Walker's Southern Style BBQ

I've been trying to come here for years but because of the weird hours (Thurs-Fri 10:30am- 2pm) I never could make it. I finally caught them one Friday and boy was it worth the wait. The lady at the window was so nice, she took her time with me and answered all the questions I had. I got Ribs, Wings, a few sides collards & jambalaya, and the famous smoke chicken Salad everyone talks about. The ribs are the best ribs I've had so far in New Orleans they were sweet, salty and so tender. My first bite I took the meat LITERALLY almost dropped on the ground. The perfect bite! The Wings were awesome as well they had a nice spice to them I just wish they had just a little more salt. Now, all the great talk I heard about the Smoke Chicken Salad was no lie. It's hard to explain the amount of flavor it had man you just have to try it yourself. The sides were just ok nothing to write home about. If you can ever get there you gotta go but make sure you remember the times they're open.

You're going to have to go to the east for this one, so make sure you gas your car up before taking a trip here. You still might get car jacked, but it's worth the risk. The BBQ here is one of the best in the city. The Chochon de lait is go-to for me when I touch down and visit the city. But you can't go wrong with anything from walkers, it's all good!Staff is friendly, and will have your food out pretty quickly. The store hours are kinda weird in my opinion so make sure you look/call ahead and make sure they are actually open before taking the risk to come there. I don't take pulled pork seriously from anywhere else because of this place.

My favorite bbq anywhere! It's the BEST but the hours are totally freaky so call ahead. Right now (12/2022) they are open m-f about 10:30- the meats run out. Call ahead to make sure they're open!

Without a doubt...One of the best, and my absolute favoriteBBQ in New Orleans and God's planet Earth!I look forward to this spot every year!Center cut Spare Ribs, and these Smoked Wings tho!!!!!! Potato Salad and Mustard Greens areOff da Hook!!!!No sauces needed for nuthin!Came as a recommendation years back, from Anthony Bourdain himself! HellaBomb!!!!

Best bbq I've had since moving here, absolutely love the ppl that work there they all are so nice and you get your food quickly

We stopped for lunch & ordered 2 Cochon de last (pork) poboy's with slaw & peach cobbler. The pork was moist, tender & tasty the slaw was a great balance with being a little sweet & definitely get it on the French roll. The peach cobbler was sweet & had plenty of flakey crust.Boy we lucked out they are only open until 3 pm or till they run out on Thursdays and Fridays & today is Thursday. We got there around 1:40 pm & they closed at 2:10 pm. So get there early. They were so friendly & helpful as we stumble through are order.

Delicious cochon de lait poboy & wonderful potato salad. I'm a snob about potato salad & loved it. Call first before going because they often sell out. Every time I have gone service was great. There are picnic tables outside. I've only taken out, so I don't know if there's any seating inside.

Price of food not worth it. Taste old. 7 pieces of fat burnt ends and scope of jambalaya for $28 and some change. Walkers need to close down robbing the community

The food is delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can sit on the inside where they have picnic style seating using tables and bench seating or on the outside. There is a hanging menu with all of the delicious food that they serve.

**The best BBQ ribs in Nola. Smoke favor. The only problem with the restaurant is that it's only open 3 days a week. The restaurant is closed at 2:pm. So place your order early. 4 stars.
