Waloos Sports Bar and Grill

If i could have given this place no stars, I would have. Myself and a friend from out of town came in after the big LSU win over Florida looking to keep the party going but we were sadly disappointed. We belly up to the bar and one bartender is chit chatting with some other patrons that he was obviously friends with because he didn't even acknowledge us. The other bartender though really ticked us off. After we'd been sitting there for about 5 minutes with no acknowledgment, a young beatch walks up to the bar and gets immediate service by the 2nd bartender. I told my friend from out of town, we're out of here.I refuse to give my money to a business that caters to only the people that the bartender's know and not people who would have spent a heck of alot more money because we're probably 15-20 years older and more established than the younger crowd that normally patronizes their crappie establishment.

They are just getting started:Staffing is short - they should consider hiring a permanent kitchen person rather than have the bartender do both (tend bar and cook).....Come on ... that's asking too much on a busy night...They may far out ok if they can get their act together ....Still a few things to iron out ...

I come here because my friends come here; the crowd is pretty good if you're youngish and nerdy, or maybe even a hipster looking for a bar in Metairie. Their menu is pretty good, but I'm not exactly sure what the cook's schedule is. There have been a couple of times I've been here and there's been no cook, and I'm not sure if it was because of the hour or because the cook just never showed up. There are fun events like karaoke and bingo, and there's usually a good energy from the patrons taking part. Every once in a while there's some drunken drama, but it's never impeded my night out.The bartender is also super cute and nice.

Drinks are reasonably priced and there is a friendly staff. The onion rings and cheese fries are really yummy and they have one of the best burgers that I have had in Metairie! It's a pretty laid back atmosphere and there are about 5 tvs to watch-- good for watching Saints games! They even have a beer pong set up in a small room in the back-- what more could you want???

This place has been on my list to visit ever since the discussion on Talk. I pass by almost every morning, but never stop in before going to work. Today, I decided I would visit after work. Walked in and realized it wouldn't ever be a dark hole in the hole as there are windows across the entire front of the place. It was smoky as expected, even at this time of day, but not too bad as it was early, yet. Plenty of TVs scattered around. There were a few booths and a few tables plus plenty of stools up against the bar. Draft selection limited although they do have Abita and Canebrake. There were plenty of bottled options in cooler. For entertainment, there was a Foosball table and in a side rooms, pool tables. It's a bar, so the ever present video poker machines and an ATM were there for you. Small stage for musician which I suspect is for a karaoke night.

Everything you need in a great bar. Ice cold beer, huge liquor selection, all your favorite shots and really good food. Everything is very reasonably priced and they always have drink specials. There is always something going on from themed parties to live music to comedy shows. This is my crews favorite spot. Good mixed crowd all age ranges with no rift raft. Great juke box always with a variety of music.

The "owner" of this bar is disgusting! He gets wasted at the bar and is all over the young girls in the bar.The bartender, "Glen" got so drunk that he actually threw up in the parking lot! How disguising! Aren't you suppose to be an employee?There was hardly ever a bartender behind the bar because they were in the back cooking food. I had to sit and wait 20 minutes for every drink because the bartender could not be found! Needless to say, i ended up going to the bar next door.
