On a very cold New York evening, I was craving ramen. After a few back and forth between yelp and Reddit I landed on this restaurant.I was seated right away, and the restaurant is very cute. Always appreciate a real candle. The server was kind and attentive. I started with the mule highballs and the crispy rice appetizer. Both were good, nothing outstanding.I then order the spicy pulled pork ramen. Part of my love for ramens comes from the delicious ramen eggs, the Wanpaku ramen egg was disappointing.. the spicy pulled pork was quite good, but the broth was underwhelming. Overall this was a very average experience.

Hands down this is one of my favorite ramen places in the city. You MUST try the pulled pork ramen. First ramen place I've seen do it, and they do it damn well. My friend and I also had a few highballs, and they were all so delicious and refreshing. Didn't have appetizers this time around, but I did last time and I can safely say I don't think I've ever had a bad menu item here.

The ramen is freshly made & the service is quick. The happy hour menu is great too as it includes a drink & the mochi desserts were good. The egg in the ramen tasted old but not bad. Did not like that the owners were very pushy for a tip, basically begging but other than that I'd go back but I've had better ramen

Really amazing happy hour! I got the edamame which was so savory and delicious and the karaage chicken. The chicken was pretty spicy so I wouldn't recommend if you are sensitive to spicy food. The restaurant is rather small but we didn't have problems getting a table on a Wednesday night. The servers were very attentive and made sure our drinks stayed full.

I'm thrilled to have discovered this place. The karaage was excellent, and the highball was refreshing. The food felt authentically delicious. I'm looking forward to returning to check out the hidden bar.

Nice unassuming restaurant located in the heart of Greenpoint with lots of different eateries around.Walked in and only had to wait for a couple of minutes for a table. The decor is minimalistic and reminds one of the late night Izakaya's in the heart of Tokyo. Seating is limited and the place was busy.We ordered various Yuzu cocktails, Shishito Peppers, Chicken Karage, Squash Fritters/Balls?, Nori Fries, Beef Miso Ramen and more. The staff is kind and polite and the service was quick.Taste wise we really liked the Peppers and the Chicken, Ramen was meh...Would surely like to come again and try a few more cocktails and drinks from their extensive menu...

It is an excellent place to have oysters on Tuesday and Wednesday and it was delicious when I visited on July 2nd, 2024The dipping ramen (cold) was nice and spicy and it was balanced. The Sapporo was nice and ice cold in a glass. The services are as polite as they will get. But, I also livestream my food experience as a food critic and journalist. Come with family here or on a date. The atmosphere was calm and lit. I will visit again soon.

environment was really cute! the spicy karage had a good amount of heat and had a very mala flavor to it. Katsudon was perfectly lightly crispy drizzled with a sweet sauce. the curry was also super hearty and paired perfectly with the ebi fry.

We came here for dinner around 8:30pm on a Friday night and were seated right away with a table for 6. We were initially going to Hidden Pearl, but since the menu only had small plates, we decided to do a full meal at wanpaku first before heading inside. They were so accommodating and had a space saved for us inside hidden pearl when we were done eating. We ordered a few apps to share, and everyone got their own entreeMy favorite app was definitely the shime saba (cured mackerel). Nice flavor but a little salty, and reminded me of the pressed mackerel sushi from raku. The tai-chan wings (comes with 5) were just ok for me, but at least they came out piping hotAs for entrees- the bf got the shoyu ramen with pork chashu and chili oil. The soup had a nice clean flavor. No complaints with this one, but not the best ramen we've had.- I got the katsu don, which is pork katsu on a bed of rice and pickled veggies. I wouldn't recommend this one because it was quite plain. I loved the vegetable shoyu soup though! SO good and probably my favorite part of the meal.I'd be down to try other things on the menu and maybe come for happy hour, but I wouldn't repeat the food we ordered that night

Another one crossed off the list. I wanted to visit the speakeasy portion of restaurant but because of my flight, I had to settle for HH lunch. Top to bottom, everything was great. The spicy karaage, cucumber salad, and spicy chicken tan tan ramen were highlights. The broth was creamy and rich, truly divine. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was unexpected but a really good dish. Very beautiful space. Can't wait to return. Service was very quick and attentive.
