My girl's night the other Friday was so perfect that I had to come back last night for an early Valentines Day dinner and treat my husband. I raved how good everything was last Friday so needless to say, expectations were set pretty high.First off, we arrived like 25 mins. early last night and they seated us immediately. Also gave us the best booth overlooking a glimpse of the action below. Terrence was great, thank you! Buffy immediately greeted me and recognized me from last week and said Alyssa would be taking care of us. Alyssa was INCREDIBLE! Honestly without her super warm and attentive service, this updated review may have been lower than a 4. Alyssa was definitely above 5 out of 5. Thank you so very much, Alyssa. Truly one of the very best we encountered living here in NYC!Started off with a glass of Rose Cremant from Alsace while my husband had a 9 oz Argentinian Malbec. Both great. Bread and butter comes and it was yum, thanks for the additional pretzels! We also enjoyed the bacon appetizer, perfect with that honey mustard dip. The French Onion soup arrived but noticeably smaller size and a different bowl/container and not as cheesy and good from last week, that's okay. But the reason wht this isn't a repeat 5-star from last week is because the Wagyu Steak Frites is where it fell flat. My husband's medium preference came out medium rare and my supposedly medium rare felt rare. That and it lacked salt. Like they seemed to have forgotten to put salt. I ordered an au poivre sauce and even with it, it couldnt compensate for it being underseasoned. My husband was trying to get some salt from the pretzels to put in his steak. He specifically asked me to not complain or ask for salt to not offend or be seen as wanting to be comp'd. So I ate 65% and was asked if I wanted it to go and I just said no it's okay. So I'm not sure what happened in the kitchen. I actually felt somehow bad because my husband said, you said it was really good. Oh well. Too bad I couldn't control the consistency in taste and quality of the steak, right. ;)Desserts came and we were excited for our 12 layer chocolate cakes. But we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious Cheesecake too. We ended up finishing it and taking the chocolate cake slices home. Still tasted divine when we enjoyed it today.Will emphasize that I'm still a big fan and especially commend the team and the service esp. Alyssa, Buffy, Terrence etc. I just wish the Wagyu steak wasn't a let down last night.

Overall we had an amazing experience here and delicious meal Started with some wine, they had an extensive selection which was nice because we had some people with varying tastesWe ordered wedge salads which were excellent and higher quality than many other steak houses I've been to. It was my favorite part of the meal. We all got proteins and split sides for our main dishes. We tried almost one of everything. The mac and cheese was a must! And so were the mushrooms. Sometimes fish can be a miss at a steak place but these were top notch with such great flavor- if you had to get one the salmon was our favorite. Steaks were all cooked to perfection with LOTS of peppercorn on the outside. A few people at my take didn't like that but I loved it! Personal preference We did wait around two hours for our main dishes to come out. We were a big party on a Saturday so we understood. Some people had to run out because they made plans three hours after our reservation time and thought we would be done by then. We also didn't get some sides we ordered until we were already done with our meal so we had to send them back which was disappointing. The staff knew the kitchen was backed up on our order so they took them off the bill no problem which was super nice of them Something to keep in mind you will be dining for a while but it makes sense with the quality of food and number of tables The staff was really professional and kind. I wouldn't say I'm running back here but it was a great meal!!

I had the pleasure of revisiting strip house steakhouse to celebrate my mom's 75th birthday in October 29th. We had an amazing time with my mom's, uncle and brother. Alyssa our server fantabulous, curtious, informative and smile that will light up any room. The steaks cooked and seasoned to perfection, and add the garlic to each bite puts the steak over the top for me. Mac & cheese is the best that I had at a restaurant seasoned, cheesy, with a little crunch to it. The whipped potatoes light with the right amount of butter and salt.The asparagus tasted good and the fries crispy and salted nicely. Baked potato my mom's enjoyed. One of the best part us my mom's had enough food for the next day between dinner and desert. The deserts were moist and saviory and it's nothing like their old fashioned drink.Much love and appreciation to John for showing my mother and family a tremendous time for her birthday. When worst thing can say about place is the filet mignon was more medium rare then medium it was good meal. Not sure if undercooked due to thickness, not wanting to go to medium or that other steak was for medium rare. Both steaks were great. I got restaurant week menu which they did not provide menu but knew it from online. Salad was nice healthy way to start meal. I am not a big mushroom fan but loved there's. Dessert was perfect as I am sure it was par cooked and then reheated but did not have frozen taste ot be dry. Only recommendation is should hade a stout ot porter on beer list.

Looking for an incredible steakhouse? Stop right here and get yourself over to Strip House. The steaks were absolutely perfect and easily one of the best steakhouses out there.They start you off with these warm, soft pretzel rolls with the softest butter that melts in your mouth. Hard to resist not ordering more.I ordered the filet mignon au poivre and they nailed it. I love the charred salt and pepper seasoning on top and combined with the sauce, it was outstanding. Do NOT skip out on the sides. There are sooo many to choose from and they're all so delicious. Number one is the whipped potato puree, which is so perfectly buttery. Also get the Mac and cheese and the black truffle creamed spinach. Finally, we ended the night with their classic 24 layer chocolate cake. We split one slice with 4 people and we were STUFFED. Can't wait to come back here for more!!

Came here as a celebration for my gf's graduation and the server provided a spectacular service. For starters, the server highly recommended the truffle spinach and crab cake, so we went along with her recommendation. I'm a truffle lover myself and the truffle taste just melted into your mouth. Everybody should choose the truffle spinach as a starter. The crab cake was okay. For entrée, we did the salmon and 8 Oz new york strip which came with fries. Both entrée were of high quality. It's a good idea to pair wine with your steak. The fries were so tasty that I wish they served bigger portion of it. Overall, I would recommend anybody looking to come here for a cozy dine in.

Experience was amazing , my fiancé and I went for restaraunt week . The place was clean and was not too crowded as we went a little after 5pm . We both ordered the 8oz steak off the restaraunt week menu , as well as items off the regular menu . I ordered the oyster style crab meat . The steak was tasty, the crab meat was amazing . The mock-tail was really good and to my liking . The tuna and watermelon salad was good . Shout out to all the staff as they made us feel welcome and had phenomenal customer service skills and special shout out to our waiter MeAlyssa , exceptional service . We will be back

Here's the deal: it was just ok. It's a typical NYC Steak house. It had a classy atmosphere. But the food was not special. Porterhouse for 2 didn't have a lot of flavor and needed side sauces to assist. The waiter kept trying to upsell items that we didn't want. I've had better thick cut bacon elsewhere. The oysters were good, but again... not something I can get anywhere else . Dessert layers cake looks pretty good. Not a stand out steakhouse for the $$$$

Amazing food with an amazing atmosphere. Very cozy inside with plenty of red lighting to make you feel like you stepped back in time to a speakeasy. Lots of great selections of seafood and different steaks. Did not think I had room for dessert, but the baked Alaska was over the top as well as the chocolate cake martini.

I thought I was here for something entirely different. For those of you who share my twisted thoughts, calm down y'all, it's a RESTAURANT, a steakhouse. Tehehe. However, Strip House didn't disappoint with their risqué wall art so there's THAT. **snaps fingers** "LOVE IT!"It was near closing time but what I was able to try was all super delicious. I strongly recommend their cold seafood offerings....WITH a Japanese whisk(e)y of course. Eff what the connoisseurs says. Thank you Norma. It was a pleasure watching you do your thing. So professional yet with a bit of a mummy vibe and the icing on the cake that you and my mummy are name twins!I'll definitely tell all I know about SH and be back for more!The End.
