My partner wanted to try a new spot, and I was craving sushi--so we decided to check this place out.Food: 4/5The food was good! My partner and I were impressed by how fresh the seafood was! My favorites of the night: *The sashimi platter, especially with the wasabi soy sauce--so umami heaven! *The hoji tea, which was big and super comforting. *The seared salmon ball, a standout dish.Service: 4/5The night was pretty busy, and the service started off a bit slow--it took longer than usual to place our order. However, once things got rolling, they were on point. Our plates came out one by one, which kept the pacing nice. The atmosphere was super chill, making it a great spot for date night.Overall:I'd definitely go back, especially for the sashimi, drinks, and the lovely area to walk around in Brooklyn. Perfect for a relaxed date night!

Another perfect dinner at Bozu! I reviewed this place over a year ago and came back only to be again thrilled with an absolutely fantastic experience! We had the pork Betty (one of my faves here at bozu), the party bomb, and the party bomb special and all of them were delicious of course! The service as usual was also fast, attentive, and very kind and polite--they are constantly ready to refill waters, clear tables, and stay out of the way of a great conversation while still being so helpful and attentive when you want or need anything! The decor as always very cool, fun and perfect for the middle - high end sushi vibes.I highly recommend anyone in the area come by for a visit! Perfect for friends, family, or a date!

Came here the other night and we got the special party sushi bombs, salmon and avocado roll, spicy tuna roll and the negi toro roll. This place was very good and would recommend coming here! My favorite roll was the negi toro roll and my favorite sushi bomb was the scallop. Fish was fresh and a unique idea with the sushi bombs. I'd come back here!

Service is a 0/5, sushi was MID at best, but the ambiance is cozy and romantic! Came in on a Sunday evening with barely anyone in here but it took forever to be acknowledged by anyone. Not only that but the server barely said anything to us and showed us zero hospitality.I thought that was okay because everyone knows the best Asian restaurants have the worse service because they know they're THAT good. Unfortunately not this place. The fish quality was good as I expected it to be for the price in brooklyn, but the rice was dry, like airplane rice. If it weren't for the fish quality it would be garbage. We got the special party bomb and it had some good pieces because the fish quality, and I liked the concept of pouring the soy sauce on top instead of dipping, but hard to return here if you have high standards for food and service. The ambiance is so cute if you're looking for a romantic spot and have never had good sushi before!

A great stop to enjoy some quality Japanese food! Would highly recommend the pork gyoza, pork Betty, and party bomb. Cocktails were decently priced too.

We sat at the end of the low counter that wrapped around the entrance all the way in the corner. It was nice to be tucked away and have a view of the front of the restaurant. The dimly lit and lively atmosphere was refreshing after a long week at work. We ordered a full bottle of cold unfiltered sake that was lovely on the palate, dry on the finish and chic to drink in these square sake glasses. They even gave us a bottle chiller to keep everything cooled off throughout the meal which was a nice touch. The sashimi trio was a perfect start, all of the pieces of fish were so delicious on the palate. Tender bite sized portions that we had to take our time not to rush eating. As the sake and conversation flowed, we were told it was last call for the kitchen. The staff then recommended the salmon bomb and since we wanted to try more of the bomb style bites, we ordered the party sampler. Every. Single. Bite. Was. Amazing. I loved the tuna with the crispy flakes the most, and the kick your nostrils wasabi soy sauce was so fun to lightly drip over the mouthwatering bites of sushi bombs. The staff were super kind, and let us stay past close while they cleaned up. I hadn't seen my friend in months, and our conversation was running long so we headed out to the bars right down the street no

Went to Bozu with two girlfriends tonight-- one who had been before and was her favorite sushi restaurant. Upon arriving, the curly-haired host was nonchalant about sitting us. We sat at the bar and shared the Party Bomb (+Ikura), the Salmon Toro Bomb and the edamame for appetizer. The edamame was shriveled and cold. We told her and said she'd heat it up. Is it not fresh? Was it old? The bombs arrived, which we loved. And the edamame returned, still shrivels and dry, but now warm. 0/10 on that. Finally, my gf ordered a bomb to go. The server failed to put it in our check, and then the host stood over us arguing with my friend as we were about to go; we each had already paid. The server apologized for not adding to to the check and the host stood so close to me with the iPad in my face. I asked her politely to move away but her attitude was irritating. Let's just say this isn't my gf's sushi spot anymore lol. She was really embarrassed with the quality of service we received tonight. But the bombs were delicious!

My girlfriend and I went here for a date night on the last Friday of 2022. Sadly, we never got our dinner. I believe this may be the only restaurant where I ordered 1 dinner item on a slow night and yet somehow it was forgotten. I love sushi and had this place bookmarked, so was excited to give it a shot. We planned for a 9pm reservation to avoid a crowd, with a movie to follow at Nitehawk nearby in the neighborhood. The ambience has a cool vibe, and we sat at the bar which was not busy this late with multiple open seats. We ordered 2 appetizers pretty quickly - the ceviche special and the seafood hotpot. Short of 5 minutes later ordered the party bomb sushi platter as an entree to share, and saw the bartender go to the kiosk right after my order. Both appetizers came out fairly quick and tasted great. From there we waited for our sushi platter and I ordered a cocktail to hold me over. We noticed a bunch of other customer's food coming out, but also noticed the visible kitchen line slowing down. After waiting about 30 min we asked the waiter to check our order and it was 9:50 at this point, so 10 minutes before they close. He checked with both of the guys working behind the bar who were looking back at us - it was very clear they forgot to put in the 1 dinner item we ordered. The one guy we ordered with came back to confirm the order and he seemed a bit embarrassed, but after waiting this long for nothing, we had to rush out (to catch our movie) so they just apologized several times however did not offer to comp anything. With trying to catch a late dinner before a movie but not getting one, this definitely ruined our evening. Thinking back, I had to wave someone down anytime I wanted to order an item. Not a good experience but the tease of appetizers we received were enjoyable so giving a 2 instead of a 1.

Veggie sushi bomb. Yes. That good. There is something that about the shape of these delicious little mounds of rice topped with roasted Brussels sprouts that keeps me coming back.Update: I have found the quality or something I can't put my finger on, to have gone down and the prices to have gone way up. Sad.
