblue agave-has cold fermented cane sugar, an agave buzz-lots boozier taste wise than the uSual seltzer, hard wayer , etc-produced by Meadow Creek Bev . With Buschc Co."
"This is a nice little spot in Newark to pick up some liquor. This is a family owned liquor store so the owner is very helpful and friendly. They have a wide variety of all different kinds of liquor and according to the owner there is always something for sale. They also have hats, white t shirts and lots of different types of lotto tickets."
"Nice local convenience store. Sometimes plays fun music. Good selection, though I wish they had some more home items (coffee filter options, toilet paper, tampons) for quick trips. Building might need more ventilation. Went in this evening and someone had come through with so much perfume I almost choked and had to buy a bottle of water to get out of the place. Probably not the owners fault - might have just been a one-off extremely perfumed patron. Generally a good experience. Recommend parking on the street out front, if you can - avoid the traffic with other stores' patrons."
"The only thing this place lack is parking. It has all types of liquor if you don't want to drive to costco which will probably save you more $ in your wallet but again it is a convenient store. Your in and your out. Not much to say really. Typical convenient store snacks, drinks, and alcohol."
"Located next to food maxx and home depot. This place has a nice selection of liquor and beer at very friendly prices. 5 out of 5 for service, quality , and cheap prices!!!!! Much recommended!!"
"seen Bob's Discount Liquors all over hayward/newark/fremont area. this one has large selection of flavored cigarettos. (no longer smoke so not interested)offerings: large refrigerated section, hard liquors, wine, smokes, snacks. some "new" microbrews, pricey.brew: Drake's IPA (4.99) 7%-slightly hoppy-interesting selections of micros, mainstream brewsnot cheap, comparable or higher than safeway.on draught:-small shop, rents not cheap in this area."
"I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this place and the portion sizing. This is not to say that the portion sizes were big. This is more the things that I thought we're gonna be bigger portion were smaller than what I assumed and vice versa. The ones that I thought we're gonna be smaller. We're bigger portions.3/4 of my table, ended up ordering the same thing. I do not know if we are all on the same page, but I felt that my steak was a little bit dry and not what I was hoping for nor accustomed to. I will say the onions were grilled too perfection and that the Portabella mushrooms were great. I did, however, know that my mashed potatoes were not necessarily mash, but more chunked and the chipotle butter was very iffy for me. I don't think it made or broke the mail, I really think the stake would've been fine with or without it.The fondue was a nice surprise and a really big portion. But I don't think it is something I would order again. The rib appetizer ended up being too sweet for me, and I would definitely pass on it in the future. This place is two stories in my group was lucky enough to be seated alone upstairs as it was a catch-up between friends and it was nice to have a place where we could all just talk and not be distracted by everything that was going on downstairs. Our waitress did a really good job of checking in on us, which was nice. Parking here is a bit hard as it is technically in downtown in the San Pedro market. So I would recommend parking in the garage closest to the old spaghetti factory. Just to get a parking spot and not be rushed. From there you walk about 2 to 3 minutes and you're all set."
"What a gem. So much joy packed into one tiny place.Large portions. Adorable atmosphere. Friendly staff. Not a ton of tables and it closes early (8pm). Place has many cute vending machines, a Photo Booth, a street fighter 2 arcade machine. I'd enjoy taking somebody on a simple tasteful fun date here. Midweek. Honestly, I was looking for food tonight that would sit well with an upset stomach I've been carrying. Simple pho and chicken noodles hit the spot. Again, staff was so friendly I almost thought they knew I was planning on writing a Yelp review. While I was there it was somebody's birthday-- the drove out the cake on a tiny little cart and sang happy birthday."
"Great place and is one of our go to's in Napa. Pizza and beers??? This is your place. If you happen to get there early enough, before 5pm, get the PBJ!! It's the pizza, beer, and a shot of Jameson. Excellent pairing to take you into the evening. We typically come for the craft beers and delicious pizzas all made carefully by the staff. Oh and the fried cheese balls?!?!? To die for! Overall, great experience, good food, and good times."
