Frankie & Johnnie's Steak House

Food was great. Surprising Lu whole ambiance that wouldn't have guessed from store front. Went in a Friday, great live music. Ambiance was great, service was friendly and accommodating. Overall nice surprise across our hotel stay.

I've been wanting to try Frankie & Johnnie's for years and finally go to do so. I'm A sucker for old school steakhouse, especially in NYC. From an atmosphere and service perspective, this place hits all the marks. And the food was outstanding. We had a filet, the Chilean sea bass, and for the table we had fries, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Was it pricey? Well.....yes if you consider the very small potions. A la carte steakhouses traditionally give BIG portions for sides....not here. So for a party of 3, which included two filets, the fish, the sides, a shared dessert, two beers and one cocktail....the bill was $380 after tip. So a little steep but overall a very good experience.

Accompanied by a substantial group, we received satisfactory service. However, it is important to note that the establishment commands exorbitant prices. Despite this, the culinary offerings were of high quality. The macaroni and cheese stands out as an exceptional dish, surpassing any I have previously encountered.

I came to Frankie's and Johnnie's for a little snack before a party . I liked the casual atmosphere yet still maintaining the steakhouse appeal . I ordered some wine and ravioli appetizer after being greeted by a very nice bartender. The item arrived and I was excited to devour the handmade dish by recommendation. In sum, the ravioli was good but certainly not great considering the options of NY . A bit bland and something I'd expect at a lower tier restaurant . The other items looked quite good ( as I watched the en come out of the kitchen ). I would certainly come back but would order a steak next time

Tinas take: 11/10First I need to say the service was amazing. Our waiter was very informative and was so nice. They treated us so nicely and it was a pleasant time. The place was absolutely beautiful and another worker showed us to their room that was closed off for a party with a little back story. The food was amazing we ordered two appetizers the crab and calamari. The calamari was light and super tasty. For dinner this steak was one of the best ribeyes I ever had. Dessert is so good can't complain in that area as well but I was already so full. I would absolutely eat here again for the service alone. Totally recommend!

The Ambiance is old school NY with a lot of dark wood. Been here several times. The manager is very friendly and accommodating. The service was fine. I got the 8 oz filet medium rare. It was too salty. You can actually see the white salt on the steak. It was ok though.

So, 11 months ago I left a yelp review for this restaurant and gave it 5 stars. Tuesday night (1/28/25) I again was in NYC and visited this restaurant again and it didn't disappoint me.. I had the Caesar Salad, Onion Soup & and the Prince Sirloin Steak.. Since I live out of town, I will hope the next time I'm in NYC I can go again and bring my wife.. See you next time!!!!!!

Best steak house in Manhattan. Expensive but you get what you pay for. Delightful staff very attentive. A must visit every time in the city!

Frankie & Johnny's is one of the best! You will not be disappointed here. Spyro is wonderful and the food is the best around. Trust me!

The food was delicious, I had the lobster bisque and was so fresh and yummy! It was a perfect spot for my husband and I.
