"Absolutely great! Went on a rainy day, and the ambiance felt straight out of a movie. Perfect place to grab a coffee and read a book. However, it did get quite full after a while. We went for breakfast, and one downside: ordering food was a little confusing. They don't have a food menu conveniently placed for you to look at before ordering. We had to wait to reach the cashier to look at the menu at the counter, which held up the line. The wait after ordering wasn't too long, which was nice, and food was brought to our table. We ordered a Cesar Wrap and Chaplin. Both were great and packed with flavor. highly recommend for a nice brunch and cafe spot!"

"Pizzeria Violetta is one of my sister and brother-in-law's favorite pizza places in Oakland. They introduced my wife and me to this place. My BIL likes to get pizza by the slice here. This is a locally-owned pizzeria.First, I have to mention that the pictures of the pizzas I saw online looked exactly like what we picked up in person. We got two whole pizzas. They were pretty big at 18 inches each. We had the following:* Italian Sausage & Eggplant Chutney Pizza ($35) - pickled onions, roasted peppers, garlic puree, mint-marinated feta cheese, mozzarella* Sweet Little Pig Pizza ($35) - brown sugar candied bacon, artisan pepperoni, fresh basil, cheese blend, organic housemade tomato sauce.My sister was quite excited about the Italian Sausage & Eggplant Chutney Pizza because it was a seasonal special and we were able to get one before the store sold out. Both pizzas were delicious. They were well made with high-quality ingredients, even topping distribution (with lots of toppings), and super-tasty crusts that were charred just right. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. And the pizzas were filling too. These were among the best pizzas my wife and I have had in the Bay Area. She liked the pizzas so much that she said she wished there was a Pizzeria Violetta back home in Atlanta.On the Italian Sausage & Eggplant Chutney Pizza, the pieces of sausage were savory and gratifying -- they really stood out. I loved the pizza's garlicky flavor. The Sweet Little Pig Pizza was like a classic pizza, but amped up in terms of flavor and satisfaction. It was really good. We also got some condiments to go like Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and chili oil.In addition to creative pizzas, Pizzeria Violetta sells Fiorello's artisan gelato from nearby San Rafael as well as a unique variety of beer, wine, and sake. This business replaced another pizza joint, Slicer, in June 2021. The restaurant is located near the north end of Piedmont Avenue. The space is small and clean with limited indoor seating only. There's a six-top in the center and about a dozen counter-height seats along the storefront and wall. I think most customers get takeout. "I have a tip for you. The phone number appears to be 510-5 82-3333. The one on the wall on the side of the building does not answer. You can order pizza by the slice and they have a veggie pizza for $5.99. Basically, they make it fresh. So, order ahead of time even for a slice. Then go over to the dollar store. Grab a 16 fluid ounce Coca-Cola including 0 cal for $1.25. Put in for a super lotto quick pick because you just saved yourself over a dollar in soda price at the liquor store. The crust was exceptional. I'd come here again. It's a shame that the outdoor seating in the back is not used for café seating as a restaurant. We could use an outdoor seating spot like this as a restaurant café with this good parking. All these new developments happening and this outdoor seating café is underutilized as a liquor store and a pizza place in the back. No seating all pick up and delivery. Hayward city, see if you can talk him into making this a café. Offer them a great deal on grants for upgrading this brick building into something that's more earthquake. Friendly if that's the problem. It's a great addition to the urban scene downtown. Lots of potential! Higher return than the little café at the library. And turn the Lucky into a Trader Joe's!"

As they are the closest "store" & the one open latest and i can not live without sparkling water- this is very important to me.But i give them 5 stars because of the service. "Usually, I am not into buying single beers but my co-worker wanted to try some strong beer (malt liquor) and I was happy to pick-up some for him because he helped my so much! I usually pass this store each day; therefore, I went in to make my purchases!When I went in, I was amazed by the assortment of singles in the cooler, from selection of craft beer to the large, 24oz cans, of malt liquor! Prices were really good compared to even the discount super markets! The amazing part was the stocking clerk spoke to me to ask how he could help me choose the beer for my friend. This is something I have not experienced before at a neighborhood liquor store! He answered my questions about alcohol content and taste, thereafter, recommending some very good priced choices - King Cobra and Natural Ice, which were both in the 24 oz cans. These were strong stuff to me from looking at content on the labels. Overall, a great experience, which I was not expecting! I would return when I need some stuff! I see they are installing a soda fountain and they have ice available for a good price!"

This is more the things that I thought we're gonna be bigger portion were smaller than what I assumed and vice versa. The ones that I thought we're gonna be smaller. We're bigger portions.3/4 of my table, ended up ordering the same thing. I do not know if we are all on the same page, but I felt that my steak was a little bit dry and not what I was hoping for nor accustomed to. I will say the onions were grilled too perfection and that the Portabella mushrooms were great. I did, however, know that my mashed potatoes were not necessarily mash, but more chunked and the chipotle butter was very iffy for me. I don't think it made or broke the mail, I really think the stake would've been fine with or without it.The fondue was a nice surprise and a really big portion. But I don't think it is something I would order again. The rib appetizer ended up being too sweet for me, and I would definitely pass on it in the future.This place is two stories in my group was lucky enough to be seated alone upstairs as it was a catch-up between friends and it was nice to have a place where we could all just talk and not be distracted by everything that was going on downstairs. Our waitress did a really good job of checking in on us, which was nice. Parking here is a bit hard as it is technically in downtown in the San Pedro market. So I would recommend parking in the garage closest to the old spaghetti factory. Just to get a parking spot and not be rushed. From there you walk about 2 to 3 minutes and you're all set."

Place has many cute vending machines, a Photo Booth, a street fighter 2 arcade machine. I'd enjoy taking somebody on a simple tasteful fun date here. Midweek. Honestly, I was looking for food tonight that would sit well with an upset stomach I've been carrying. Simple pho and chicken noodles hit the spot. Again, staff was so friendly I almost thought they knew I was planning on writing a Yelp review. While I was there it was somebody's birthday-- the drove out the cake on a tiny little cart and sang happy birthday."
