Yellow Bird Cafe

The food was very good and fresh. We tried the basic breakfast with eggs, link sausage and a biscuit. We also had the mushroom and sausage omelette. Service was good and the waitresses were trying hard to cover a completely full restaurant. No issues getting coffee refills. The restaurant is kept very clean.

This my second time patronizing this restaurant. Nothing has changed since 2019. I Love the cute hometown feel and the service is impeccable.

Oh my goodness this is our new favorite breakfast place! My husband got the yellow bird breakfast, the potatoes -AMAZING!! The sausage links - AMAZING!! I got the BLTA (BLT with avocado) and it was sooo goo! Honestly the grilled potatoes were my favorite part of the meal but everything was delicious! Can't wait to go back and try more!

Yellow bird I so good! Their French toast and pancakes are killer. This place is normally very busy but the wait is never too long. Service is good, sometimes slow but considering how busy they tend to be is reasonable. The vibe is cute, it's very old time but this is my to go to breakfast/ bunch place in Hammond.

Slow service, but good food. Had the French toast combo. My egg was cooked to perfection. French toast was really good. Didn't even need syrup!

Ordered a dozen breakfast burritos for pick up. Very nice customer service. Each one was individually packaged with rice beans salsa and sour cream. I didn't expect that! Too kind! They were yummy!

Stopped in here for breakfast. It was wonderful. I love flavorful foods that aren't too spicy. The Mexican breakfast was just that. Eggs cooked perfectly. Salsa and refried black beans perfectly seasoned. Bacon thick and slightly salty. Miguel, was polite and attentive. Coffee and water refilled without asking. If you're looking for food that sets your lips on fire, this is not the place. Come here for good food and good service

A must for breakfast in the Hammond area! This family restaurant makes you feel like you're at your grandma's house. Sink into one of their well-worn booths & enjoy a delicious meal. They're always happy to see you & take great care to make sure your experience is a good one. Their extensive options can be a little overwhelming, but we've never been disappointed with anything we've ordered. The specialty pancakes are a huge hit with the kids. The Latino influence rounds out the menu nicely. Everything is cooked and served with passion.

Yummy food, kind staff, quick service! We were just passing through town and it was the only thing open at 7AM on a Sunday. We have no regrets on the food! The cleanliness of the bathrooms could use some work.

Food was good. Can't say it was Great. Service was spotty. If you only have good food you should really be famous for your service. It took a minute or two to get coffee and had to ask for water with no straw. The ambience is great. Out of the way place. I would try again. Hopefully they read this and improve on service.
