A+ Burger

A+ Burger truly lived up to its name! We were craving burgers after a big hike and chose this place based on its great reviews. The ambiance was super casual and the only seating area was the (dog friendly) front patio. My friend and I both ordered California Burgers (no bacon) and an order of Garlic Fries to share, and my other friend chose the Turkey Burger. For drinks, they had a large selection of flavored Iced Teas, and I chose Pomegranate. Service was friendly and fast, and we were given buzzers to let us know when our food was ready.The burgers were phenomenal! Portion sizes were super generous and the veggies were fresh and crunchy. The fries were perfectly crispy and we loved the garlic flavor. I was also impressed with the Pomegranate Iced Tea - so tasty and refreshing. We also got a Lemon Bar to share for dessert, and it was so good, we actually went back up to get a second one. It had a great level of sweetness and nice powdered sugar on top. Overall, A+ Burger was a gem - would return for more!

I finally got to try A+ Burger after they'd been on my list for awhile and ended up being disappointed with my meal. THE ORDER: 1) California Burger: cheeseburger + avocado + bacon. The burger patty was barely warm, dry, and the toppings felt out of balance - lots of lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion between a thick bun that took me three bites before I hit the patty. 2) We also ordered the A+ burger, which comes with fried eggplant, bacon, and a honey bourbon sauce. The patty was also lukewarm, the eggplant flavor got lost in the burger, and the sauce didn't stand out. 3) Onion ringsThe best thing we ordered. Tender onions encased in a crisp batter and piping hot. Service was below average. You order at the counter and receive a buzzer to come back and pick up your order. I don't expect much from the short interaction at the register, but there was literally no greeting or anything really said when we walked in or when we ordered, and no one checked on us while we were eating.

This was one of my favorite spots a couple years ago but had such a disappointing meal here last night. We Ordered pick up and were told 20 minutes. When we arrived it seemed like they were short handed (which I completely understand) so I had to wait another 10/15 minutes. By the time I got our food, I walked to our car and decided to eat there bc we were starving but the burgers were cold :( The meat was room temperature and all the veggies and pineapple on my teriyaki burger were so cold. I didn't want to fluster the cashier anymore so we just ate what we could and left. After spending $48 on 2 burgers 2 fries and a soda, I couldn't be anymore disappointed and will probably not come back anytime soon.Fries were on point though, they've always been so good and one of the reasons we came back. (FYI ranch is .75 extra)l

Fast service and good burgers. Got the California burger with cheese fries. I liked how they have the Mexican coke - not just the American version.Not the place to have a nice classy dinner. It has mostly outdoor seating. Cold at night. Think hole in the wall / casual. But delicious.

Why? it's a local chain, the food is bomb as **** and good lord do they give you great portions! Talk about incredible service!I gotta say though that when it's raining, the patio does tend to leak which is a bit annoying, but it's not going to deter me from eating here when I'm in the east bay

Overshadowed by overgrown trees and the more prominent signage of the neighboring Saysetha Thai restaurant, this burger spot could easily be bypassed if you weren't looking for it. Fortunately we were on the hunt for a casual bite after a round at the White Horse Inn up Telegraph. This is definitely a reasonably satisfying and thoughtful alternative to the greasier Smokehouse (review: https://yelp.to/nmvCfijAOK).Ironically neither of us had a burger. I came closest by ordering the $9.99 Patty Melt which had an Angus beef patty, grilled onion and mushrooms, cheddar and Swiss cheese, and 1000-island dressing encased in slices of marble rye bread (photo: https://yelp.to/kmFKYiXFW5). That was pretty tasty. Reminded me of the patty melts I used to get in high school at Denny's. The poultry was pretty juicy. We shared the $5.99 order of Onion Rings which were few but huge and crunchy, nicely complemented by a sour cream dipping sauce (photo). As others have mentioned, it can be easy to miss A+ burgers, but it's definitely worth the effort to make sure you don't! The burgers and sides are made to order and come out piping hot. We asked the burgers be cooked medium and they were perfectly juicy and so delicious! The restaurant is less than 10 minutes from the Cal campus so it is a great stop when you're in the area! There is plenty of covered, outdoor seating and street parking out front (or a lot out back but in the area it's best to have eyes on your vehicle) . There are no inside seats and no restrooms for customers.

Got the same order of green beans. Happy to report they were fried to perfection this time! Felt like I was eating green beans with a light crispy coating on the outside, as opposed to the overfried beans last time.

I came here with my mom and the kids after a late night walk around Temescal. They wanted Denny's, but I abhor it. Still feeling like a burger, we came by A+ because I've been here before and have always had great food. The kids had cheeseburgers and fries on lovely fluffy buns. The burger comes with lettuce and tomato, which I forgot to remove from my nieces' burgers. Mom had an Asian inspired salad and loved how it had a plethora of peanuts and a delicious housemade sauce. I had the bibimbap and was disappointed without the bulgogi. Nevertheless, the grilled chicken was a great and flavorful alternative. The egg was perfectly medium and the veggies tasted super fresh. We were accompanied by a friend who had a lettuce-wrapped teriyaki burger. They also loved their meal and were happy they accommodated the request. Our party or 7 was able to sit in the large table and we were able to finish most of the food before the kids got fussy. They also seem to have expanded into a small nook by the exterior entryway. A+ Burger has an array of food options that I appreciate. I hope they expand to a bigger location!

Strawberry matcha was really good here! Fries and green beans are tasty as well. Beef sandwich was good
