The food was what I expected. I had the meatball stew with black eyed peas and carrot soufflé. The food was perfectly seasoned and I was more than full. You will not leave there hungry. The service was good and the setting was perfect. The only issue I had was the temperature. It was a little too warm inside.

A stellar lunch. They serve only Louisiana-raised shrimp, crawfish & catfish. We were in the area visiting family. Manager showed us the ropes as soon as we entered, & he was on top of his game. Friendly, efficient service, even with a busy drive-thru. 7-8 tables inside, 4 nice tables on the front porch. Portions were large, and everyone loved their food: Etoufee, catfish, carrot souffle, mashed potatoes, broccoli & cheese, Homemade Rolls (good bread ups the * count, so a 5.5!), a delicious array of cakes and cheesecake, & they even had Mr. Pibb in the fountain. We all had leftovers to take home, so the pricing was very reasonable! Made a good day better!

Delicious home cooked dinner like Meemaw use to make! Just go there!! Nice people, clean facility and good food!

Our party of 6 stopped in on the way out of Louisiana for a plate lunch. It was late but there was still lots of food. In fact, they were still frying pork chops. I chose the red beans and rice, fried pork chop, Mac n Cheese, and potato salad with a dinner roll. It was all so hot and fresh and so well seasoned. The portion size was plentiful and for less than $10. As far as the taste, it was incredible. I mean the red beans and rice were phenomenal. The fried pork chop was cooked to perfection. The Mac n Cheese was okay and so was the potato salad, even though it was on the mustardy side. The dinner rolls tasted homemade. My aunts loved the cabbage rolls and the burgers. The patties were super thick. The white chocolate bread pudding is a must! Oh lord! No words!! But aside from the delicious food, the pride of Veronica's would have to be Mr. Alexander. He became my daughter's best friend when he searched for her some corn bread, heated it up, then served her some milk to try it together. He has such a warm personality with great customer service skills. Friendly people like him is why I love south Louisiana and the good food doesn't hurt either.

This place here is SO DARN GOOD! I had the smothered okra with chicken & sausage, potato salad, beets, and a strawberry cake to top it off. Usually I don't care for okra if it'd slimy, but the consistency here was just perfect! The chicken and sausage just paired harmoniously well together. I'm indeed coming back to try this place again!

They cook the best liver and gravy , bbq on Sundays . The menu is different plates every day! But some things burgers etc they always have great family owned and service is great

I was in the area and have been heard by word of mouth about this place. It's a little out of the way and away from the highway, and may not look like much, but the drive is worth it!When arrived, I was greeted and welcomed by the nice people of Veronica's. The smell of deliciousness was in the air, and I could not wait to dive into some goodness! We had the hamburger steak w/mash potatoes and side of potato salad and white beans, and it was so good! The mash potatoes was nice and creamy, and the hamburger steak was delicious and flavorful!They change up their menu everyday, and I cannot wait to try their other stuff!

Ok I love this place! It's tiny inside I would consider it a whole in the wall. It's passed hands a few times since I've known about it in 2008. The owners now have been around for a few years. I'm never disappointed. Home cooked southern food that Cajuns actually approve of! It's worth the stop at I-49 exit on hector connley. Best gumbo in the area. Call ahead to order for the drive thru. Love the food here !! Everyday of the week they have certain plates but fridays are my absolute favorite! Veronica's is always my go to lunch spot !

This place is the bomb. Great food for the soul. Great people that love to cook. Get you some.
