Flavors are very unique but otherwise pretty standard texture and taste of regular Portuguese egg custard tarts, though perhaps with a much more crispy and flaky shell. The honey garlic cheese was particularly interesting - more savory than sweet and basically like garlic bread. With the large box size, we managed to try all of the available options. We also ordered a black sesame cookie and due to the thickness, the inside was chewy and soft and the exterior lightly crispy. We arrived right when the fair/event started so no wait, but a long line formed pretty quickly soon after.

Yum. Flaky desserts with just the right sweetness. Loved the cookies and black sesame tartlet. I wish they sold drinks, too.

As I was walking past A&M Patisserie's booth at the SJ Made fair, I noticed the long line and decided to keep walking. On my way past them a second time, I noticed their treats and decided to join that long line. A&M hasFrench pastries with Asian flavors. They had Portuguese egg tarts in multiple flavors, including pandan, vanilla, s'mores, matcha green tea, passionfruit, black sesame, ube and durian. I think there were 12 in all. They also had some cute macarons. I picked up the black sesame, pandan and green tea egg tarts. Everyone in line around me was chatting about the pandan egg tart so of course I had to try them! The tarts are not too sweet with a rich and custardy filling. The puff pastry crust is light and delicate with many layers of buttery goodness. The flavors were not terribly pronounced but it's enough to indicate what each one is. My favorite is the matcha green tea. I advise checking their IG page for the latest updates on their pop up locations.

Discovered A&M Patisserie at the SJ Made holiday fair. I saw so many people walking around the fair carrying boxes of what appeared to contain pastries. I finally asked someone what was inside their box and they told me they were egg tarts from A&M Patisserie. The line at this vendor was the longest of all, but I joined the queue and was so glad that I did. The line moved quickly. Not only were there egg tarts to chose from, but there were also macarons and cookies. There were many flavors to select from, but I went with vanilla, ube, matcha, and coffee dalgona egg tarts and a matcha cookie. It was all good and I would purchase them again... especially the matcha ones.

I bought 6 Portugese egg tarts from Alice and Matthieu's booth at the SJ Made Holiday Craft fair. I got 2 vanilla, 1 matcha, 1 black sesame, 1 pandan, and 1 durian tart. I reheated them in my air fryer to crisp up the pastry and shared the tarts with my family. The pastry was super flakey and buttery and the custard was slightly more creamy and less set compared to Chinese egg tarts. I usually am partial to the Chinese version, but I may have been convinced after this. All the flavors I tried were absolutely delicious, but my favorite by far was the durian egg tart! It had the perfect amount of durian flavor and blended right in with the custard. If you've been on the fence about durian as a fruit, I feel like this egg tart really highlights the flavor of durian while the smell that most people are apprehensive about is much more subtle. The like was pretty long but ordering was very quick and the owners are so friendly! Can't wait for the next time I grab more egg tarts!

A&M Patisserie has the best macarons and cream puffs! They catered for our wedding and everyone really enjoyed every piece of the desserts. We ordered a range of fruity flavors: raspberry passionfruit macaron, earl grey kumquat cream puff, mango passionfruit cream puff, and mixed berries mousse cup. All of them turned out amazing. We highly recommend A&M and you should try one of their desserts!!
