Azit is a late-night casual eatery bringing Korean fusion comfort food to the Oakland food scene. Although the exterior of the restaurant doesn't seem like much, upon walking in you're greeted with neon signs and a dimly lit interior meant to mimic the ambiance of Korean nightlife. This spot is perfect for those looking for either a dinner meal or a late bite to eat as they're open from 6pm to 1:30am seven days a week. Our party of 6 arrived shortly after they opened and were able to be seated without any wait. After perusing the menu for a bit we decided on their seafood pancake, corn cheese, bulgogi and cheese fries (which I am now realizing I lack a photo of), a half-serving of their boneless wings with rice cake (in soy garlic), 2 small portions of their Korean fried chicken (in soy garlic and spicy), the fish cake and udon soup, plus the garlic bossam to round out the meal. My favorite part of dining with friends is the ability to order more food than you could ever finish on your own, that way you're able to try even more menu items! The food came relatively quickly starting off with the seafood pancake and corn cheese (interestingly enough the bulgogi and cheese fries came quite a bit after our main meal items, but we still enjoyed them just the same). It would take me a while to go through each individual dish and wax poetry about it so I'll jsut give you the bottom line - their food is amazing and authentic. The Korean fried chicken was a show stopper as the meal was perfectly lightly fried to give you that crispy exterior, yet a juicy interior that you want with fried food. The garlic bossam was also a hit - pairing the flavorful pork in a lettuce wrap with your choice of banchan accompaniments to add in. As someone who can't tolerate much spicy food, I will note that the fish cake and udon soup does have jalapenos in it, which gave the dish a bit of a kick. It was somewhat tolerable for me, but not my favorite and so I wanted to mention that here since no where on the menu states that this particular dish is spicy. If you're craving for some Korean food late at night in the Oakland area, then Azit is definitely the place for you!

I've been looking for a Korean pocha in the Bay Area with the same vibes as k-town LA/NYC and I'm glad I found Azit! I came here with my friends after a concert at the Oakland arena and the restaurant was packed! I guess everyone else had the same idea, but I really enjoyed the liveliness this spot brings to Telegraph Ave. I could see them open up more locations across the Bah Area. This pocha opens until 2am everyday which is perfect for late-night Korean food and drinks. Their menu is so extensive and each portion is huge! It's definitely a great spot to share with a group of friends.Items we ordered:- Bossam wrapped in lettuce- Boneless fried chicken (hot/spicy + soy garlic)- Seafood pancake- Bibim makguksooOur favorite was hands down the kfc! Every piece was so flavorful and crunchy! It comes with sweet rice cakes which pairs perfectly with the chicken! The portion of the bossam was huge and it came with a ton of toppings such as garlic, kimchi, daikon, onions, and sauces. But I'm not sure if I'd order it again. It was a little too fatty for me.

The EPITOME of Korean comfort food and late night cravings. I am salivating as I type this review and missing all the flavors of each dish. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious, but my favorites were the Spicy Carbonara Rice Cakes, AZIT rice, and Garlic Bossam. The rice cakes were creamy, spicy, and umami. The Azit rice was cheesy, savory, and addictive The Garlic Bossam was the perfect refreshing bite with the lettuce wrap and assorted pickled veggies. Loved the garlic sauce on the pork. Was my first time trying this and it won't be my last. You'll also be blown away by the portions of basically everything here. Perfect for big groups to share! Great night life ambience. It's pretty dark inside but nicely decorated! Very unique. Our waitress was super nice and helpful. We had a delicious and enjoyable dine. Highly recommend to everyone!

Late night Korean bar food Open until 1:30am, azit was a perfect post concert meal right on telegraph. Came at 11:30pm on Saturday and was able to sit right away and start ordering. By midnight more tables were filled and the place was pretty lively 3 people shared:- Bulgogi Japchae rice (5/5): delicious and filling, highlight of the meal - Green Onion Pancake (4/5): comes with a spicy sauce, wish it was crispier - Spicy Rice Cakes (4/5): great texture with slight sweetness - Spicy Pork Azit fires with cheese (3/5): yummy all together but the fries were a little overdone - lychee soju (5/5)Love the vibe of AZIT and usually try different things every time I come depending on who is at the table. Cool vibe with korean music and fun art on the walls. Perfect place to hang out with friends to eat and drink and talk.

I am giving this place four stars because my friends really enjoyed their food so that within itself makes me happy. If it were up to only me, I would give this place a 3.. NOT because of their food, but because of the inconsiderate drunk people that were next to us that made our experience there quite uncomfortable. My party and I were a party of 3 and arrived late at night after a concert in San Francisco. We were sat next to a party of about 15 people who were very noticeably drunk based on the 10+ soju bottles and beer pitches spread out amongst their table and their overall loudness. We didn't mind all that much at first since the music was already blasting anyways, so we just let it be.. up until they started getting up and constantly bumping into my boyfriend. They were like wrestling or something..? I'm not sure but they kept yelling.. like straight up YELLING. My boyfriend is not confrontational at all, so I pretty much put matters into my own hands and just offered we move to the next table over since it was empty. Of course we didn't escape their loudness, but at least we weren't being constantly bumped into anymore. In terms of food and service, service was just okay. It seemed like there was only one server on the floor who was taking orders as well as bussing and cleaning tables at the same time. He pretty much just came over to take our order, drop the food off, and then pay us out. Nothing too special. Food portions are huge! Expect to share since their portions are meant to be served family style. Their hot and sweet chicken was delicious, but their cold noodles were just meh.. I'll pass on them next time. The cheese pull on the corn cheese was phenomenal! Definitely order them!Overall, great spot for a late night grub. Be mindful that the overall ambiance is very loud! Playlist was fire.

Get their chicken wings. I feel like that wasn't emphasized much in other peoples reviews, but I thought that was the best part. Very crispy and crunchy, yet juicy. Loved their batter and the sauce.Their serving size was huge, they would recommend for 4 ppl. But I think it's enough if that's literally all we ate. But we order other things like the army stew, fried rice, the pancake, and some ramen. The fried was good, a little too salty, the army stew was solid. I just wish I wasn't so full by the time I got to it, the ramen got a little soggy, but that's my fault. The service was okay, but I think it's the best they could do because they were so busy and short staffed. Took a little while to get the bill at the end. It's in a nice little Korean shopping area, and definitely better than some neighboring spots. It's a nice little pub ish kind of late night spot. Beware of the homeless ppl!

Azit has such a cool vibe. It is a great spot to do some late night drinking and get someT bites. When we entered, there weren't many people so we were seated right away. The service was a bit slow, but that was expected with only one server and it seemed like one cook. We ordered potstickers and budae stew. The potstickers were deep fried and delicious. The budae stew was okay. While it was a large portion (enough to serve 2-3 people), I felt like it was overpriced. It had all the good stuff with spam, sausage, pork, cheese, potstickers, and rice cakes, but I've had it at other places for less and I would say I've had better. I wish there was more spam pieces and rice cakes. I did enjoy it though.

This is an option if you're looking for a korean spot with no wait and not usually busy. The area and city in general has so many options this one gets overlooked unless you're looking for it or tried to go to other places already. There's parking around but it's tough at night sometimes because of other restaurants in the area. It's really dark in here, can't imagine coming her for lunch vs dinner. It's partially because there's nothing here that is sooo good you always think of it or want to get a specific dish from here. But it was ok food, not bad, a little salty but tends to get that way with hotpot as it cooks down and based on the ingredients in it.

I've been wanting to try this place for a really long time and finally had the chance to do so. Parking was OK although it is a little rough in the area sometimes. Food definitely is super good and the drinks are amazing. I love the mix the fusion into their classic Korean dishes. Located in a little plaza where there's also karaoke next door. Prices were OK. Service was pretty good.
